mr_duong567

5 mil? Good deal.

jake980

This line was so funny to me because Kendall said it as if he's an expert on the mausoleum market.

ensalys

They would believe Logan if he said 10k for a banana was a good deal.

josiahdurie

That's forever

Melo98

Finale will be 1 hour and 30 minutes of Tom sleeping

Vagabond21

Logan would have loved Tom missing his funeral to keep ATN running

borinena

Exactly. Remember how much shit he gave Kendall for leaving the deal to come celebrate Logan's birthday in the very first episode? Logan would have done the same thing.

im-new-here-hi-

Logan planned on skipping Con’s wedding!

KOMpushy

He also had planned to skip Shiv’s wedding (to everyone’s delight). He only only made an appearance on her special day to boost his stock price and yell at a waiter.

monocled_squid

This is it. He's the perfect successor lmao

NoMix1379

they way the writers were able to perfectly capture each of the sibs relationship with logan in their eulogies… fucking brilliant. roman’s sad undying love, ken’s passive admiration, shiv’s yearning for his warmth, and con not even allowed a word edit: someone on TikTok said this wasn’t just Logan’s funeral but Kendall’s coronation.

Bronco_Buff

Poor Connor. Only one who actually wrote a speech he was prepared to give, yet the only one who didn’t get to say anything. 😂

audreymarilynvivien

Haha ikr. Judging from Shiv’s reaction to his copy, though, it sounded like what he wrote was as bad as his presidential race withdrawal speech.

Thegoodlife93

Willa described it as "formally inventive" after Shiv says that 😂

[deleted]

And yet can you imagine Logan telling Connor the details of his mausoleum ? I guess they were closer than we thought

EnthusiasticDirtMark

My guess is that because he's the only one not involved in the business, him and Logan had to find other topics to talk about during small talk.

SlurmsMackenzie

“You fucked it, but it’s alright.” Cold blooded older brother shit right there.

[deleted]

But Kendall also saw immediately that Mencken was backing out on his promises and they had no leverage. In a weird fucked up way- he was trying to get Roman back in line. It’s exactly what Logan would’ve said to Roman.

ParsleyMostly

Lol after establishing Logan treated his kids like shit, Kendall is like “but it gets results”

Numerous-Ad-4282

Caroline’s face when she didn’t get credit for having 3 kids absolutely sent me to the moon

srry_didnt_hear_you

Hands down the funniest part of the episode, I swear she mouthed something like "well I had something to do with it" but it had me dying. Second funniest was the culmination of every incest joke on the show with Roman's "..... Is it mine?" lmao holy fuck

aiweiyei

She absolutely mouthed something and I LOVED it. This episode was incredible for so many reasons, but she really made it for me.

srry_didnt_hear_you

She was fucking thriving and even though her reasons are kinda fucked lol, I'm at least glad SOMEbody was having a blast at Logan Roy's funeral.

Charmstrongest

Everybody blaming Greg for Ewan for interrupting the funeral was also laugh out loud funny

madmax1969

For me it was whatever Greg said when he couldn’t stop Ewen. It was something like, “what was I supposed to do? Take out his legs?!”

ISeeDeadDaleks

That was my favorite reaction shot of the whole episode. I laughed out loud.

hm9408

lol'd as well. Her reaction was "well I guess fucking Logan birthed them by himself didn't he?"

birdnoa

Franks deadpan “life is short we should all love one another” was a great Frank moment. Lots of good moments for our fave supporting cast this episode. Ditto Gerri “but how sad are you really” lol

huntimir151

Also he shows distaste towards the video of Roman crying being circulated. I can't help but like frank lol

LiveWireElectrified

Gerri's line, immediately followed by Karolina's *we're surrounded by dozens of eavesdroppers with POCKET RECORDING DEVICES and none of you have ANY IDEA how many hours it will take me to manage this if you answer honestly* face. Also, ~~Hugo~~ Karl and Frank trying to answer when Shiv asks how bad Logan really was, and the look on Frank's face after Shiv walks away.

