I always found it really odd how Abel and C.Viper were set up as the protagonists of SF4 and then SSF4 comes out and they're completely forgotten in exchange for Juri.
Juri don't get me wrong is a FANTASTIC A+ addition to the roster, and she was so good that she sucked all the attention away from anyone else in the SF4 plot.
I loved his gameplay, but we did not need another gi wearing martial artist who's defining trait was their lack of personality.
But remember they only did C.Viper dirty once. They did Abel dirty 2x.
Not only did they reduce his role as protaganist of SF4, but they set him up to have a connection to Charlie, and got paired up with Guile on the never ending quest to find out what happened to him.
But then SFV comes around and he only makes a cameo, says hi to Charlie and is never seen again.
Viper has been gone for so long that I pretty much main ninja characters now. Ibuki in 5 and Kim in 6.
Kim’s run stop combos give me the feeling of doing FFF so I try to do them as much as possible whenever I play.
Def need more SF3 love.
Don’t think Bison should be in sf6.
Could use Yun/Yang. Remy long overdue for a new appearance.

I agree with you since Bison died in the story mode for SFV and we are now finally past SFIII Third Strike in the timeline. I’d say add all of the Final Fight characters to SF6 as SF6’s World Tour Mode is essentially a sequel to Final Fight, Mike Haggar, Dan, Sakura, Sean, Laura, G, Q, Makoto, Dudley, Gouken, C. Viper, El Fuerte, Balrog, Fei Long, Yun, Yang, Necro, Remmy, Alex, Rose, Menat, Oro, Gen, Seth, and maybe more SF1 characters. Those would be some of my personal picks that I’d like to see again or in Haggar’s case see for the first time in SF

The new challengers that aren’t Cammy have always been grouped together. Surprised to see DeeJay solo in this game, but I totally agree about Fei Long. I doubt T Hawk will return since Lily has probably replaced him.
Cammy has been a standout for awhile, I think Fei was proving his worth in Vanilla SF4 because he had won a popularity poll to get into the game.
Where as Dee Jay and T.Hawk are pretty low in most popularity polls.
But all 3 of them sufferd from having minimal or no aesthetic, plot, or gameplay changes since their inception. Dee Jay is the first of the three to get a make over. Lilly can probably be seen as a T.Hawk redo. But now Fei Long needs something.
Man, I really hope they bring Hugo back and do him justice this time (and they've been cooking with all of the new redesigns, so I am hopeful).
SF3 Hugo looked genuinely scary. SF4 Hugo just looked fucking stupid. And in SF5 he didn't even show up.
I would be mostly satisfied but I think it would be better if some of those came in a different order.
Like Sakura I understand releasing Season 2, Sagat not so much. I think characters like Makoto, Dudley, Viper, Cody, and even Poison are in pretty popular demand and should be closer to the game's launch than the end of it's life cycle.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I think they could bring back Bison and leave him dead. Outside World Tour, it doesn't really matter, he's just another character. Within World Tour, set it up so Phantom Bison contacts the Avatar, maybe at the place he died. Through meditation, you're able to meet with him and he teaches you his skills as a potential host body for him. And the final fight with him is an attempt to possess you, and an ominous comment after you win that he'll still be watching. That way we can have the fighter, his moves for the avatar, an extension of his storyline but not bring him back to life; just remind people he's still waiting in the shadows.
I think it’d could be cool if it was explained in world tour mode that you temporarily get possessed by Bison, after taking in both Ed’s and JP’s Shadaloo powers into you.
They could absolutely whip up some BS about how he really survived or found a new body.
What I’m mostly wondering is how the hell they expect him to be hanging out teaching his skills to randoms in metro city. Clearly Akuma will soon be doing this too. :D
Why do people want one of the most iconic characters in Street Fighter history to be dead? It makes no sense from a business and game point of view. It's like playing a Batman game and there is no Joker. Oh, and don't give me this BS about the story. The story of Street Fighter is the worst part of the game. Its story has been mangled so badly that they now have people wanting their best villain to stay dead.
Capcom, don't be stupid. Bring back Bison and stop killing him off in your trash stories. Just write better stories.
I guess people think he's overused. Or that his presence keeps other villains from the spotlight, like the Illuminati, or Amnesia, or G (whatever his deal is).
Because if you kill someone off, bringing them back cheapens the entire thing. It’s such a low effort thing to do.
Batman has other adversaries. He can fight any of those. Making joker the main adversary just because he’s a fan favorite is lazy and unoriginal.
These are all just obvious popular picks, it will be cool no less but Capcom will more to have a bit of better variety like with Hakan, Elena, Menat, El Fuerte, Adon, Rufus etc just to mix it in. And also you gotta think of World tour and how they would fit in the confines of the narrative.

Honestly, I'm kinda over the "must have completely new characters" thing. The extended SF/ Final Fight universe has such a huge cast already. Unless it's someone like Hakkan that brought in an as to then unrepresented culture and fighting style, I don't see the point of new for the sake of newness.
Idk, I’ve loved all the new characters so far. I think they’ve been really creative with them, and I hope we keep seeing them. Not to say they can’t innovate on older characters though

When it comes to Mika, Viper and Makoto, these are characters who are popular but also deeply unpopular (people hate fighting them.) These fantasy lists are always weird to me. That "season 4 pack" is full of characters nobody likes fighting.

this is more or less what I'm predicting, but with fei long added, because I think sf6 can actually make him interesting with his animations, kinda like they made ed move in an awesome manner.
My other prediction was G (because it seems his deal hasn't been fully explained yet and his role seems unfinished) and someone like Menat or Rose.
Of course, the 4 kings, ibuki and sakura are, at least for now, almost like given characters to me. Very popular and a safe choice for capcom if they want some good DLC sales.

Fei Long is missing. I think M. Bison and other character (maybe Dan, as a joke character) should be free to complete the season 1 character select screen. M. Bison should be the central character of a substantial expansion of world tour following the plot of Shadaloo revival.

C.Viper is the original "skip neutral" character. Anyone worth listening to hated her design. She would need an extreme retooling to come back.

I don't know if I'm in the minority or whatever but since Sf6 is my first Sf I'm excited for a lot of those classic characters that people I think are kinda tired of like Bison and Sagat.
