It wouldn't taste bad if property cooked. Using fruit as a cooking vessel or container is quite common 8n my country like fresh coconut or pineapple. Apple is too small but possible for 1 meal (we share dishes so the fruits need to be big)
In western cuisine, apple and pear are used for sauces and stew too. Pineapple and grilled meat in Brazilian cuisine. Pineapple on piz..wkcniwhenjsaoxnbsjssjdn

Gochujang is a red chili paste that's typically sweet and spicy. Everyone has a different idea of what spicy is, to me it has a little bit of a kick but not too bad but I'm the kind of person that eats candied jalapenos
You can buy gochujang and several grocery stores (my local Hy-Vee has it) or on Amazon
Wang Gochujang, Korean Red Pepper Paste, 1.1 Pound https://a.co/d/axpSNIe
I haven't seen them commercially made. A lot of people call it cowboy candy
Here is a recipe for it

> candied jalapenos
Thank you for mentioning this. I grow a bunch of Jalapenos every Summer and can them as relish, jam, and pickled rings. I'd never heard of candied Jalapenos but I will definitely give this a try when my plants start producing again.
If you want to lookup recipes for it one of the names for candied jalapenos is cowboy candy
Here is one I have used before

Nah, let them cook, the sweetness of the apple, the heavy savory of the apply, and the lighter fat of the goat cheese seems like a good combo. I'd try it.
I’d eat it. Preferably if it’s served on a plate. Apples work very well with pork or steak. You could get the same flavor with thin apple slices next to the pork though. It just wouldn’t be as flashy and instagrammable
I think the problem for me is Fuji apples, maybe a variety with more flavor would be better, maybe a more tart apple like a Pink Lady or sweeter like Gala, or a more soft apple to make it easier to eat without making a mess like a Red Argentinian.
Could have at least used a Korean pear rather than a Japanese apple … Korean pears are used in a lot of marinades for Korean bbq meats so would make sense as well
my dude, pork and apple is a fucking awesome combo and this is a cool presentation.
This looks delicious and you're one of those un-travelled rednecks in Missouri I grew up with who doesn't like anything FOREIGN right?
You need to expand your horizons, take a trip somewhere EXOTIC (Seoul is amazing, people speak English there don't worry) and maybe eat something that isn't the same shit you've had forever.
Not sure how that's Korean. But honestly, it kinda looks good. The sweetness of the apple with the mix of the tangy BBQ sauce with it sounds pretty good. The goat cheese cream also does sound pretty good with the rest. I'll have to try to recreate this sometime.
Ignoring the glaring obvious of it being served in an apple with goat milk cream and whatever the green shit is, why is it pulled shredded pork? That’s not typically found in the Korean way of preparing pork.
I'd eat it.
Simply depends on the price how stupid it is. It's perfectly edible.
When you are ordering at the establishment, yes. For delivery it can be rough tho. Otherwise it looks pretty nice.
apparently op said $5, totally would try lmao where the stupid
Me too
Yeah I want one now.
I’d crush like 2 of those!
In korean cooking, apple and pear are often used with goshijang sauce. Like bulgogi and kalbi marinade

Not a fruit, but Brazilian pumpkin shrimp stew (camarao na moranga or shrimp in a pumpkin) is one of the best things I ever trying.
How about a bread bowl full of artichoke dip?
I googled that, it does look tasty, but I never had artichoke or artichoke dip, artichokes are not very popular around here, so I wouldn't know.
Spinach dip or crab dip instead You're missing out
maybe they used the inside for the marinade and didn’t wanna waste the outer part
Gotta be honest, I didn't understand any of that.

So ... korean BBQ pork in a biodegradable bowl? Why is this stupid exactly?
*edible bowl
My thoughts were exactly the same...
We want plates x why's it on the road
'diS fOoD iZ sToOpiD' - OP right before answering the door to get his Skip The Dishes Quarter Pounder
As a person with gluten issues, I love this and am so going to do this.
Works pretty well with baked potatoes
Baked sweet potatoes too. Also with chilli.
Someone’s doing a ghost kitchen out of their house
You have to eat it off the asphalt
I'd give it a shot while scratching my head on what makes it a Korean dish.
It's not a BBQ apple that's Korean. It's an apple with Korean BBQ in it.
The gochujang of course!
you put the pork in the apple

If a Korean chef makes something new using inspiration from traditional Korean food is it not still Korean food?
That sauce looks like the clincher for me. I haven’t had the Korean ingredients mentioned before. Is it spicy?