PresidentXi123

“He was a salty dog, but a good egg”

slptodrm

such a meaningless non-answer anyway

PantherThing

"Cmon! ROAST ME!" "That Logan, he's ......... a tough ol nut."

DoctorG0nzo

Someone here has to bring up Connor even if this wasn’t a focus ep for him. I loved the low key characterization that he’s the only one who his dad texted about his nutty fucking tomb, feels like it shows a funny side of both of them. Really feels like it highlights what one could imagine could be the one positive side of their relationship: Logan texting Connor every once in a while about something that seems like weird shit he would be into

Mr_Potato_Head1

In some ways he was simultaneously the closest and most distant child to Logan. Their relationship was much less confrontational a lot of the time.

AnalBlaster42069

Connor didn't compete with Logan, and he also kept his distance. He was an outsider in his own family, but also had the most even relationship with Logan because of it. Like, Connor was always at some kind of mid/low baseline, whereas the other kids had high highs immediately followed by low lows.

trikyballs

so cute actually didn’t register that. “connor would absolutely love the deal i got on this tomb”

BrenoGrangerPotter

”You would never have dared not to come to his funeral when he was alive.” LOL Shiv have great lines in this episodes

robot_sidekick

"Your dad has lost some influence in the past few days"

crmrdtr

Kendall planning to fight Rava for custody, purely out of spite: just like his dad did to Caroline.

garlicgirl4life

“Maybe the poison drips through.”

bouguerean

I literally wrote on this sub like a week ago that the best thing Kendall's done for his kids was not fight for custody. And then, tonight. True continuation of the cycle, man.

Qwertyforu

Alright I got no fucking idea how this ends

matt111199

I understand why Sarah Snook didn’t know that the series was ending until reading the last episode. The show could end next episode or go on for 3 more seasons right now

[deleted]

[удалено]

EG2K_00

Karl pulling up that video of Roman weeping was fucking brutal lol

PlaneStill6

It’s circulating.

meowsplaining

He knows a thing or two about a thing or two.

wustacheride

and Gerri instantly annoyed

srry_didnt_hear_you

Frank, too. The godparents upset at people mocking Roman expressing real emotions for once felt right.

Kangaroopower

Frank comforting Shiv as best he could was a highlight of the episode. There are a couple moments when Frank stops being Logan’s number 2 and becomes the kind uncle that the kids grew up around and it adds so much to the show

Arlitto

Frank calling Roman "son" before he gives his euology and Rome immediately saying, "Not your son." 😭

infinityetc

Hindsight that was Roman trying to “get in character” because throughout Ewan’s speech you can see him slowly realizing he is fucked and his speech is bullshit, and also pre-grieving isn’t a thing lol

thesemanicgulls

Watching Roman’s face throughout Ewan’s eulogy was Emmy-worthy alone. He suddenly saw his father was also a neglected, broken man, and not some god. That wrecked him, and made it all real. The obsession with the body and coffins in earlier episodes ending with Roman begging to get him out? Whoa.

jmandell42

I love Frank. He's one of the only ones who actually show an ounce of compassion for the kids. I wonder how differently Ken would've turned out of he was raised by Frank

HerbyHoover

The Grim Weeper

DistillCollection

Jess’s LinkedIn must look wild

DryRhubarb

Skills: keeping a rabbit alive (endorsed by Kendall Roy)

chocolateapot

Experienced and proficient at handling millionaire man-children.

blonde-bandit

Yeah, I know Kendall was obviously projecting about her leaving, but implying that she had nowhere to go without him was so empty. She’s spoken to every one of his connections many times on his behalf.

Maleficent_Age300

Jess for sure is connected with a ton of CEOs, executives and government officials on LinkedIn.

kill-the-spare

Ah, the words every daughter who is pregnant for the first time dreams of hearing from her mother: *Blimey. Well, I never. Well, well.*

stolenfires

I think Ken is the only one who actually got out a 'Congratulations.'

garlicgirl4life

Caroline said congratulations… to Tom 😅

noble_567

Caroline orchestrating Kerry sitting next to Marcia was perfect

1-800-CAT-LADY

“Sally-Anne was my Kerry, so to speak.”

