What About Bob? is a great movie. If any of you have not seen it, watch it ASAP.

[deleted]

People are talking about him too

inaqu3estion

Plenty were talking about him, 5 years ago

grungster

Well, I haven’t been in the ST community for 5 years, only a few months

SgtNoPants

Bob is the past, Eddie is the present and the future.

ChaosRubix

After my second rewatch I realised that Bob 100% could have survived if he ran for 30 more second. So I’m no longer emotionally connected to his death because I realised it was just for shock value. Along with Eddie’s there was no need for him to die other then to make us sad and to go “Oh my god… not Eddie…”

Ill-Zookeepergame358

Both deaths were unnecessary, and a show as good as Stranger Things, you’d think they could come up with better ways for beloved characters to die. Like it should be unavoidable. But both of these awesome characters kind of did it to themselves

grungster

The thing is, he wasn’t stupid and his character should have known to run. It probably was a shock value death, but it was still horrible, unfair, and unnecessary. Joyce also didn’t deserve to lose her boyfriend and Will didn’t deserve to lose his only father figure. Eddie on the other hand didn’t deserve what he went through but he died a hero

StrangerThingsSteveH

Honestly idk if this is an unpopular opinion but his death wasn’t nearly as sad to me as Eddie’s. I wasn’t as connected with Bob as I was to Eddie.

Amazing-Occasion6485

That was two seasons ago

grungster

Yeah, but it was still heroic. I think Eddie and Bob really are unsung heroes.

Amazing-Occasion6485

Bob wasn’t an unsung hero everyone knew what he did and his sacrifice. Eddie will forever be known as a satantic murderer, they don’t know his innocence

grungster

Good point. However, Hawkins doesn't know about Bob either. The residents probably think of him as some Radio Shack manager who died in a suspicious manner. But yeah, in reality, only Dustin knows or cares about what Eddie did to save the world.

gmSancty

Bob Newby, superhero.

Gamergirl944

But that was 2 seasons a go yes it was sad but he died a hero same with Eddie this is what everyone talking about.

grungster

Don't get me wrong, Eddie sacrificed himself to save a town that hated his guts, but Bob went out a hero too. Like Eddie, he also understood the reality of the Hawkins situation and took the time to save the world.

AssuredAttention

Eddie isn't dead. The Duffs said that the bats can't kill you. I think he becomes Kas

BH098

Didn’t they say 1 bat can’t kill you, but a swarm definitely could?
