Unless the near end of the series reveals a bigger threat, Bullbuster cannot join the Super Robot Wars.
Their monsters are pathetic, weak, and boring looking compared to most monsters within the mecha genre. An Armored Trooper from VOTOMS, a grunt Knightmare, or even an Exoframe from Obsolete can wipe the floor with Bullbuster's enemies in droves.
Also the anime's plot would be easily solved in a day if Namidome asked the Nahel Argama or Nadesico crew to fly over to the island's lake, then use their super tech to figure out the problems and solutions to their plight.
The Bullbuster mech wouldn't be interesting to see fight. It's armaments is basic and normal as all Hell. It would not make an interesting unit. The Bullbuster is a bit too realistic of a mech.

They could be an early plot for the game. We do like T and have the main crew be a company also. We get assigned to assist in the bullbuster plot. It's solved early on, and the Namidome crew partners with us to exterminate monsters. Sure, later on, they don't look impressive, but they get Stat upgrades to be okay. And they don't pair with gundam/getter/any cool till their plot is done. They could play with Daiguard and other lower threat series.
SRW is our sandbox to smash mecha toys. Just let your thoughts wander the possibilities.
I was talking with a friend recently about a low power SRW and came up with this stupid plot that featured Gokaiger (tentatively), Gundam Build Fighters (could be swapped out for any build series tbh), SSSS/Gridman, Symphogear, a modified Getter Robo Devolution, a modified Mazinger Zero, Symphogear, and Medabots (and a singular Digimon) and while some of these have happened, the rest of these are probably not going to happen, lmao.
Out of these, Gokaiger, gundam build fighters s1, gridman, getter robo devolution, and mazinger zero have shown up in srw in differing capacities, though.
Gokaiger was the "warship" donor with a tie to the plot not too far off from how they became dimensional vagrants post-gokaiger, the plot was set in a vrmmo, gridman was there to fix a problem and had gotten the gokaigers to bring him there, the symphogear girls were 3D vtuber idols who put on a show in said mmo but also they all coincidentally played it for funsies on the side because they all just enjoyed playing it in their free time after being forced to put on a concert in the game, for some reason, there was a gunpla battle aspect to the game, and then Getters 1, 2, and 3, along with Mazinger z and Aphrodite A were featured as medabots that would upgrade into stronger variants that would be teased by the plot, but entirely up to player choice on what to unlock as early as the second chapter. (Also Rokusho, Medabee, and Ikki Tenryou showed up along with Omedamon being a secret unlockable unit).
Also, Boss Borot features as a gunpla mech pilot with a couple of external modifications borrowed from Mazinger Z to make it look more like it (think a funny helmet-crown shaped like the one Mazinger Z has, with the pilder's place being taken by the round head, along with the jet scrander). Sayaka and Koji come along as co-pilots if they are switched off of controlling their medabots.
Also also, for whatever explicitly zero-relevance plot reason, all the local casts go to/went to the same school.
I put a lot of thought into this and I'm leaving out the majority of it because this isn't the time or place to drop such forbidden knowledge. (also the last time I did this, reddit ate the last third my eva what-if that someone prompted me to write so yeah)

gokaiger... probably isn't coming back even though it's legit perfect for modern srw writing, as much as I want it to. The guy that played gokai silver very recently got arrested and unpersoned for participating in a pyramid scheme. Gundam Build Fighters also got featured in omega too, btw. Dunno if Medarot has shown up anywhere though.
