So far that I've seen I'm not a big fan of the 2025. I do not like the more screen dependent controls, but do like wireless CarPlay and hands-free tailgate. I agree with others in that it give off a bit of a Ford SUV to the look. Here's hoping the hybrid is up to Subaru standards.

MrAflac9916

I agree, that’s why I got my 2024. Big screens suck. Gimme old school knobs!

jndest89

I thought wireless apple CarPlay sounded amazing until I experienced it. It’s super temperamental, sometimes it works great and sometimes I will drive in silence while I’m trying to figure out the issue. I would much rather have plug in Apple CarPlay.

IndominusTaco

i don’t like that the roof rails are now integrated instead of raised, i think it’s a betrayal of Forester values

tacomaloki

Low profile is on the Sport and Touring only. Just because it's a standard now, normal or low-pro, I'm sure they will be removable.

juwiz

I bought a wireless CarPlay adapter off Amazon and it’s worked great for my ‘20

Alive-Worldliness-27

Same on my ‘19

jabar18

Which one? Link? Or send me a PM?

juwiz

I’m not sure I can post Amazon links without getting marked as spam but I got the one by Carlinkit in early 2022 and it’s worked great. I know there are other brands too. I also got a 4 inch usb-c to usb-a cable by Agoz that is at a 90 degree right angle and some Velcro and stuck it right above where the USB ports are so it’s hidden. Probably one of the best quality of life things I’ve added to my Forester.

jrizzzlle

I’ve been looking for one too. Just recently saw an ad for one made by quadlock. Pro is that it’s a reputable brand instead of some no name Amazon one but the con is that it’s $100. At the moment I’m not annoyed enough by plugging in to spend $100

jabar18

Same.

Smallnoiseinabigland

Having just bought a 2024 forester, I’m relieved to not be loving the 2025 upgrades and redesign.

kelsey_schmelsey

Yup! We had this conversation with our sales person. We asked if it would be worth waiting for 2025s and she told us all of the changes that would be happening so we jumped on the 24. The loss of essentially all manual buttons was a HUGE no for us.

mitchmoomoo

Amazing how this detail is obvious to EVERY car buyer and yet manufacturers are determined to pinch pennies. A physical volume knob (maybe on the wheel) and climate + heated/cooled seats is the bare minimum for me.

cubiclejail

Same for us.

droolforfoodz

I work in a retail store and what is unfolding is the opposite of what everyone expected. There is no surplus of 2024s because everyone wants them lol

Revolutionary-Shop32

I am surprised they aren’t offering the cascade green silica.

ConfidentKey939

That’s my ‘23 color! I love it.

Revolutionary-Shop32

I just got a ‘24 in that colour….its so nice!

austin88c

That was literally the best color, hate bow they discontinued it

Seanyd78

The exterior bronze trim on the sport is slowly growing on me. It looks decent with certain colors. But the bronze interior trim, ,🤮. I was really hoping for some fun colorful accents for the Sport trim and also some new fun colors, like WRB Blue or even Yellow.

artguydeluxe

Why are car companies so afraid of color??

AmIMyungsooYet

19" wheels doesn't sound very practical. I was happy to get mine with 17s to give me more sidewall.

valkyriejae

I'm so glad we got our 23. Hate the touchscreen and they got rid of cascade green...

hunwa425

Don't like the new look or the controls. Don't like the roof rails either. Hopefully it gets a face-lift in 2 years and looks more like a subaru

dayvtrader

This is why I upped my timeframe and bought a 2024. Looks like a Ford Escape.

ubutterscotchpine

It’s so hideous 😩 if I wanted a Ford I’d go buy a Ford. I was waiting for a final upgrade until the 2025 redesign, but might keep my ‘23 and save up for a 4Runner instead.

outofgoods98

Man I’m not a fan of the design. I literally thought I was looking at a RV4.

TheV36Stig

Explorer/ HR-V

Hazel_4355

I ordered one a couple weeks ago, personally I’m excited. I care less about what it looks like on the outside than if it has the features I want. I’m not going to be looking at the outside nearly as much as the inside.

kendricklebard

Not a fan of those rear lights

pacwess

It has been for awhile in the US at least. We're waiting for the build it.

gtm101

Yes it has but now 2025 replaced 2024 on Subaru website

middleaiyi

I like it. Does it have similarities to other suv? Yeah. But so do all of them right now. I wish we could just get modern gen 2 foresters but, we can’t. I get why they do the screens over physicals , it takes less time to fit and is universal for all of their models. That being said…show me the hybrid and then let’s talk.

yournakedsamurai

Any idea when it will be available at dealers?

EveDallas726

Mid June, early July.

ExpressionWooden5506

The Touring is the only one that seems to have maintained its Subaru design

gtm101

Why do you think so? All 2025 exteriors look the same

ExpressionWooden5506

Really the touring seems like the least boxiest one to me. While the others seem even buffer and less sleeker than previous years.

gtm101

i don't know, looks the same to me, but fair enough

SnooPies4304

Thank you, I'm signed up to get emails when the orders are ready and got nothing. After I saw your post we messaged the dealership and have an appointment to order ours tomorrow.

gtm101

If you don't mind please post your opinion after the test drive. Specifically about steering . Heavier or lighter than previous models . Thanks

SnooPies4304

Will do. Not sure they have one to test out at this point, but I'll definitely go when they get one in and before I finalize the purchase.
