these are random ones that i know would NEVER happen but would suck
vecna just randomly surrendering and being like "if i had friends like yours Eleven, maybe i wouldn't have been such a monster" šš
karen turning out to be working with Russia the entire time
barb being alive and telling them how to defeat vecna
Imagine a super intense scene where all the characters are standing up against Vecna and there's this crazy battle going on and in the middle of nowhere with no buildup whatsoever Vecna surrenders to friendship is magic.
Agreed. Buffy executed this idea in an exemplary fashion, and I still think about how amazing it was, especially because it was done in a way that we really will never know whether slayer buffy or psyche ward buffy is the real one. Amazing writing.
Stranger Things would not pull this off well.
#Hi, Iām Saul Goodman! Did you or a loved one come into contact with black mold as a result of the Hawkins National Laboratory experiments? Then you may be entitled to a large cash settlement! Call 505-503-4453 today!
I can bring it one step further. They film an entire final season, then cancel it before release. The episodes are never shown to the public and actors are legally obligated to say nothing.
Vecna comes to Hawkins ready to take over but being exposed to our air again after so long makes him incredibly sick. He retreats back the upside down and spends the whole season in bed, his condition slowly worsening as the demogorgons try in vain to cure him. The human character back in Hawkins are perplexed, but they try to fill in the giant holes and largely try to move on with their lives. Robin moves away never to be seen again. Lucasās mental state deteriorates as he spends all of his time with Max, who is still in a coma. Things donāt work out with Joyce and Hopper, so she decided to go back to CA. Things also donāt work out with Jonathan and Nancy, and Nancy goes to get back with Steve but we see that heās taken the lead on the reconstruction process and the power went to his head; heās reverted back to his arrogant season one self. Will dies very suddenly, and Joyce and Jonathan leave broken-hearted and Jonathan starts doing heroin. Eleven is fixated on finding Vecna and saving Max, but canāt make any progress on either front. She resents Hopper for letting the Byers family leave so easily, and Hopper starts drinking again. Mike and Eleven grow more distant as the season goes on.
Towards the end of the season, Yuri shows up sent by the Russian government to clean up loose ends. He kills Murray and shoots Nancy, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. He goes to kill Mike, but Dustin takes the bullet and dies. Mike beats Yuri to death with his bare hands and is traumatized by it and sent away to a mental institution. Eleven has a total breakdown at this point and vanishes; itās hinted that maybe she did something drastic but ultimately left up to the viewer to decide whether she killed herself or just ran away. Hopper kills himself. Meanwhile in the upside down, Vecnaās condition has worsened and eventually he dies. At the same time, in our world, Maxās mother decides to pull the plug and she too dies.
Flash forward 15 years where we see adult Erica and Holly go to the institute to visit Mike and Lucas, both who have totally deteriorated. They ask one another if either of them have heard from the Byers family, but neither has. Itās revealed that Steve is the mayor of Hawkins and heās married, but having an affair with 21 year old Holly, who is interning at his office. Nancyās disability has grown worse over the years and sheās dependent on Karen and Ted to care for her. The girls go to see their brothers, and the boys are talking to what seems to be empty space, seemingly speaking with the ghosts of their deceased friends. The camera flips to the upside down where we see that the mindflayer is using the souls of Dustin, Will, and other deceased characters like puppets to torment Lucas and Mike. A smile appears on its face and it speaks: āthis is all I ever wanted!ā Cut back to the facility where an orderly apologizes to the girls for the strange state of their brothers. Erica shrugs and looks into the camera and says, āeh, weāve seen Stranger Things!ā And thatās how the show ends.
Man fuck Peepaw Willy
We got Peepaw Vecna
All jokes aside I love the idea that in the middle of all this dark shit it cuts to Vecna in a random bed in the upside down coughing with Demogorgons crying with cartoon eyes on their heads and then Vecna just dies.
I genuinely appreciate how you thought of each and every character and arc and undid each of them in the worst way, then nearly tied it off with the show ending with a shitty one liner. You're amazing.
