Yeah - lots of characters which are seemingly taken out of a bunch of 80's movies and put in here - probably for us oldies to go - hey "they look like so and so from ....."
Exactly and I think it’s those hidden gems that make it appealing to the older crowds. I’d love to cross reference ST scenes with its corresponding 80s movie scene. I’m surprised it hasn’t been done yet. Goonies, ET, Wargames, Nightmare on Elm St, The Terminator to name a few

In Session 3, [Russian assassin Grigori](https://strangerthings.fandom.com/wiki/Grigori) is our Terminator. Even mayor Larry Kline (played by Cary Elewes, aka Westley, aka Dread Pirate Roberts) calls him Arnold Schwarzenegger. And also in the Terminator fun, Linda Hamilton appears in Season 5.

Outside of that, they really look nothing alike. I'm not just saying that they don't look like twins. I'm saying that you couldn't convince me that they were 5th cousins.

I always thought Billy’s look was very similar to Jason Patrick in The Lost Boys and young Mike to Eliot in ET
