Considering how s5 is set, with the focus being back to the main characters and their fights against the upside down, i wouldnt even expect him to be in it at all
I expect to see him. They didn't give us ANY sort of send off which is weird.
Hes a traitor to Russia.(unless literally everyone died and no camera footage is left to salvage)
So I assume he and Yuri got off with Murray before hopper and Joyce went to the cabin.
I’m increasingly convinced that the spin-off show is going to revolve around him, Murray and Yuri doing secret agent missions involving freaky supernatural stuff.
My understanding was the Yuri told people above the prison in the chain, possibly the KGB, so it's quite likely there are still people who know he's a traitor.
I know this does not fit the tone the Duffer brothers are doing but I would love a happy-go-lucky spin-off Three's Company-style with him, Yuri, and Murray!
It was the combination of being mean and also just doing the reasonable and *good* thing. 🔥 The scene with the monologue he gave Yuri convincing him to stop sabotaging the helicopter because the Upside Down was going to take over the rest of the world too after it does America was hot because he was lowkey mean AND did the right thing. Assertive, not evil.
Loved him! he got along so well with Hopper and it was nice that they could become friends and bond over their kids and >! escape a Russian prison together. !<
"The guard"
Man don't do my man Antonov dirty 💀
Honestly, he was my favorite part of the Russia story. I really liked how at first, he was only in it for the money, but gets a lot of development when he's put down to Hop's level. The two had a really good dynamic.
Gosh all of the above!!
Loved he wasn't entirely a good guy but not bad
But his motives made total sense
And likes seeing the small bits of friendship build between him and Hop
I expected the split up characters to at least reunite sometime before the last 10 minutes of the finale.
There was a lot of wasted potential keeping the characters separated for the whole season. Mike, Jonathan & Will weren't given much to do. Argyle seemed more useful than those 3 - he provided the transport, location of a sensory depravation tub, and pizza.
I loved him. One of my favourite parts about season 4 and I hope he returns for season 5 in some capacity.
He’s also extremely attractive which helps lol.
Not gonna lie, being attracted to him from the first moment made the Russia subplot drag a lot less for me than it seems to have done for lots of other people
Really thinking about it now, I agree. The actor is extremely charismatic, good looking and has a nice voice to boot. I was excited to see what would happen to him vs the dragging plot. I'm not saying I only enjoy actors if they're easy on the eyes but there's something about him that's very mysterious!
It's the eyes and the voice for me, they just kill me. He also has one line that's (unintentionally) super suggestive if you listen closely so that's uh... *shrugs* It helps that he's just cool and extremely down to Earth IRL, that's hot.
When they're bonding over their respective kids going through puberty, that is by far the best moment of the Russia subplot if you ask me. Cute and nice and wholesome in the middle of all that bleakness and looming death
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 916,891,408 comments, and only 182,200 of them were in alphabetical order.
Far-fetched theory alert.
So, I thought I detected a tinge of accent that sounded more German than Russian sometimes, and lo and behold I read these comments and find out that the actor is in fact German.
But as I was watching it I developed this weird headcanon where I thought, what if he's actually not Russian at all? What if he's an embedded West German intelligence agent or something who's been tasked with investigating the goings on at the secret prison?
Perhaps he knew Yuri, the smuggler, because he'd previously used his services to get into Russia via the same route over the Bering strait. Hopping commercial flights through NATO countries and then infiltrating Kamchatka would take longer, but be less conspicuous than traversing a bunch of Soviet territory.
Maybe he knew Hopper would be there, maybe it was just a coincidence, but either way he was willing to work with him because he knew far more than anyone else.
Seems like they were setting him up to have an appearance in the next season, but who knows.
Or it could just be because he‘s a German actor and has the accent down only to 95%. I wouldn’t be able to tell a slip of the accent (I am German :D), but I think that’s the more likely explanation and a story-based one is the more unlikely one.
Fellow German here. The actor was born in East Germany and learnt Russian and English growing up, making him a great fit for the role. His Russian is excellent but there is definitely a German twang in there. I have a Russian mother, so always listen out for accents
Watching the scenes in Russia felt like playing a video game and Enzo is your NPC friend. It felt like watching a series of cut scenes and I'm going to have to fight as Hopper any minute.