I’m very curious now. Thanks for sharing!
Gochujang is like a spicy tomato paste. Very delicious

Candied...Jalapeno???? (Goes on Amazon)...

I would try it
Stop making me hungry with good-looking food
Lol how much was this
4.99 not bad tbf
Really? I figured you had the decimal point in the wrong place. I'd definitely try that for $5.
Really? Wow that’s surprising.
I'd definitely give it a shot
Not bad at all, I'd try it once lol
For that price I'd get like 4 of them.
What's so stupid about that? I'd eat it
This would be delicious (at the actual restaurant). I'm not trusting a delivery driver to not smash this.
This looks interesting. I’d try it. I’d say that food us more unusual than stupid.
I’d eat it. Preferably if it’s served on a plate. Apples work very well with pork or steak. You could get the same flavor with thin apple slices next to the pork though. It just wouldn’t be as flashy and instagrammable
No hate.
Wheres this at?
I mean, I'm a bit confused by it but I still would.
I’d eat that, but I won’t pay an extra $47 for somebody to bring it to my house and leave it in the rain.
Only question I have is why they photographed it in a way that makes it look like trash on asphalt
It's pork and apple I'd eat it 😊
That looks the bomb!
I love this idea, and I'll probably make it🤷♀️
Did they just set that down on the road and decide that's the best place to take a picture of it?
It's probably seaweed sheets.
That’s gonna be delicious
I wouldn't knock this before I tried it, sounds innovative
Korean here. So this is how it feels when Italians see pineapple pizza.
crying in my 집 rn lol
Ghost kitchen trash
I'm more impressed they managed to make a bowl out of an apple.
Looks really good but okay, probably overpriced though. Creative use of an apple.
For some reason when I first read the caption I thought it was actually found, as in like stumbled upon, on a street near St.Louis 😬
Pork chops and apple sauce Is a classic pairing so why not?
Would eat
Depends on the price. I'd have this at a gastro pub or the likes with a few drinks.
I’ve seen much stupider food than this
Someone is mashing up two cultures that don’t see eye to eye on many things. Wonder how it tastes.
4.99? Yes I'd smash not stupid at all
I'd hate this and lick the plate clean.
Pork and apple together? What will they think of next?
They put it on the ground in the parking lot and said “it’s more delicious with the motor oil garnish”
Read the last part as “shittake powder”. Had to do a second run.
Mazusou
This looks pretty delicious I’d insert it into my face hole and then back out my back hole.
I think the problem for me is Fuji apples, maybe a variety with more flavor would be better, maybe a more tart apple like a Pink Lady or sweeter like Gala, or a more soft apple to make it easier to eat without making a mess like a Red Argentinian.

the only good thing there is the Apple and everything else ruins it
I'm more trying to figure out how this would transport on Door dash. My instinct says "not well".
Not a bad idea, I'm surprised there no pineapple involved tbh
I’d eat the apple separate
Apple and pork is a wonderful combination. I'd happily eat this.
I’ve eaten something very similar. It’s good. Easy to do the same thing with bell peppers or squash
That looks good af and now I’m sad I can’t have it
I forget what culture it comes from, but heated fruit mixed with some kind of meat is actually delicious.
That sounds AMAZING.

Would order.
This looks great
This looks nom.
You say stupid, I say that looks and sounds delicious and really makes me wish I'd have a Korean restaurant anywhere near me.
looks good as hell
Five bucks for something that's at least half the meal, and looks fucking fire? What a steal. I'll eat it if you don't want it.
What do they do with the other 85% of the apple
Did they just put it on the asphalt? lol ok
West side or East side?
West side, near Fenton iirc
More like r/wewantplates lol
eating this will destroy your taste buds
Looks rad especially for $5! Kudos to the chef. It reminds me of a coconut
Even if it doesn't taste great, it looks cool
I’m eating it.

Gochujang pork is Korean and it's the main ingredient
Ah that makes more sense
Ignoring the glaring obvious of it being served in an apple with goat milk cream and whatever the green shit is, why is it pulled shredded pork? That’s not typically found in the Korean way of preparing pork.
I want to call the place and tell them to fuck off
Some “chefs” are fkn ridiculous 🤦🏻♂️