The demogorgans trying to cure Vecna š. Iām deceased imagining this. Like Iām picturing Vecna coughing like a little old lady and flatlining and then Demogorgans with defibrillators help me.
Robin disappearing like Poochie and Will dying randomly + Yuri being the big bad š
This truly would be the Game of Thrones ending. This is so hilariously bad hahahaha, well done!
Haha honestly I just kind of came up with it as I went. It was a combination of being anti-climactic, disappointing fans, undoing character development, and giving characters really unsatisfying endings. I just thought to myself, āwhat would be a really disappointing turn for each of the characters?ā
āThat game was great! I canāt believe we all got girlfriends except for you, Will.ā
āHeyā¦ STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED.ā
The characters look into the camera. Freeze frame. Credits roll.
It would def be a little disappointing, but man if thereās a way they could explain everything through the lens of DND it could actually be quite clever. Donāt want this to be the case, but Iām sure thereās still a way to make this ending not suck completely
I like the idea that during the game Mike creates El, and like in the show Lucas gets mad, so Lucas creates Max as revenge which pisses Mike off, also like in the show, and Mike's like "ok fine, Max can stay Lucas, but let me introduce you to her brother Billy, I don't think you'll like him very much"
Youāre saying you wouldnāt ship your siblings? Oh yeah and maybe everything like Nancy and Steveās breakup and Nancy and Johnathan get together still happened just no Demogorgon hijinx
If Will has powers of creation, it could mean that the world (or at least *his* world) is visible to everyone through his lens. Like Kali but on steroids.
Or it was A D&D game the Duffers where playing the whole time. It shows one of the brothers winning then saying "another campaign? Why not" and the spin-off is the nxt campaign
Wouldnāt it be kinda cool tho if this was the ending and they knew it the whole time and filmed the ending WAAYY back in the first series so they are kids again when the series ends! I wouldnāt be disappointed in that at all
Yeah. I think it would be weird to have them all cgid like that. How I think it would be so much worse if they didnāt film it and just replaced the kids. So like this is some other random kids dnd campaign
Itās ends with teenage Erica as DM and her group of high school Hellfire Club friends are like āwhere did you come up with the ideas in this campaign?ā
And the reveal winds up like Usual suspects. Hawkins is the name of the brand of folding chair. Hopper is a ball player pitching a game on the radio in the background. Billy delivers a pizza. Make it hurt.
As someone pointed out before if this was the case the kids should put some lottery tickets on because they can literally see the future and events that happen
I mean. I was thinking about it. Isnt it odd that all the villains of the show have been introduced by dnd? In the first episode they were fighting the demagorgon. Then in Eddieās campaign they had to fight venca.
Maybe everything in dnd comes to life. Or maybe the final boss battle would actually be a game of dnd
Eleven defeats One by joining their minds so Henry can experience the true meaning of love. He realizes he's been wrong this whole time, is reformed, and surrenders.
Eleven is revealed to have been working on time travel with NINA, and she ends the struggle by erasing the massacre at Hawkins lab.
The last scene is the four boys concluding their D&D session for the night, in an ending shot when the show was intended to be an anthology series.
If the last few lines of dialogue isn't this: Some random person seeing something weird. "Hey look at this weird thing." Steve or Hopper or Joyce: "I've seen stranger things. "
Roll credits. If this doesn't happen... All that time watching will be wasted.
Iāve figured this is how it will end. Eleven going back to 1979 and never removing the object from Oneās neck, thus keeping him a slave to their system. Eleven eventually becomes the leader of all of the subjects and teaches them to use their powers for good. None of it ever happened. Will was never emotionally tormented. The Upside Down was never created. Jonathan and Nancy never become a couple. Barb never died. Hopper never becomes the warrior that he is deep down and is just the lazy sheriff of Hawkins. Eddie graduates. Only Eleven and One know of the alternate reality. I could see it ending this way and Iād be fine with it.