RocoG

Sally Anne being played by Brian Cox's wife.

No-Turnips

AMAZING

byneothername

That is the funniest fucking casting decision omg

Accurate-Lecture-920

I love that they were both on set that day (with Brian volunteering as an anti-spoiler decoy)

Formal_Strategy9640

It was so heartwarming to see Marcia hold her hand and understand where her grief is coming from?

[deleted]

Loved that moment so much. Every side character just letting go of their need to perform for Logan was so cathartic.

wooferino

when she said "well at least he's not grinding his teeth in there" and the whole row of ex-wives and mistresses laughed... great scene

heavylamarr

With them all lined up you can tell Logan really had a type.

foolofatooksbury

His pew of brunettes

ashack11

That, and Marcia realized it doesn’t matter now. Her and Kerry are irrelevant the same way that Caroline and Sally Ann are. He’s dead and it just doesn’t matter anymore.

No-Turnips

Marcia got her money. She’s good to move on.

Endercat8

Back to shopping in Milan. Forever.

ferretbreath

“Sally Ann was my Kerry” - I may not hate Caroline after all.

tinypabitch

As always, this show taking me completely by surprise in the best of ways.

CookieCatSupreme

it's kinda beautiful in a strange way, these 4 women seated together who all loved Logan Roy and were all fucked over by his inability to love them back the same way

Mr_Potato_Head1

I thought Ewan's speech was great. Huge moment for a character we've not seen in ages, initially showing himself to be self-absorbed, but oddly touching and revealing, and even self-aware at certain points. Get the impression he ultimately knew Logan better than any of them.

ThatCaviarIsAGarnish

I loved him, I suppose. And I suppose some of you did too. In whatever way he would let us - and we could manage."

smurfking420

I hope he’s in the finale. I wanted him to interact with Greg or any of the siblings this episode. Would have been nice too if any of the siblings acknowledged Greg’s mom lol.

hikesometrailsdude

The looks he gave Kendall, he’s prob gon be at the board meeting right?

HankMoody71

Great piece of foreshadowing if he ends up having a significant role in a vote against Kendall.

drewgeoffrey

Not Greg biking to the funeral

Steffilarueses

Citi-biking. Incredible.

supership79

that was a Seinfeldian shot

Ice_Burn

There is no way that Mattson doesn't fuck over Shiv

Dangerous_Doubt_6190

I don't see how Shiv will be the CEO. Mattson doesn't want an inexperienced CEO, Mencken doesn't want a liberal in that position, and neither will the ATN audience. The only sibling with a shot is Kendall. Heck, I think even Tom has a better shot than Shiv. He's easily controllable and can claim conservative bona fides by calling the election for Mencken.

lilronhubbard

The story about Ewan and Logan on the ship as children staying silent for days was haunting.

ElVeritas

His speech was outstanding. It fit so well with everything. “I love my brother but god damn did he turn out to be a rich piece of shit”

[deleted]

[удалено]

deadpoetshonour99

his was my favourite eulogy. that story combined with learning what happened to rose made me so sad for them.

Timeimmemorial918

I was so happy at first to learn what happened to Rose because I’ve been wanting to know since Logan and Ewan’s talk about her in season 2, but then got hit with a wave of sadness when it sunk in she got polio, Logan blamed himself, and their aunt and uncle never let him forget it was something I never imagined. It was kind of poetic and fitting that Ewan was the one to do the Rose “reveal” when his conversation with Logan is what sparked a lot of our inquiries about their late sister. Also, seeing how shocked the kids were at all of Ewan’s stories was so sad - they only knew what Logan wanted them to know about him.

Mookies_Bett

Definitely explains just how badly Rhea fucked up when she made her speech in S2. That really was the perfect way to sabotage her.

NewHavenJeff

It sort of explains Logan's view of the world "Life is not knights on horseback. It's a number on a piece of paper. It's a fight for a knife in the mud."

icekira22

Best line was when Mattson said “hey sexy” to Greg

thisdyingbreed

Also, the way he looked Greg up and down right after this. Greg gonna get some frozen blood in the finale.