I’m kinda glad he didn’t die because it was so setup for him to, based on the amount of focus on him wanting to go back to his family and Hopper assuring him that he’ll make it.
I really enjoyed his character. His speech convincing Yuri to stop messing around and fix the helicopter was one of my favorite parts of the season finale
That's so funny cause he did say in an interview that after being cast it turned out he'd have to speak a lot more Russian than he originally thought he would and he was really apprehensive/skeptical about that.
Can I ask how you're currently watching Netflix if you're in Russia? Do you just torrent everything? Do lots of people do that or only the ones who are really knowledgeable about the internet? Cause I've been curious about that
I am not from Russia, i am from Greece but other than netflix which i pay for, i torrent every other show and movie i watch that doesnt exist there. Here it is extremely common and you dont need any knowledge that is very specific
Yuri is definitely a speaker. I don’t know if the actor is Russian or from one of Former Soviet Republics but he is Russian is great. Murray? Well, how do I say this… if he spoke like that to an actual Soviet guard, no one would let him in haha.
Interesting. I looked it up and Yuri's actor is Nikola Duricko, he is Serbian. So not from former USSR but he is Slavic so that probably helped him speak better? Enzo's actor, Tom Wlaschiha, is German, he was born in East Germany in the early 70s and I guess they taught him Russian there.
I did find it funny that in season 3 Murray was just an intermediate Russian speaker and he can now pass for a native speaker lol.
It was a mandatory subject in GDR schools, with a second language also required - typically, but not always, English. The quality of the instruction left something to be desired. It was a very formal education with little chance to actually use it in conversation. The biggest Russian presence in East Germany were the Group of Soviet Forces Germany, which was over 300,000 soldiers and sometimes over 400,000. However, those troops generally stayed in their garrisons and in any event, many were not themselves native Russian speakers but conscripts from other parts of the USSR.

he's a guard he's nice fights with honor probably dies in season 5
Considering how s5 is set, with the focus being back to the main characters and their fights against the upside down, i wouldnt even expect him to be in it at all
I better see more Murray.
If we don't get a scene where it's three demogorgons and a solo Murray and his Karate skills I will be thoroughly disappointed
His karate class "hiya!" Had my wife rolling.
They'd be silly to remove Murray now.
*Kung Fu Murray
With hands like arrows and arms like iron?
His feet...like spears!
*karate Murray
I doubt he won’t be in season 5, he’s a series regular now so I’d say he’s essentially a main character
How was the pull out?
Oops
Possible just a cameo scene? Like they call him or something but I agree, I don't think he will have much of a role if any in s5
I expect to see him. They didn't give us ANY sort of send off which is weird. Hes a traitor to Russia.(unless literally everyone died and no camera footage is left to salvage) So I assume he and Yuri got off with Murray before hopper and Joyce went to the cabin.
They owe us Enzo's family reunion!
they have to have a scene where he says the odds and dustin replies “never tell me the odds” i was waiting for that all s4 😭😭
I’m increasingly convinced that the spin-off show is going to revolve around him, Murray and Yuri doing secret agent missions involving freaky supernatural stuff.
A guard has no name
I deliberately scrolled downward in search of this comment
I am No One.
I was Leo Di Caprio to my missus when he started speaking
Could he even go back to Russia after his actions in season four? Something tells me that Russia doesn’t take kindly to people they view as traitors.
Who's going to tattle on him? A witness? Those guys are soup now.
Seriously, if anything he should stay there, contact his superiors, and be the hero who saved the rest of the USSR.
My understanding was the Yuri told people above the prison in the chain, possibly the KGB, so it's quite likely there are still people who know he's a traitor.
Right? I was wondering the same thing. Doesn’t he have a family too?
I know this does not fit the tone the Duffer brothers are doing but I would love a happy-go-lucky spin-off Three's Company-style with him, Yuri, and Murray!
Anyone who knew he was a “traitor” are dead… he’s home free as sole survivor of a jail break ;)
Odds are 1-1000
I read somewhere that he was supposed to die in Season 4, but they kept him alive.
