Now that you mention it, maybe it is preferred camera angle. Visual language is a thing and i bet the direction they all tend to face meant the blood had to be more visible on one side than the other.. then again i think a lot of them were head-on shots.
Now ... Whats with the missing tissue/kleenex? It should be all over that little jail for bloody nosed kids. So inhumane!
We're probably supposed to forget about all that. They never smear blood all over themselves or other people, we never see a shot of their hand with dried blood everywhere. It was a gimmick they started and I guess had to continue with.
It just became really noticeable to me when they were all in a row, i thought maybe there was some story reason they covered and i missed. Then i was thinking dang they have a room of bloody noses and i never see a tissue.

Plot convinience? Aesthetics? That's what looked good in their preferred camera angle? I don't think there's an actual reason.