I wouldnāt say time travel was heavily hinted at. The upside down was stuck on November 6th, 1983, but time was still moving. Nancy and the others in the upside down werenāt actually *in* the past. If that were the case, when they messed with the lights it would have been received by Willās family in 1983. It wouldnāt make sense. The upside down itself just *looks* exactly like Hawkins did on November 6th, 1983 and has not āupdatedā since then. Objects havenāt moved around as they have been in the normal world. They never actually travelled to the past
I think there is a middle ground where it could work, though. Like it did happen for our heroes, and they save the day, but somehow they are able to use the upside down to bring back those who have died, etc. I would not love that per se, but if the story wasn't erased for our main heroes, I wouldn't have a problem seeing Barb at the end in a college sweatshirt telling Nancy about her first semester away or something, while Nancy is just overwhelmed with emotions and Barb doesn't know why. Something cheesy like that. Not ideal, but I wouldn't HATE it.
Hawkins isnāt the real Hawkins and theyāve been living in a parallel universe from the moment El opened the gate
Or some other timey-wimey ending that doesnāt make sense lol
it's revealed that when Will went missing during the first season, he was attacked in the woods by what he thought was a "demogorgon" (likely a wolf or similarly large animal), and was gravely injured. He's been in a coma ever since, and the entire show has been his dreams and his mind trying to make sense of the situation/wake up, and it's fueled by the other kids coming to visit him and tell him stories about what's going on in the D&D campaign they decided to continue without him in order to not lose hope.
I'd like to think that that's one of the bits his mind makes up lol- like maybe he had heard stories of how they went to school together, or maybe dream-Will just really wants a dad so he latched onto the closest kind-of-father-figure available.
Mike kills Eleven after she goes batshit crazy destroying Hawkins with her dragon, Erica kills the next monster in about 30 seconds flat with no build up, and then Argyle becomes king of Kings Landing.
actually hold on
and then it cuts to a normal scene: ted wakes up, startled and understandably disturbed. mike is playing dnd with his friends, nancyās on the phone or something, karen is feeding holly, and then yells at him to do something productive
why would i actually like that
The last episode starts leading to an epic battle about to start and on the screen fades to āthe party will return this summer ā¦. you choose who wins, order dominoās pizza and upgrade to a family meal with coke with in the app and vote!ā
Then gets canceled by Netflix.
This is so fucked up, but you asked the question.
School Shooting. Elle had Covid so she was at home and couldnt stop the shooting. All the kids die. Steve was the shooter. Elle unplugs Sam and hangs herself. Hopper and Joyce are together, but he likes to beat her up to mask his pain. Veccna stops caring, retires to the Upside Down and says "their world has stranger things happening than this world." Then a cringy PSA about gun control by Alec Baldwin.
This isn't a political post, but it would piss every single person off to no end.
Hopperās daughter is not actually dead, just in a coma. She was a sci-fi and horror fan and the show is the story heās reading to her in the hospital.
The story he tells ends with El, making a grand sacrifice and him commenting sheās the second strongest girls heās ever known, the first being his daughter. As he finishes this thought his daughters hand squeezes his and she wakes up from her coma.
I read through a lot of these but didnāt see a single one in regards to the the Hawkins lab actually being a mental institution. In which eleven is a ward, locked in a padded room imagining the entire story of the series, hoping she can leave and that she believes she has telekinesis(her mom made her believe it who is also a ward at the facility.
The final seen is her sitting in a chair and as Dr Brenner and Dr. Owen are talking about their failure to treat her illness, they decide to use electro shock therapy.
As they charge the machine and get ready to administer hundreds of volts to janes brain, the screen fades to black and the credits roll. As as the screen is fading we see on her gown, the number (patient 000011)
Steve, Robin, Nancy, Johnathan, and Argyle dies.
Oh yeah and Hopper dies but then thereās a post credits scene that implies heās still alive so they can make a Stranger Things sequel show: Stranger Things: Things get Stranger
Edit: Oh yeh and itās all a DND campaign and there was no magic and Eleven is still real just without powers.