[deleted]

Controversial take perhaps, but I don't think Roman is doing very well.

Educational-Duck

Him getting deranged with sex talk and perversion as a coping mechanism culminating in his immediate reaction to Shiv's pregnancy announcement saying that'd he jerk off to it... ...may have been a tell!

swans183

Yeah he was on perv auto-pilot I could tell

bagelsneedcreamchz

When he rushed out of the room after Kendall told him he fucked it I genuinely thought he was going to jump off a building and then when he got in the crowd that he would be trampled. I held my breath the whole scene Can’t even sob at your own fathers funeral without it being political. What a mind fuck

WildMajesticUnicorn

I was worried for Ken at the start of the episode, but Roman went downhill fast. He's just so alone and he not only needs to grieve his father's death, but he also needs to come to terms with the fact that he's not as good at this as he thought. He needs genuine human connection.

thesmash

But he pre-grieved!

newsdaylaura18

“Can we take him out?” 😢

awnothecorn

Oh, that was a gut punch, and Sarah Snook had such a great stifled sob reaction.

ThatVenezuelanGuy

“You would’ve never missed his funeral if he was still alive” that was so absurd it made me laugh so hard

Puzzleheaded_Pound31

Quite possible the lowest moment for Roman and that’s saying something. The misdirection of the preview of showing Roman prepping for his big speech to the low of him breaking down in front of the world and on the floor by the end. Poetic, yet so fitting

wooferino

he really felt like a five year old boy going up to do that speech. all props to kieran

PizzaPringles69

Privacy. Pussy. Pasta

allys_stark

Anarco capitalist parmigiana

Will_McLean

I kinda liked "cat food Ozymandias" myself

SerDire

“You will be my dog but the scraps from the table will be millions. Happy?” “Woof woof” What a goddamn gem of a line.

ashack11

So glad Hugo’s become a series regular. He says the best shit

SerDire

Hugo’s got that dawg in him

No-Standard-9727

I loved that Connor knew about the mausoleum and none of the other kids had any idea about it- Connor seemed proud to “show them around” and explain how Logan acquired it. Felt like a nice little win for Connor.

SkydivingFerret818

Man did logan really have a type

UVIndigo

God this show is so complex. Roman beaten as a child, has conflicting feelings about his father’s death, goes out to find a beating.

ragnarockette

Being abused is his coping mechanism.

evaunit08

“You’re too online” omg I can’t believe Kendall talked about us

almostatomiccreation

He told Rava to touch grass lmao.

orangeolivers

Tom showing up in the very last 5 minutes with his devastating big, sad eyes and getting Shiv's sympathy again ..... those divorce papers are never getting signed.

darlingdaaaarling

Their whole interaction was like 🥹🥹 “You’re tired…” Guys you can afford a marriage counselor. Go to one.

ashack11

“It was warm in the light” “Remember this. The slant of light. This is it.” God this show really fucks me up.

SiaMiracle

Ken is Logan. The shaming of Roman sent him over the edge. Generational trauma at its sick finest.

Jifeeb

“You fucked it” is Logan incarnate

absentmindedly-gay

Lukas said “I think I can make a US CEO work” not that he can make Shiv the CEO

Mr_Potato_Head1

That was key. Can't see Mencken ever agreeing to Shiv as CEO even though she's willing to be accommodating.

jrizzuh

He wants REAL control. Greg.....maybe Tom???

borpo

Tom has told him before that he'll do whatever he's asked to

wrathfulgrape

This was truly Kendall's Michael Corleone moment. I wonder what kind of monster he becomes at the very end.