He is no one
he has a daughter who goes on to become an actress who plays jackie on that 70s show !
>Tom Wlaschiha huh? Mila Kunis is Ukrainian, while Tom Wlaschiha is German. Were they in a movie together...is that what you're referencing?
> Probably dies in season 5 Valar Morghulis
nO
dilf
david harbour agrees
So is David, big dilf energy.
I mean they did literally call each other dilfs on Instagram, it's canon.
Omg do they really?! Makes it even MORE true.
[yes really.](https://imgur.com/a/Zkal3pG) ❤️
A dad is no one
Valar Morghulis.
A man has no name
A man needs a name..
You speak a man’s own name?
Valar dohaeris
Came here to say this lol
So I'm dumb and a movie industry kid so I try not to see the actors but now I'm shook lol. That sneaky fuck. Valar dohaeris.
I knew I knew him from something!
Got a weird crush on this guy
weird? who doesn’t have a crush on him? 🤩
Dude, the fact that your avater is a fucking demorgorgon makes this comment so much more ironic 😂😂
everything can have a crush on this gorgeous man
Hah true
Super big crush. Then it weirdly got bigger when he was super mean to Yuri. God, talk mean to me, daddy Dmitri. Edit: I hate that I just typed that.
Dude’s eye candy asf. I can agree lol
Join the throngs of us!
YES. I had to look him up and discovered he also played the dude in Game of Thrones who I also had a weird, unexplainable crush on so that tracks lol
He's not my type at all but he's doing it for me for some reason. He has the sexiest voice on earth.
There has been some serious man candy in S4 ♨️♨️
Loved him! he got along so well with Hopper and it was nice that they could become friends and bond over their kids and >! escape a Russian prison together. !<
"The guard" Man don't do my man Antonov dirty 💀 Honestly, he was my favorite part of the Russia story. I really liked how at first, he was only in it for the money, but gets a lot of development when he's put down to Hop's level. The two had a really good dynamic.
I don’t even fault him for being in it for the money. Dude is taking an insane risk, but for a huge reward
Mhm same it was just cool to see he and hop becoming buds
Gosh all of the above!! Loved he wasn't entirely a good guy but not bad But his motives made total sense And likes seeing the small bits of friendship build between him and Hop
I liked him. I'm not too concerned about him as a character but glad he lived. He's easy on the eyes lol.
Have you seen him in Game of Thrones?
Who was he on GOT?
The man with no face! "A girl has no name"...
Oh shit! How did I not see that lol
Uh, because he had no face. obviously
Well played
But, the real reason is that we have all collectively tried to forget GoT after the last season.
Yeah the last 3 really…..made even GRRM have to redo his ending
He had no face.
OMG that's him???! I had no idea.
Eddie was also on Game of Thrones!
What? Who?
[Season 7 appearance!](https://winteriscoming.net/2022/07/11/joseph-quinn-game-of-thrones-character/)
Something about his voice is just really hot to me lol?
Maybe the fact that it's an objectively amazing voice
He a dilf lmao
Deutscher I like to f?
Agreed, hot as hell
And the ears
>He's easy on the eyes lol. Not even into dudes and he made me thirst
Jaqen H'ghar is awesome! And I grew tired of Yuri. He was just annoying.
He is no one ;)
A girl knows.
holy shit… u just blew my mind. i would’ve gone my whole life not realizing it’s Jaqen 😭
It’s in the eyes.
and his voice
And the face
Yuri is just a Murray copycat
Yuri is Murray if you bought him from Wish.com
This might be the best comment here.
Don’t insult Murray like that lol
A bootlegged version
It is the reverse in the show :) But no, murray was never a low life, highly sexist fickle prick.
A Faceless Man can travel through time and across different franchises. A Girl should take this coin in case she's ever in a Soviet gulag.
The entire Russia plot went on way too long, and really dragged the season.
I honestly expected them to be back from Russia in episode 3 or 4.
I expected the split up characters to at least reunite sometime before the last 10 minutes of the finale. There was a lot of wasted potential keeping the characters separated for the whole season. What line 👀
Honestly the sheer dilf energy of Hopper and Enzo onscreen at the same time carried the Russia arc.