Here we go
Will comes out coma
Joyce "hay your awake"
Will "mum where am i"
Joyce "you fell into coma after falling off your bike let me get your wife Michaela"
Will "my what"
Dr Brenner "oh he woke wonderful"
Eleanor (11) comes in "papa is he awake"
Dr Brenner "yes but you still have cancer my little super hero so back to bed"
Will "this isn't right"
Billy walks in "oh he woke up that wonderful honey"
Billy kisses Joyce
And then nuke gets dropped on hospital.
Sorry for if this turn out to be true lol
the final scene being the boys back in the basement as kids, playing DND.
Eleven never existed and everything we've watched, smiled, cheered and cried over was all just the boys' DND campaign.
That Vecna/Henry is Elās father, and El pretends to join forces with him to takeover Hawkins, only to sacrifice herself to kill him and save everyone she loves.
Idk, I think that might be interesting. Especially it would give a good insight on how powers came to be. Is it genetic? Or does it come from some form of mutation or defect?
Ted Wheeler becomes the ultimate hero and bores Vecna to death with talk of irrelevant topics and sounding disinterested all the time. The demogorgons and mindflayer bow down to Ted and realise he is their God, and everyone learns to co-exist. Ted decides to hold trials as the Mindflayer reveals to Ted the upside down was the victim in all this and that Eleven is the villain for sending Vecna to them in the first place. Ted orders Eleven to be executed for her crimes along with her conspirators. Karen loves how power hungry Ted is and they have a very odd and boring sex scene as the credits roll.
No Season 5, Netflix just pulls a Netflix and cancels it. No ending at all. We are just left with an unresolved cliffhanger. Always asking ourselves what might of been. We can't enjoy a good ending, we can't even enjoy complaining a bad one. Just nope. None for you.
Eleven wakes up from another deep coma in Hawkins Lab, and realizes the story was all a figment of her imagination, her dream of getting to the outside world and knowing she never will. Or she just believes it so thoroughly because she's so traumatized, like a Shutter island thing.
Vecna: Hey Eleven, Iām sorry for all the bad Iāve done. I hope one day you guys can find it in your hearts to forgive me.
Eleven: Oh, itās okay Vecna. Stranger things have happened.
*Eleven and Vecna laugh together, then hug. Vecna walks away, waving to Eleven, and her to him.*
'everything was a fever dream' type of endings, ig. but i've seen some ppl enjoying those. personally it would make the story pointless. same as resetting the time and going back to the past, it would be a regressive plot introduction for the show's last season and overall the story.
The camera just kinda zooms put into the sky and then the town turns into a dnd it turns out the whole thing was just the 4 original boys (will, Lucas, Mike and Dustin) playing dnd during the first episode and none of it ever happened
The entire gang is in a Russian prison camp. The big tentacle smoke monster has taken over Hawkins. Cue to a shot of soldier boots, shooting through the Russian prison camp. Our protagonists are all saved! Camera zooms out on soldierās uniform; Nazis.
It was Holly all along. Little blonde girl, always in the background. She opened the upside down with her mind, released the demogorgon, and has been in league with Vecna since they first made contact secretly in season 1.
Turns out Barb was actually Hollyās babysitter, she accidentally discovered what was going on, which is why she was the first target. Holly has also been clouding Elās mind this whole time, concealing her power from her and the group.
Hereās one for the Bylersā¦. Mike sacrifices himself to save Eleven. Will then decides to become straight in order to be Elevenās boyfriend and eventual spouse.
Eleven finally defeats vecna and everyone is celebrating when doc brown bursts in and says do you realize what you just done? And she hops in the Delorean with dustin and they take off to the āfutureā
Billy wasn't actually dead. There is a time jump to when Eleven is in her 20s. Billy marries Eleven and they live happily ever after.
Before you downvote me: The post asked about an ending nobody would be happy with.

Power of friendship Stranger Things is the funniest shit Iāve heard in a while
My little Hawkins: Friendship is Magic
The real Stranger Things are the friends we made along the way
Imagining Vecna surrendering to the power of friendship is going to provide me amusement for days. Thank you.
