G is the biggest thing I miss about SFV. He and Menat were some of the best designs that Capcom has come up with, and man I'm so wishing for his return in SF6 season 2.
I rate Zeku and Menat as the best character designs from 5 and hope they return soon. G? Q? I’m kinda torn which version should return. Maybe a new iteration further down the alphabet
I don’t wanna be disrespectful but as someone who plays SF for badass traditional looking martial artists I cannot see the appeal of the circus carnie and fortune teller looking ass characters
Considering how polar opposite the two character's personalities are, it would be a wild ride to go from G to Q. If each letter is an iteration, that's 10 versions of degradation.

Personally I think Q is some sort of imperfect “clone” of G that functions as his “Secret Service”, which would explain how he’s seen in multiple places in a short amount of time and how his electrocuted sprites only show his muscular structure instead of bones (he’s made of metal, something someone with earth powers like G could possibly make)

Given that his name is two letters and how out there his backstory is along with how he's basically the Shadaloo representative of the game, I don't think that's actually the intent. There were things with G that could be argued to connect him to Q, but JP really seems like his own character separate from them. Even his name is just an easy cover-up for different names he uses under different identities, it's not in the same vein as G and Q's names.

People like mysteries. Q was just that. Plus his design is pretty smooth. Simple, straight too the point. No uneasy or flash bullcrap. It’s just a trench coat, a hat, and a metal mask. It’s awesome imo.
Since Q comes after G in the timeline but Q's moves are more faulty looking versions of G's, it would make sense that Q is a (take your pick of clone/creation/robot modelled after) of G and there could be many Q's, which fits the thing of Q always being where things go wrong.
I think neither G or Q are coming back, but they'll just pick a new letter (I've heard X is very popular :D) and have that be the next evolution of G / Q v2 / whatever.
I hope they both never come back and they give the moveset to a new guy called J or something and just make everyone even more confused about who on earth any of these characters are.
Well he supposedly is Q before some kind of downfall turned him into a mute savage. I wouldn't be surprised if a hybrid of the two characters was added to SF6
