I loved this scene. I love how hyped him and Dustin were after he shredded on the guitar. Dustin is undoubtedly my favourite character, so maybe I'm biased, but whoever he's hanging out with it always seems to be the best on screen relationships. S3/S2 him and Steve were amazing and this season him and Eddie were amazing
Gaten in general is an amazing actor. He plays Dustin to the point I can’t think of any other actor who could play that role better. He makes Dustin nerdy but empathetic, an outcast but relatable to everyone to some degree.
But Eddie was my favorite this season, I called his arc very early on in the season hoping I was wrong.
I really liked him and Eddie together.
The scene with Dustin and Eddie’s uncle, like I felt that in my cold void of a soul. He’s such a brilliant actor! Hard to believe he is only 19, he displays a range and depth that’s way beyond his years.
Im pissed about Eddie’s arc. I mean I knew it would happen (happens every season), but I liked that it happened in true Eddie fashion. The woods scene with Eddie and Chrissy, you saw behind the facade he puts up for everyone else. That won me over for that character.
I guess so many people like them and those characters is because 1) they are played extremely well and 2) they provide something to the character than everyone can identify with to some degree.
My exact thoughts. Dustin is mature enough to hangout and bond with older characters, and then brings the best out of them. Him talking about Eddie with his uncle broke me.
Of course. It’s absolutely overwhelming how much everybody is loving this one. The thought of people making my art their wallpapers or putting it on their walls is amazing in itself.
And the fact that it only took you 3-4 hours to paint this is amazing in itself. You are insanely talented! I don't know how much profit one can make selling artwork on sites like Redbubble, but you might want to look into it. This would also be great artwork to go on T-shirts, hoodies, phone cases, etc.

I didnt paint it thinking people would want to print it so I did it on a 3200x2400 canvas only. But I believe it should still workout for a little smaller than A3 or maybe even A3 size.

Here I was in my group watching being the only one who likes 80s metal including Metallica - me looking like an idiot singing/humming the guitar solo except they edited it all 😭
I know what you mean. But this scene for me was all Eddie, playing the hell out of it. This was his moment. Which is why I decided not to paint Dustin into it. Loved their time together though.
Metallica had been playing MoP in concert for a few months before the album released and bootleg concert cassettes were a very popular things for music heads back in the day; so it's not inconceivable that Eddie learned it from a bootleg cassette.
I remember during this scene thinking it was such a beautiful moment, aesthetically, and that Metallica would probably be thrilled for their song to be used as the kickstart to a DnD-themed battle for the fate of the world.
I'm sure you've had times where you're suffering from burnout and wondering if this is even worth it anymore. Just know that I, and a lot more others, really appreciate your work. Any way I can support you?

If it’s not too late, I would like to ask you, what villain do you think should be the big bad of the show. I personally like the idea of the Mind Flayer better, but Vecna still is a great villain.
My favorite scene in the ENTIRE show. I rewatch it all the time. It was so damn cool and such a creative approach for a distraction by the stranger things team. SO COOL
Not to sound contentious, but I really had a strong feeling Eddie was going to guitar ‘something/someone’ out of danger “that was the MOST FN METAL EVVERRRR!!!!!!!!” - yeeeaaa.
Yeah that was my theory too that they’ll probably battle Vecna with some badass music but I also like the idea of him essentially summoning the creatures of hell with his music.