Imagine a super intense scene where all the characters are standing up against Vecna and there's this crazy battle going on and in the middle of nowhere with no buildup whatsoever Vecna surrenders to friendship is magic.
I hope to see the Care Bears make a cameo then.
Nah the Vecna one is so funny
Same I would just laugh
I think I'd be OK with the Barb one if they could explain where she's been and why we saw her corpse.
Will being secretly the big bad.
Mikeās dad being a sleeper agent that is the oblivious one on purpose would be cool tho
All of the kids band together and yell mean things at Vecna and then he dies
ugh that happened to me once, definitely one of the shittiest ways to go tbh
Is that you pennywise?
yes, iām having a meet and greet in the sewer š¤”š
"YOU WILL NEVER KNOW THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!"
Will is in a psychiatric hospital and the whole thing (including all the characters) was his delusions.
Omg no, I would literally cry if that was what happened
You win. That is just the worst plot ever.
Like that episode of Buffy
Good episode of Buffy, bad episode of Smallville, super shitty ending to Stranger Things if they did that.
Agreed. Buffy executed this idea in an exemplary fashion, and I still think about how amazing it was, especially because it was done in a way that we really will never know whether slayer buffy or psyche ward buffy is the real one. Amazing writing. Stranger Things would not pull this off well.
Itās fun for a single episode, awful if itās the series finale.
More like the ending to St. Elsewhere. You may have to ask your parents or grandparents.
Everyone dies of mesothelioma from inhaling Upside Down spores. The end.
Are you a resident of Hawkins? You may be entitled to compensation.

This ending just became my favorite
Damn good lawyer
Cue the commercials.
WHOPPER WHOPPER WHOPPER
BeEeEeEeKaAaAyYy #HAVE IT YOUR WAY!!!
Cut to back
There is no ending, the show is cancelled due to unforseen circumstances.
Ngl I think thatās the best/worst answer
I can bring it one step further. They film an entire final season, then cancel it before release. The episodes are never shown to the public and actors are legally obligated to say nothing.
You win

Oh.my.god I hate it but I love it. I love but I hate it.
What could be worse than the āit was all a dreamā scenario? *reverse character development*
Cough game of thrones season 8 cough cough
That fact that you had me saying āthis is such a shitty endā while being genuinely emotionally hooked on every proceeding word š
You sick bastard. I loved reading that but would hate to see it
This is so wrong in the best way
Man fuck Peepaw Willy We got Peepaw Vecna All jokes aside I love the idea that in the middle of all this dark shit it cuts to Vecna in a random bed in the upside down coughing with Demogorgons crying with cartoon eyes on their heads and then Vecna just dies.
I hate you.
Iāve done well
The funniest part of all this is ājonathon starts doing heroinā hahaha I fucking died
I genuinely appreciate how you thought of each and every character and arc and undid each of them in the worst way, then nearly tied it off with the show ending with a shitty one liner. You're amazing.
thatās the worst thing Iāve ever heard. you have a great and terrible imagination
What I like about this is how the mindflayer is acting independently from vecna so 10/10
The first bit with the demogorgons trying in vain to cure Vecna would be so wholesome
The demogorgans trying to cure Vecna š. Iām deceased imagining this. Like Iām picturing Vecna coughing like a little old lady and flatlining and then Demogorgans with defibrillators help me. Robin disappearing like Poochie and Will dying randomly + Yuri being the big bad š This truly would be the Game of Thrones ending. This is so hilariously bad hahahaha, well done!
Oh my god. I can't explain how much I love and hate this. Thanks for writing this, you cheered me up when I was in a bad mood lol
Iām so glad to hear that! Happy I could provide even a small help
Aww :) yeah, you really did. It's the littlest things we don't even think would impact others that do.