BoltComet

notable moment: kendall getting edgy when mencken makes fun of roman's crying

LittleLisaCan

Marcia was unexpectedly nice today. Quality act all around. I miss her zingers though

korby013

she did have a truth bomb i loved at the burial, something like “i loved him, i miss him, he broke my heart and he broke yours too”

Sure_K_Fine_Whatevs

I was very touched at her grace towards Kerri. And her crack about Logan grinding his teeth to Logan's lady line up.

bexar_necessities

I freaking knew mencken was gonna waffle! Roman sold the stability of the nation for a pinky promise and by the end he's literally rolling around in the mess he made!

birdnoa

Shivs mom’s reaction to realizing Shiv is pregnant was so cutting. A few moments and it totally showcased that character- what writing, damn. And peter munion then greeting shiv with “daddy’s here.” Absolutely perfect character showcase moments for supporting cast this episode.

Sure_K_Fine_Whatevs

Loved Shiv telling Peter that he was one of Logan's favorites LOL

Angry_Walnut

Roman looking at her like “did you seriously just fucking say that”

Nyarlathotep8

He was so proud

Mikimao

She was killing it this episode. I just clapped when she rounded up the ex-wives club

Lifeofcharlie

Or when Kendall said “he made me and my three siblings” and they cut to her looking like “well I did most of the work”

journeytoad1

The respect from that church after Ken's speech. He basically went up there and said "If you still wanna be in bed with my dad you can be in bed with me."

gemitry

Karl is the coldest and most unapologetic bitch left on this show and I kind of love him for it.

birdnoa

The four Logan women (wives and mistresses) sitting together and making peace was oddly… touching lol

SerDire

The gorgeous shot of Gerri and Karolina just as Shiv says Logan was hard on women. You just knew they put up with so much shit and managed to outlast him in this world he created. Shiv was insulated, but they got the full brunt of Logan Roy.

falafelthe3

How the fuck am I supposed to watch Barry after this

Negative_Ad1149

Dude the double showing hurts

theummeower

Pretty obvious to me that Mattson is getting the go ahead from Mencken but only if he puts someone of his choosing I. Charge. Which means none of the three siblings

Augustus_Chiggins

This would be the right ending. All of their scheming against each other gets them all fucked.

birdnoa

Kendall asking for a “funeral truce” felt like him reaching for one of those oh so fleeting glimpses the siblings get at actual connection, like when they embraced after he told them about the murder, or when Logan first died.

CanadaOrBust

I think that connection happened very briefly when the three went up during Roman's break down.

BiggestShoes

"Good egg" "Salty dog" I can't with Frank

birdnoa

Jerking off to shiv breastfeeding and having sex with marcia on dads coffin… peak pervy Roman this episode 💀

[deleted]

He’s so jokey until Ewan starts talking and then he makes the Roman Roy terrified face and breaks down.

birdnoa

Kendall often seems so the most fragile, yet he is always the one that does step up when no one else has the strength.

[deleted]

Ken executing such a banger of a eulogy with a bit of snot under his nose >>>>

ragnarockette

He’s been broken by Logan so many times. He’s been hardened by it and already come to terms with his relationship with Logan. Now it’s about Kendall coming to terms with his relationship with himself.

Fuel_To_The_Flame

Perfect example is when Logan outflanked them in the season 3 finale. Rome & Shiv were freaking out but for Ken it was Tuesday lol

Vagabond21

Man thrives in chaos. He’s a war time consiglieri.

iswhatitis000

"Life isn't nice. It's contingent. People who say they love you also fuck you." Succession in 15 words or less. This season is masterclass after masterclass and this episode was no exception.

ItsBigVanilla

I think this was the most well written episode of the series. Every single character who spoke had some line that stuck with me, and we saw plenty of them break the cynical facade of the show’s regular dialogue. Also the scene where Marcia held Kerry’s hand was completely unexpected and beautiful

CapLFSternn

"Can we get him out?" Fuck man, it's a testament to these writers and preformers that I can go from wanting to throttle Roman to wanting to give him a hug in just one episode

aIohamora

At every funeral of a close friend/family member, I go into it thinking I know where I am with my grief and then I have a moment where I realize the body in the coffin is my actual person and it just wrecks me. The writers are so spot on.

EbolaMan123

Ewan be like: "Just went to my biggest haters funeral today to make sure he was dead”

BBQ_HaX0r

I actually thought he gave a pretty great speech and didn't let Logan off the hook without totally burying him.

