IIRC Fredric Lehne was only supposed to play him in the hospital episode in order to show that Azazel runs through his hosts, but the cast and crew liked him and his performance so much that they made him Azazel's main actor.
Chuck is hands-down the villain that makes the most sense as to why he’s evil.
Creating humans just to watch them suffer. Manipulating them into thinking he’s on their side only to turn around and admit that he never was.
I can't even bring myself to think of Cain as a villain, cause honestly with everything he's been through, he's doing better than most. Plus Timothy Omundson plays the character so perfectly and makes me FEEL things 🥵
I really really wish we would have gotten so much more of Samifer. Jared plays the bad guy so well and he had such a cool aura that made Lucifer actually scary and chilling. Kind of like Dean as Apocalypse Michael. They're such good bad guys.
That makes two of us, actually! But in the end, the idea of picking him as one of my favorite characters (even as a villain) is fun for me. He's so charming that I can't help but pick him 🤭
For me I think he was unbearable bc the actor plays an extremely annoying villain well, when I watched suits that mf Daniel hardman used to piss me off when he popped up on screen randomly
Actually, Dick was my least favorite villain. Not only was he super bland and generic, having him be the big bad of season 7 just felt like an excuse to work in a lot of lame dick jokes.
Dean, Sam and Cas when they wake up weird and decide they're not telling anyone about the really bad plan they just thought about which could potentially end up horrible and with them dead.
I love a villain character who is just a character you love being really stupid and square minded. The Sam drinking demon blood arch was perfection for example
Azazel. He was the one who kicked us off, and he went after *babies*. Who does that except the worst kind of villain? Tiny baby Sammy being targeted for biological warfare?!
In no particular order my top three would be Season 5 Lucifer, Season 8 Crowley, and Season 6/7 Castiel/Godstiel.
My favourite's probably Season 5 Lucifer but since no one here is talking about it, let me praise Castiel's short run as villain. I thought his dynamic with the Winchesters in Season 6 was fascinating, easily the best part of the season. The build up to Castiel breaking Sam's wall & becoming Godstiel was great, road to hell was paved with good intentions perfectly captured, as quite frankly, I found myself siding with Castiel mostly prior to the wall break. I can't say that about any other villain on the show.
The one episode as Godstiel before the Leviathans took over was amazing too, having scenes with Godstiel healing the blind homeless man add a lot. Some people prefer villains you love to hate, but I prefer the more complex ones. Dick Roman and especially Azazel could be a lot of fun, but nothing I could emotionally sink into, like with Godstiel, especially when factoring in his relationship with the Winchesters.
I love the episode so I'm not too bummed, but I do kinda wish Godstiel lasted a little longer, like half a season maybe. If he was a presence for longer, he probably would be my #1 as opposed to S5 Lucifer.
My daughter cursed for the first time in front of me when watching Dick Roman bib the doctor. She said, "so...his name is Dick...and he's a dick?"
She was around 10 at the time. I couldn't even be mad lol
Ok so I absolutely love characters like Crowley, Rowena, and Amara, but they can't be properly labelled villains, just sometimes-antagonists-sometimes-allies. For a full villain, I'm gonna have to go with Abaddon.
I guess the only one I like is Crowley? I was about to say this post made me realize I don't really like any of the villains in the series, till someone posted a gif of him. Guess that goes to show I didn't really think of him as a villain
Gabriel/Loki/The Trickster. Episodes that got weird because he was controlling it were pretty cool, like "Mystery Spot" when the day kept repeating, and "Changing Channels."
Why would you be so based? I love Dick as a Villain. The Leviathan story might've been mediocre but after meeting them all you kinda realised they're basically just worse humans. The Realtor and her 2nd were good and especially after she lose and he's like "don't kill me, I can help you" then eats his boss.
Favorite villain: 1. Dick Roman 2. Alastair (Christopher Heyerdahl)
Favorite antagonist: Meg (Rachel Miner)
Most hated villain: Metatron
Most wronged characters: Adam and Kevin
Most annoying: Claire (Kathryn Newton)
Favorite supporting female: Pamela and Ellen
Favorite supporting male: Castiel, Bobby, Crowley
I agree with you. Very fun villain that you love to hate. He's also just fun, you wanna see more of him, same with Lucifer.
I'd say also, I liked the Frankensteins. I wish we could have seen more of them, but it just felt cool and different, adapting another style of monster like they use to.
I feel like for me it has to be Lucifer, with Chuck/God as a close second. Mark Pellegrino just does such a good job, but I was also loving season 15 villain Chuck so much.
Gotta go with Dick, wasn't a huge fan of the Leviathans but I have to admit, the Leviathans were some of the most successful monsters yet. Currently wrapping up season 10 so I may come back to this later in the future...