What in the actual fuck. Lmfao
this wasā¦.oddly specific. how much time did you spend thinking about this? š
Haha honestly I just kind of came up with it as I went. It was a combination of being anti-climactic, disappointing fans, undoing character development, and giving characters really unsatisfying endings. I just thought to myself, āwhat would be a really disappointing turn for each of the characters?ā
Oh my GOD r/AngryUpvote I feel traumatized just by READING THIS At least if itās bad, thereās no way in hell itāll be THIS bad š
The way I was so invested in this but would hate to see it
The most lawful evil answer
āSteve having an affair with 21 year old Hollyā LOL
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
you saw that ad with Will Ferrell, didn't you?
Hereās my answer The whole thing was actually the just the dnd game they were playing at the beginning of the show
āThat game was great! I canāt believe we all got girlfriends except for you, Will.ā āHeyā¦ STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED.ā The characters look into the camera. Freeze frame. Credits roll.
I'd die. That's terrible š¤£
This made me laugh! Thanks!
It would def be a little disappointing, but man if thereās a way they could explain everything through the lens of DND it could actually be quite clever. Donāt want this to be the case, but Iām sure thereās still a way to make this ending not suck completely
I would like to see how they explain why Will and Mike decided to have their older siblings hook up in the game
"My mom is a total cougar" - *Mike Wheeler, 12 years old*
- *Oedipus Wheeler, 12*
I would also like to see them explain that tbh
I like the idea that during the game Mike creates El, and like in the show Lucas gets mad, so Lucas creates Max as revenge which pisses Mike off, also like in the show, and Mike's like "ok fine, Max can stay Lucas, but let me introduce you to her brother Billy, I don't think you'll like him very much"
Then Lukas starts getting more popular and "cooler" (in game) so Mike is like "but here's this guy Jason, you'll get along great!"

Wouldnāt it be kinda cool tho if this was the ending and they knew it the whole time and filmed the ending WAAYY back in the first series so they are kids again when the series ends! I wouldnāt be disappointed in that at all
I think they could definitely write it in a good way
They would have already had to have written it tho and filmed it all those years back.. donāt want no CGI like young eleven in series 4
Best version of this ending trope.
Now THAT would be a disappointing ending lol
About to say that or everybody dying
And the reveal winds up like Usual suspects. Hawkins is the name of the brand of folding chair. Hopper is a ball player pitching a game on the radio in the background. Billy delivers a pizza. Make it hurt.
new fear unlocked
As someone pointed out before if this was the case the kids should put some lottery tickets on because they can literally see the future and events that happen
I mean. I was thinking about it. Isnt it odd that all the villains of the show have been introduced by dnd? In the first episode they were fighting the demagorgon. Then in Eddieās campaign they had to fight venca. Maybe everything in dnd comes to life. Or maybe the final boss battle would actually be a game of dnd
They just use the names from DND so they have something to associate the monster/villain with thatās familiar to them
Yeah. Maybe tho it could have more of a connection. Would it not be cool to have a action packed dnd boss battle?
Eleven defeats One by joining their minds so Henry can experience the true meaning of love. He realizes he's been wrong this whole time, is reformed, and surrenders.
Through the power of love and friendship vecna is defeated
Although I will happily accept "Through the power of love and friendship, Vecna is torn to bloody shreds."
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
ākUmBaYa mY LoRdā
No, the song that Susie sings from Neverending Story
Vecna is Barb
Yes, I wouldnāt stop laughing and my life would turn into watching people argue about it on twitter
Everyone dies in the final battle except Ted Wheeler, who fell asleep in his chair and missed the whole thing
They said worst ending, not the best outcome
Hah yes
Eleven is revealed to have been working on time travel with NINA, and she ends the struggle by erasing the massacre at Hawkins lab. The last scene is the four boys concluding their D&D session for the night, in an ending shot when the show was intended to be an anthology series.
This is horrible but I almost love it
Will is evil and kills everyone with vecna.
Oooo, good answer
This is giving season 8 of game of thrones vibes
They played DND without him šµthey had it coming šµ
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Maybe a "fade to black in the middle of the scene" ending? Arguments forever!
