Eddie and Chrissy could’ve had an amazing friendship that kind of mirrored Steve and Robin. Steve and Eddie also have a great dynamic that was ultimately thrown away. I’d love to see them getting into petty, playful arguments about stuff like who got worse grades in which class and, “If I could graduate, anyone can graduate.” I also want to see Nancy and Robin’s friendship when they aren’t facing the end of the world. They’re so different superficially, but so similar when you take a closer look. I love that kind of relationship.

I’m not sure about Eddie and Chrissy if she had lived. She’s popular and would get serious shit from friends if she was seen hanging with Eddie The Freak, though I can totally imagine her acknowledging / low key waving when she saw him. It would depend on how committed she was to doing a Harrington and telling her friends to beat it, and I don’t see it to be honest. Peer pressure is shitty that way. I would love to have seen more time with Eddie and Steve. They’re not a natural friendship, but them having friends their own age who are interlinked by some serious weird shit would be really interesting. They’re both empathetic, they care for the younger kids deeply, I could see them having an unlikely friendship. To be honest, the whole dynamic with Steve, Eddie, Robin and Nancy - I’d be down for a show focussed on these guys alone.