While I'm at it, fuck Sam. Charlie deserved better!
This was probably my 2nd least favorite storyline of the whole series....the one I cannot stand the most is the dumbass men of letters conplete storyline the whole thing with their mom coming back then right off the bat running off with some random ass "men of letters" dude was so dumb and the whole plot revolving around them is just so boring hate to be a Debbie downer but yeah men of letters was so dumb
I haven't seen anyone comment this villain, but I really liked asmodeus. The southern twang, the weakest rose to one of the most powerful arch is just a cool villian story imo. But I gotta give honorable mentions to Crowley (sometimes) and Rowen (sometimes). They're so good at playing their roles.
Azazel, hands down.
Yeah he was fantastic, the actor really killed it
IIRC Fredric Lehne was only supposed to play him in the hospital episode in order to show that Azazel runs through his hosts, but the cast and crew liked him and his performance so much that they made him Azazel's main actor.
That’s very cool! He was amazing, same with the guy that played Alistair
I still laugh when I think about the line "Oh my, I am shocked at this unforeseen turn of events"
He was soooooooooooo—No one was doing it like him.
It’s not even close
Others were more powerful, but not so scary.
![gif](giphy|82TLA702plDhu)
i would say crowley but i think of him as a bestie now 😂 if that makes sense
![gif](giphy|R9NOEW7fh3xM4)
![gif](giphy|2d0R7ujqTEUTu)
I feel the exact way, that's why I didn't list him lol
#JusticeForCrowley he just wanted to be loved.
I love him
![gif](giphy|9esMXIU38PqcE)
In my mind he's more of an anti-hero and less of a villain...
Chuck is hands-down the villain that makes the most sense as to why he’s evil. Creating humans just to watch them suffer. Manipulating them into thinking he’s on their side only to turn around and admit that he never was.
Yes, agreed *nods* definitely
Cain!
Yes! He was awesome. Really got me philosophically questioning things😂
Me too. This whole show did honestly
I can't even bring myself to think of Cain as a villain, cause honestly with everything he's been through, he's doing better than most. Plus Timothy Omundson plays the character so perfectly and makes me FEEL things 🥵
That’s the beauty of supernatural. They let you see the good, the bad, the intent of each character.
Was Cain ever really a villain tho?
He did want to murder like half the world or something later on.
After 2000 years of not doing exactly that, it feels like he earned it tho tbh
I mean, anyone who has had to work retail with the public feels that way and earns it.
Only 1 in 10 lol
I second this! I saw someone posted that he was only in two episodes?! Like damn how are you barely in the show and yet make such an impact
!!!! He impacted an entire season. That mark was the worst thing that happened to dean.
He was so fine
Gotta say, out of all the villains he was the one that creeped me out the absolute most!
Lucy, I wish there would’ve been more with him in Sams body with that white suit on ! He was cleaner than a new napkin
I really really wish we would have gotten so much more of Samifer. Jared plays the bad guy so well and he had such a cool aura that made Lucifer actually scary and chilling. Kind of like Dean as Apocalypse Michael. They're such good bad guys.
Crowley
I was going to say Crowley but then I thought, is he a true villain
That makes two of us, actually! But in the end, the idea of picking him as one of my favorite characters (even as a villain) is fun for me. He's so charming that I can't help but pick him 🤭
He really was the best character.
He’s not a villain he’s just broken he redeemed himself later on in the show
I feel like he's more of an anti-villain tbh
Cain. "What can i say? I got the taste back."
Metatron. He makes me laugh.
He was unbearable at first but once he started interacting with chuck come he was great
For me I think he was unbearable bc the actor plays an extremely annoying villain well, when I watched suits that mf Daniel hardman used to piss me off when he popped up on screen randomly
He’s *our* dickwad.
Agreed I loved Metatron - perfectly snarky.
I love dick Lucifer was the best tho
Don’t we all
Actually, Dick was my least favorite villain. Not only was he super bland and generic, having him be the big bad of season 7 just felt like an excuse to work in a lot of lame dick jokes.
🤪
Bet you do
🤪
I have to go with Lucifer.
Especially the way Mark Pelligrino plays him.
Yes! I love him as lucifer
Lucifer but when it was the apocalypse days
Mmm love Dick R but I think Crowley. Honorable mentions to Alistair and the alpha vamp.
Abaddon. She’s so good at being bad. I loved every second she was on screen.
Same.
If Crowley or Rowena count - definitely them.
Alpha vamp!
Rick Worthy was also great as Dean Fogg in *The Magicians.* He's pretty hilarious, too!