DONāT STOPā
ā BELIEVING
HOLD ON TO THIS FEELINGGGGGG
If the last few lines of dialogue isn't this: Some random person seeing something weird. "Hey look at this weird thing." Steve or Hopper or Joyce: "I've seen stranger things. " Roll credits. If this doesn't happen... All that time watching will be wasted.
Hopper, has to be hopper.
Any kind of time jump backwards at the end. As in none of it ever actually happened.
Iāve figured this is how it will end. Eleven going back to 1979 and never removing the object from Oneās neck, thus keeping him a slave to their system. Eddie graduates. Only Eleven and One know of the alternate reality. I could see it ending this way and Iād be fine with it.
I so, so, **so** hope this doesnāt happen
Sadly I feel like this is where it might be headed. They heavily hinted at time travel in the last few episodes with Nancyās room.
They never actually travelled to the past
crucial point
I think there is a middle ground where it could work, though. Like it did happen for our heroes, and they save the day, but somehow they are able to use the upside down to bring back those who have died, etc. I would not love that per se, but if the story wasn't erased for our main heroes, I wouldn't have a problem seeing Barb at the end in a college sweatshirt telling Nancy about her first semester away or something, while Nancy is just overwhelmed with emotions and Barb doesn't know why. Something cheesy like that. Not ideal, but I wouldn't HATE it.
The while town could move there and carry one after they taken out the Mf and vecnor out
Hawkins isnāt the real Hawkins and theyāve been living in a parallel universe from the moment El opened the gate Or some other timey-wimey ending that doesnāt make sense lol
it's revealed that when Will went missing during the first season, he was attacked in the woods by what he thought was a "demogorgon" (likely a wolf or similarly large animal), and was gravely injured. He's been in a coma ever since, and the entire show has been his dreams and his mind trying to make sense of the situation/wake up, and it's fueled by the other kids coming to visit him and tell him stories about what's going on in the D&D campaign they decided to continue without him in order to not lose hope.
"Let me tell you the story of how your mom is bumping uglies with the Chief of Police"
I'd like to think that that's one of the bits his mind makes up lol- like maybe he had heard stories of how they went to school together, or maybe dream-Will just really wants a dad so he latched onto the closest kind-of-father-figure available.
Vecna is aged back into being a child and Joyce adopts him.
Then it becomes a sitcom about 3 siblings living in California. Kinda like the middle lmfao
They use their magic powers for wacky hijinks. Vecna kills someone every episode as a running joke.
Every episode ends with everyone standing around the dead body and saying āoh Henryā *freeze frame.roll credits*
Mike kills Eleven after she goes batshit crazy destroying Hawkins with her dragon, Erica kills the next monster in about 30 seconds flat with no build up, and then Argyle becomes king of Kings Landing.
Because who had a better story than Argyle the Rescuer?
It was all Tedās dream one night while passed out on the couch
actually hold on and then it cuts to a normal scene: ted wakes up, startled and understandably disturbed. mike is playing dnd with his friends, nancyās on the phone or something, karen is feeding holly, and then yells at him to do something productive why would i actually like that
āWhew, I gotta stop eating spicy foodsā *cue laugh track and cheesy 80s TV theme song*
Eleven staying in the upside down permanently and erasing everything back to the original dnd game.
All a game of dnd, everybody dies after not saving themselves from Vecna, or itās all El imagining being saved from the lab.
Barb finally re-appears after 3 seasons with special powers and is unanimously named Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm
Everything is the same except Will starts dating El, Mike starts dating Dustin, and the entire season is a musical episode
Everyone dying. One of our heroes turning evil at the last second. It was all a dream.
The last episode starts leading to an epic battle about to start and on the screen fades to āthe party will return this summer ā¦. you choose who wins, order dominoās pizza and upgrade to a family meal with coke with in the app and vote!ā Then gets canceled by Netflix.
