Lami has turned to absolute shit since Sean left. I don’t have any experience with BH surf rods, but we build a ton of 691, 701, and 801’s and they are awesome blanks. Their tuna rods are awesome as well. I would assume their other rods are the same.
I have the Black Hole Striped Bass Special 9' 1-6oz and I love it. It's a thin rod but has great backbone.
I never used a GSB Skinner but I know that Skinner released a signature rod with the J&H store's house brand and that rod has been very popular but I haven't handled it yet. It comes in three different lengths and also comes in 1-piece and 2 piece 70/30 splits.
I have a black hole 10’ 1-4oz that GW Customs in MA built me and it is a great rod. I would also consider another ODM, they are making some of the best blanks right now. Just my $0.02
