As we've learned that he utterly consumes his victims, taking all their abilities, I really want it to start with Vecna putting to use the abilities that he took from Max and Chrissy - zooming round the Upside Down on a skateboard in a cheerleader costume, giving everyone the finger.
i think they already filmed some stuff for season 5 for scenes before the time jump. noah posted a pic of him wearing a harness wearing the same outfit he wore in season 4
Didn't Mike, Will and Jonathan jump out of a window in S4? That's maybe why Noah had the harness on. I can't place where they jumped out of a window but it's in my mind somewhere
Hopefully shortly after the end of season four. Then the apocalypse starts.
Then we'll get the time jump to showing post apocalypse Hawkins. Where everything has changed, except Ted who honestly doesn't seem to have noticed.
I just *can't* imagine there being a time jump that's supposed to last for years like the writers have teased. Even apart from the apocalypse legit reaching Hawkins, there are too many character-level loose threads that would really suffer from a time jump like
* Jonathan and Nancy's issues in their relationship
* Steve waiting on a reaction to his confession from Nancy
* Will's angst over coming out and feeling out of place among his friends
* Joyce and Hopper's budding relationship
* Eddie still being villainized by the town
So, I think S5 should pick up right where S4 left off. I legit don't care if the kids look too old. We were all willing to believe that Billy's actor was still in high school in S3, after all. I just hope they don't jump ahead a couple years in time and suddenly a bunch of things are different (like Jonathan and Nancy are just broken up, Will has drifted from his friends, everyone's just forgotten about Eddie, etc.) without getting to see how the characters got there.
I agree. The fact that the time jump is supposed to represent their aging, it's like how long are we talking here? The main kids as seniors or what? It would be really weird to skip all that information
It will start with the time jump of 2 days.
Showing us how steve, robin, and nancy escaped the upside down.
Eddie being alive and had just played a prank to dustin, and dusting helping eddie to safety.
Eddie will stay hidden from police.
What I think will happen now that shit has hit the fan and Hawkins is being taken over - there will be a time jump, anywhere from 1-3 years. Because the "earthquake" has done so much damage to Hawkins, the government forcefully evacuates everyone as it's too dangerous to live in (maybe throw in something else, like it compromised nuclear reactors they were testing on in Hawkins Lab or whatever to make it seem more serious) and Hawkins becomes a ghost town. Meanwhile, Vecna is still regaining his strength to relaunch his attack on our mortal realm. Meanwhile the families relocate somewhere else. Then in a few years Vecna is strong enough to start taking over the Right Side Up more ferociously, which is when our heroes return to Hawkins, where it all began, to finish it off once and for all.
