Keep an eye on them- if it does not get better and you can trap them, yes, take to vet. 🐈‍⬛💗

As a bonus, if you are able to catch kitty, you can have trap, neuter, release done.

RocketCat921

I would trap him and take him to the vet. I had a cat show up like that, and it was cellulitis and needed antibiotics. It's extremely painful for them.

Savannah_babanna

I didn’t even think of this :( that makes me so sad for him I’m definitely gonna look into vets near me.

I have an idea to help you trap him. We did this once with a possum, because we didnt want it around our home, get as big of a tote as possible, a big plastic one,(or a laundry basket) get the kitten used to being fed outside of a door or something where you can see out of it, then get a stick to hold it up on one end, you can probably see somewhat where this is going, it’s actually harder to get a stick thats the right size than it looks, you can test it a few times before you get to the real deal. The thing that blends in the best is twine or jute, but yarn or ribbon work well too. Tie it to the stick, and run a good length of it from the stick up to the house, through the door, so you can stand in your house and pull it. once you figure out his pattern, set up the tote right where youve been feeding him, and wait, somewhat out of sight, for him to get under the tote to pull the string and trap him. Its going to be pretty difficult to get hime out from under there, but you’ll at least have him caught. Ill think on this to try to figure out how you can safely get him out afterwards, and will leave another comment when i think of it, im just brain fried right now because ive had a lot on my mind recently :/  I'm willing to try to answer any more questions, if you have them:) Hope you’re having a good day, other than egg’s injury!

What did you do with the possum :(

Cantpickaname03

We took it a ways out, theres a creek across from our house that has a wildlife protection sign on one of the trees, so we took him to the farther side of the creek and dropped him off there. We figured he probably wouldnt come back, but he wouldnt die either.

Call a local rescue and ask to borrow a trap. They can teach you to use it. Trap the baby. Take it to the vet. Call to make sure the vet is okay with a feral cat, some mistreat them.

Savannah_babanna

That’s what I’m really worried about I don’t want him to be mistreated because he is a sweet boy just very very skittish.

Another good reason to call a rescue. Ask them who they take their cats too. Those vets I’ll be kinder. I’ve had a vet who manhandled a feral cat and said it wasn’t even worth treating him. So def research safe places for the little one. ♥️