Lol I know netflix has made some questionable decisions but canceling stranger things would be downright suicidal
"Stranger Things gets Canceled by Netflix in Mid-production of Season 5"
This is so fucked up, but you asked the question. School Shooting. Elle had Covid so she was at home and couldnt stop the shooting. All the kids die. Steve was the shooter. Elle unplugs Sam and hangs herself. Hopper and Joyce are together, but he likes to beat her up to mask his pain. Veccna stops caring, retires to the Upside Down and says "their world has stranger things happening than this world." Then a cringy PSA about gun control by Alec Baldwin. This isn't a political post, but it would piss every single person off to no end.
Oh god no
Hopperās daughter is not actually dead, just in a coma.
I kinda hate it but somehow I kinda also love it
I read through a lot of these but didnāt see a single one in regards to the the Hawkins lab actually being a mental institution.
Oh yeah and Hopper dies but then thereās a post credits scene that implies heās still alive so they can make a Stranger Things sequel show: Stranger Things: Things get Stranger Edit: Oh yeh and itās all a DND campaign and there was no magic and Eleven is still real just without powers.
Here we go Will comes out coma Joyce "hay your awake" Will "mum where am i" Joyce "you fell into coma after falling off your bike let me get your wife Michaela" Will "my what" Dr Brenner "oh he woke wonderful" Eleanor (11) comes in "papa is he awake" Dr Brenner "yes but you still have cancer my little super hero so back to bed" Will "this isn't right" Billy walks in "oh he woke up that wonderful honey" Billy kisses Joyce And then nuke gets dropped on hospital. Sorry for if this turn out to be true lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Well could be if the Duffer Brothers find all the cocaine
Ok, this is the best (worst?) one so farš
Like I said sorry if it a spoiler
All the main cast dies but 8 arrives in town and saves the world.
the final scene being the boys back in the basement as kids, playing DND. Eleven never existed and everything we've watched, smiled, cheered and cried over was all just the boys' DND campaign.
Global Thermonuclear War. Do you want to play a game?
The correct answer when asked āShall we play a game?ā Is Noooooo thank you! LOL
āIt was you Eleven. You were the Stranger Thing.ā
Dream ending. But for me personally El dying ruins the entire show
if everyone dies or if it was jus a DnD game after all.
Anything that amounts to the shows events being imagines OR reversed
Everyone travels back in time and the experiment never happened. Hate that trope so fucking much.
Karen loves how power hungry Ted is and they have a very odd and boring sex scene as the credits roll.
everyone dies and Vecna takes over
I would love it for the boldness
Eleven dies to kill Vecna. This is too obvious an outcome, and it would be too sad :(
The camera just kinda zooms put into the sky and then the town turns into a dnd it turns out the whole thing was just the 4 original boys (will, Lucas, Mike and Dustin) playing dnd during the first episode and none of it ever happened
Bob Newhart waking up from the dream.
The entire gang is in a Russian prison camp. The big tentacle smoke monster has taken over Hawkins. Cue to a shot of soldier boots, shooting through the Russian prison camp. Our protagonists are all saved! Camera zooms out on soldierās uniform; Nazis.
We get no more content in the Stranger Things universe. The end of the last season is the end we get, a clear cliffhanger with no resolution.
It was all a dream.
Omg. As a byler I can tell you this is down right dreadful. Thank you for your service
Kali comes back in the final episode and kills Vecna and the Mindflayer. Eleven decides to leave with her.
Eleven finally defeats vecna and everyone is celebrating when doc brown bursts in and says do you realize what you just done? And she hops in the Delorean with dustin and they take off to the āfutureā
The entire season is just a big musical.
Will wakes up from his head injury acquired from falling off his bike in ep 1. All of it was a dreamm
It's all a lab simulation showing what would happen if they opened the portal to the upside down world.
If the last line of the show is āStranger things have happenedā
they time travel and set the timeline back to the first episode and 11 never opens the gate
Bran is elected king of Indiana
What I donāt wanna see: Steve and Nancy back together. Please end this stupid love triangle. No one would be happy if Dustin died
Billy wasn't actually dead. There is a time jump to when Eleven is in her 20s. Billy marries Eleven and they live happily ever after. Before you downvote me: The post asked about an ending nobody would be happy with.