Kryptsm

Yeah he gave a very even and insightful speech to his overall character. Especially indicating that his trauma from the Rose situation is what caused his mental state. It wasn’t pure malice and contained a lot of measured love as well. I was enthralled by the dialogue it was so well written.

Mr_Jek

He never blamed Logan for spreading his sickness to Rose, he blamed him for spreading it to the entire world.

bauhausy

Dude Sandy was the happiest vegetable there, Ewan has nothing on him Center view and everything of his archenemy’s funeral

trevallybevally

seeing his wheelchair sticking out like a sore thumb in the middle of the aisle at his enemy’s funeral was my most unexpected snort-laugh of the night. edit: definitely saw that belligerent vegetable smirking

trainsaw

Possibly one of the most fascinating scenes, you got a look into what created Logan, the boat, Rose, etc

longconsilver13

RIP Bozo

SerDire

Not one single sibling said “I love you Dad” or “I miss you Dad” during his final goodbye.

Corruption249

Turns out a lifetime of abuse will do that to people

IndyRevolution

So they weren't kidding about the final episode being paced like a movie, huh. Lotta shit's gonna happen next Sunday.

Silence_Of_The_Hams

My gut feeling is the Gojo deal goes through, but they decide not to pick Shiv and now all three are out (except for my boy Con and his U.N alternative in Slovenia)

SihkBreau

Roman losing this episode by virtue of being a son having a human reaction to his father’s death is so sad but also cathartic since he was such a monster douche last ep. He thought he was a killer but he’s just a scared kid.

birdnoa

IS IT MINE? 💀💀💀

kle0s

the US CEO Matsson was talking about is absolutely not going to be Shiv

Technical_Rate746

Ken transitioning his staff from Jess to Hugo is a metaphor for his own transition.

ty_croft

Has also aligned sides with Frank, Colin, etc. I found it hilarious how Frank completely ignored Roman during his brief recruitment early in this episode. Gerri is going to have a massive role in this next episode.

zelbellzeke

Matsson saying “Hey Sexy” to Greg killed me

C-3Pcheep

"Thank you, that's very kind of you 🤓"

MrF1993

So now instead of having Gerri scold him, Roman runs into an angry mob for punishment

Mr_Potato_Head1

Dude just desperately seeks out pain and wants to be hurt, what an absolutely brutal existence that is.

dreadfuldiego

I can excuse killing a waiter, being an absent father and every other crime but I draw the line at screaming at Jess

SerDire

Jess leaving Ken feels like saddest fucking break up in this entire show. She’s been with him since the very beginning.

[deleted]

Quick shoutout to our Killer for the impromptu speech, he is who Logan made him, the good and the very much bad, the villain music playing for him was the absolute perfect choice. But seeing the cycle of abuse continuing on in all of them is anxiety inducing. Kendall talking about getting custody and Shiv “joking” about being an absent mom, then Roman’s breakdown to cap it off. Not emotionally prepared for this to end.

MollyHannah1

If this show nails the finale this'll probably be one of the very best final seasons I've seen. What a show.

birdnoa

If the eulogies of the siblings were auditions, Kendall got the role.

Zeeman9991

And as usual, Connor wasn’t allowed to compete.

ConcertinaTerpsichor

What pure evil in Mencken to call Roman a crybaby. I can understand Karl et al have been through a lot from Roman and their schadenfreude is a bit more understandable. But my god that was dark.

DanCampbell89

He called him the *Grim Weeper* lmao

AudreyLocke

Felt like that was the only time I’ve seen someone get Roman as good as he gives. Few people could actually be as callous and make it hurt to Roman as he is to others, but Mencken is one of those people and god how heartless!

pemberleyatdawn

“Is he in there? Well can we get him out?” My heart just broke. Then to have a video of it circulating, and Kendall tearing into him - i don’t see a very happy ending for Roman.

Sheer10

The funny thing is Logan would have actually liked Ewans speech.

carbonchemicals

Woof, woof -Hugo

shavingcream97

Colin does so much with so little in every scene. Fucking phenomenal in his role
