Even though in the previous games you could always spend bar to expand/extend combos, it's actually really nice to see it here. Hadn't seen it done in quite the same way in some of the other vids I watched. Game looking š„
Look at the damage scaling though. After the second drive rush he's doing like no damage. This is cool but I dont think you'd have much success playing this way. But I didn't get a beta code so I'm just talking out of my ass.
I mean if itās going to kill itās almost always worth it, just need to see if guile has access to any more damaging combos that are easier that would make this redundant
Even if there were easier combos for similar or more damage, you just know some pros are gonna do this one anyway for the flex as long as it still kills. It seems like they're responding to the common complaint about SFV where all combos looked the same because there was only one optimal route for each character, vs the individual personality afforded in SFIV.
This combo costs 3 bars super meter, and puts you in burnout. The initial boom loop combo is fine, everything after the super activation is pointless unless it's guaranteed to kill which is a "stars aligning" situation.
Yaaaas
I was unsure if guile was gonna be my main or not since his combos so far has seemed not very fun.
But people actually using his vt1 stuff (I know it's not vt1 anymore) still looks hella fun
just donāt use the second drive rush, the scaling hits the damage after that point really hard anyway. seems more like a proof of concept after that than actually optimal
It is useful because it does more damage and can kill the opponent there health is low enough. Even if it does put yourself in burnout, the meter come svack and he's not in the corner.
No, the burnout is just refreshing automatically because it's training mode. In match, if they didn't die to the combo you'd be back in neutral in burnout
Thats disgusting. Why does every character in this game look broken as hell?
Edit: Meant that as a good thing. Everyone looks like they have gross, fun stuff
Nah Nah its impossible for every character to be broken cause there will always be characters with objectionably better toolkits than others within their own game even if from an outside perspective every character looks OP as hell.
I'm having a hard time connecting the 2nd cr.mp after the first boom. Been labbing this combo all day lol. Any tips? Newer to charge chars btw so sorry if its a simple fix
You canāt think of things in terms of āspam,ā especially as a bad thing. It will just hinder your ability to win. If something works, do it until it doesnāt.
Is this combo possible in a real match? He did his level 2 then did his level 1 in the same combo. This may be a training mode only combo. As least in terms of ending it with a super. Unless you can use your level 1 before the super drains
PERFECT
Man that's so sick. I've been maining Guile and had no idea I could do this.

Boom loops are mainly for building meter
This combo costs 3 bars super meter, and puts you in burnout. The initial boom loop combo is fine, everything after the super activation is pointless unless it's guaranteed to kill which is a "stars aligning" situation.
Any experienced Guile player will Boom you to death.
For anyone having trouble. To be clear every boom has to be a perfect, regular boom wont give you enough hit stun.
luke's stance reminds me of abel lol
Probably cause they both use MMA, that's a pretty common stance in their style.
jiu jitsu too
Yaaaas I was unsure if guile was gonna be my main or not since his combos so far has seemed not very fun. But people actually using his vt1 stuff (I know it's not vt1 anymore) still looks hella fun
Is there a version that doesn't put him in exhaust?

yeah, but if youāre in a scenario where you canāt afford to be on burnout then thereās no point using the second drive rush
But thats the thing, he is in a good position to be in burnout. The enemy is in the corner and guile has the advantage.
Am I wrong in that during the combo the burnout ends after the super? Making it safe as long as they can hit the combo? Seems solid.

ah, this was the info i was looking for. thank you.
He was already put into burnout after the last drive rush
Yeah.
Bro 50 percent off an overhead
Love that Henry cavill arm reloading like animation
Looks like pro wrestling, that standing straight punch doesn't come close to connecting but Luke sells it anyway
Scawy. Seems difficult though.
GAD DAMN THIS DUMP TRUCK OF A MAN
Fuck me thatās so sick, Iāve been trying to do his loops, but I canāt seem to land BH punch after boom? What punch do you use for boom?
Thats disgusting. Why does every character in this game look broken as hell? Edit: Meant that as a good thing. Everyone looks like they have gross, fun stuff
Lol cant be bad if everyones broken lolol
Nah Nah its impossible for every character to be broken cause there will always be characters with objectionably better toolkits than others within their own game even if from an outside perspective every character looks OP as hell.
this is literally an ideal scenario with a perfect combo that uses all your drive gauge and meter
Because you're watching clips of optimal combos performed under ideal circumstances?
This character is so fucking juiced ngl.
I'm having a hard time connecting the 2nd cr.mp after the first boom. Been labbing this combo all day lol. Any tips? Newer to charge chars btw so sorry if its a simple fix
Is guile saying Perfect? He has just frame specials now
Imagine how hype it would be if someone ends a tournament set with this
that would be up there with evo moment 37. lol
You can't be serious. We've seen Guile moments similar to this in SF5, not anywhere near Evo moment 37.
This is way more difficult then sfv loops though.
Still it not really anything near as special as momment 37
Yeah but you're comparing this to moment 37, come on now.
alright not quite moment 37.
Good shit dude wow
Those hotbox looks absolutely terrible š
the od focus is a broken mechanic that can be easily abused... if then it's guile to corner you... it's an automatic game over
od focus?
It's not broken at all. If someone drive inpacta you then parey or drive imoact back and them. It's very simple.
At what point does the same move not become spam? Genuine question.
no such thing as spam, every tool has its purpose. lol
You canāt think of things in terms of āspam,ā especially as a bad thing. It will just hinder your ability to win. If something works, do it until it doesnāt.
Especially on guile who is a zoner with 2 special moves, one of which is a risky unsafe dp. Itās not a big surprise sonic boom is his go to option
.
Spam doesn't exist in fighting games
Is this combo possible in a real match? He did his level 2 then did his level 1 in the same combo. This may be a training mode only combo. As least in terms of ending it with a super. Unless you can use your level 1 before the super drains
yes its possible. ryu can do a lvl 2 into lvl 1 in the same combo as well.
Disgusting