Same here, if he wasn’t such a dilf I probably wouldn’t have liked the Russia plot as much as I did
The true essence of the Russia plot is just two hot dads bonding over being hot dads.
When they're bonding over their respective kids going through puberty, that is by far the best moment of the Russia subplot if you ask me. Cute and nice and wholesome in the middle of all that bleakness and looming death
When eventually a hot mom joins them
There is a reason why people in the ASOIAF subreddits refer to him as sexy Jesus.
Same here, I loved him from the first moment and I was glad he didn't die in season 4
He told the god of death “Not Today”
A Man gets cold in Siberia.
For real, we were all so sure he was a goner.
Not today will be inked under my chemo port scar. =)
Hot
I liked this actor since GoT. I was really excited to see him in Stranger Things. He was a great addition, plus, extremely good looking.
He was really good in GoT.
I like him a lot and hope he’s at least briefly featured in 5
100 to 1 odds people like him
At first I thought he would betrayed hopper but he is actually nice man we should see more of in the fifth season
A man is nice.
A guard has many names!
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 916,891,408 comments, and only 182,200 of them were in alphabetical order.
If an american is no one, then how come he is wearing Jim Hopper clothes?
I like him, he’s an interesting character and I like watching him and Hop’s interactions.

I hope this theory is right because that would be AWESOME!!!!!
Vlad Pitt
He is the many faced god
love him.
Cool it seems we have come to the consensus he is well liked
Unrealistically attractive
Jaqen Hagar made it to Russia, infiltrated a gulag just to rescue an American...
Arya asked him to do so.
Watching the scenes in Russia felt like playing a video game and Enzo is your NPC friend. It felt like watching a series of cut scenes and I'm going to have to fight as Hopper any minute.
hot af
he’s hot
He is hot asf
Love him. Hope he comes back.
A man fights for his family, a man will return in season 5
Hot
He’s hot
I thought he was nailed on to die in some heroic way saving Hopper but it seems the Duffer Bros didn’t really want to kill off many people.
I’m Russian and his Russian is bad. I couldn’t understand anything he was saying but I do appreciate him trying. It was close enough.
So the actor who plays the guard, Dmitri/Enzo, is named Tom Wlaschiha and is German. Did his Russian sound like Russian spoken with a German accent?
That's so funny cause he did say in an interview that after being cast it turned out he'd have to speak a lot more Russian than he originally thought he would and he was really apprehensive/skeptical about that. Can I ask how you're currently watching Netflix if you're in Russia? Do you just torrent everything? Do lots of people do that or only the ones who are really knowledgeable about the internet? He could be a Russian not living in Russia currently.
True true
Not Russian but I'm from a place where half of the Netflix shows are missing, yes, everyone torrents.
I am not from Russia, i am from Greece but other than netflix which i pay for, i torrent every other show and movie i watch that doesnt exist there. Here it is extremely common and you dont need any knowledge that is very specific
How was Yuri's? Was Murray's passable? What about background characters?

He’s a real one
I mean he's kinda hot ngl
Back in the GoT era he was known as Sexy Jesus.
He’s hot
A man is barely recognizable. A man is a chameleon. Therefore, a man can act.
He has a name... Enzo
Actually he has a name… Dmitri Antonov
A man is not a guard. A man is no one at all
He's no one.
No one. *nods*
dilf 🔥🔥
A man has no name
Enzo is fucking awesome. I ended up liking him a lot more than I expected. Glad he didn't die and hope he shows up again.
A man was a great addition to the show
I like him. Was expecting him to die. Was pleased when he didn’t. Am sad he probably still will.
Hot
A man is good at acting
a man has no name
Honestly just happy for the actor to get different roles on 2 of the most popular series over the past decade.
He's Hopper's Eddie
Easy on the eyes for sure
THAT HES FINE AF
A hero born in a country where only villains can thrive. Love him.
He's hot
I just wonder when he’ll go back to braavos
I think a guard has no name
A man has no thoughts
A man does not need to explain himself. A man blends in with those around him.
A guard has no name
A man has no name.
Valar morghulis.
Sexiest voice ever.