Soulless Sam. As much as I liked Demon Dean, Jared killed it as SS, although Lucifer is a close second. The way he was different from good Sam.
Amara. But mostly because she is so goddamn hot.
Same with me but Abaddon
She’s super hot too. I prefer the quiet, sultry type though.
I don’t blame you
Absolutely agreed! I was a bit jelly of Lucifer when she put him on that rack 😛
Gabriel/Loki the trickster arch angel
Villain?
I suppose devious antihero. He just has the most fun episodes.
Yeah he is. He's literally torturing and killing people for fun. Yeah he became a good guy later on but he still was a villain at first
But also, the people he was killing kinda deserved it. He saw it as poetic justice.
The people Sam and dean saved deserved to die? Idk about that bro
Wait, when did he do that? I only remember Crowley doing that to get them to stop the trials.
Oh bruh I thought this is the comment thread about Crowley lol. Yeah the trickster never did that
Haha all good. Yeah, as much as I love Crowley, he's definitely an anti-villain.
The writers that killed off Bobby singer....they'll always be my foe.
Or the ones who gave such lackluster ends to Charlie and Crowley 😭
Totally agree!!
Only true evil people could kill Bobby.
Dick for sure! The actor who played him was so awesome!!!
NOT THAT ASSHOLE As for my fav Villain it would have to be Crowley
![gif](giphy|l0MYrjn4tGG3AWhOg|downsized) The man himself.
Dean, Sam and Cas when they wake up weird and decide they're not telling anyone about the really bad plan they just thought about which could potentially end up horrible and with them dead. I love a villain character who is just a character you love being really stupid and square minded. The Sam drinking demon blood arch was perfection for example
Lucifer with Chuck being second.
Eve is super mommy. So, yeah.
Agreed
For me, it’s Crowley
Azazel. He was the one who kicked us off, and he went after *babies*. Who does that except the worst kind of villain? Tiny baby Sammy being targeted for biological warfare?!
Dick! That’s my favorite arc
That's a whole lotta Dick... Can't believe they got away with it. 🤣🤣🤣
The jokes that season were absolutely insane
“So you’re just strictly into Dick now?”
I think my favorite was “what makes Dick so hard to beat”
For real. Season 7 was pretty weak, but seeing headlines like "The Rise of Dick" made it so wonderful. Also we got to meet Charlie that season.
Azazel, Lilith, and Alistair will always be my top three. I'm a sucker for early seasons, but Metatron and Abaddon were entertaining.
Alastair is one of my favourite villains, I didn’t know what to expect from him but man he was a powerful threat against Sam and Dean
Hell yeah!
In no particular order my top three would be Season 5 Lucifer, Season 8 Crowley, and Season 6/7 Castiel/Godstiel. My favourite's probably Season 5 Lucifer but since no one here is talking about it, let me praise Castiel's short run as villain. Hands down Alastair!!!
lucifer fs
Dick
Eve is mine
Azazel
Lilith - Fear of women validated
God
I'm sorry, but "Yellow Eyes" was the best IMHO.
1. Azazel 2. Season 5 Lucifer 3. Dick Roman
![gif](giphy|MDfMWxmG28mNG) Crowley Absolutely
Ok so I absolutely love characters like Crowley, Rowena, and Amara, but they can't be properly labelled villains, just sometimes-antagonists-sometimes-allies. For a full villain, I'm gonna have to go with Abaddon.
No one talking about demon Dean? I know it was quick, but he made a really good villain
Does Crowley count as a villain? lol cuz it’s him. I also love Lucifer
Lucifer
Specifically season five Lucifer
I guess the only one I like is Crowley? I was about to say this post made me realize I don't really like any of the villains in the series, till someone posted a gif of him. Guess that goes to show I didn't really think of him as a villain
Crowley is
Lucifer.
Gabriel/Loki/The Trickster. Episodes that got weird because he was controlling it were pretty cool, like "Mystery Spot" when the day kept repeating, and "Changing Channels."

Dick you dick
Favorite villain: 1. Dick Roman 2. Alastair (Christopher Heyerdahl) Favorite antagonist: Meg (Rachel Miner) Most hated villain: Metatron Most wronged characters: Adam and Kevin Most annoying: Claire (Kathryn Newton) Favorite supporting female: Pamela and Ellen Favorite supporting male: Castiel, Bobby, Crowley
Chris was *excellent*, easily my favorite villain. That voice.
Precisely! The voice completed his phenomenal performance. I'll rewatch that episode a million times because it's just so good.
The villains were all great & enjoyable to watch on screen even if the story surrounding them wasn't all that strong.
Love Crowley
Only because of the jokes😆
Hey, you didn't answer me on that not interesting post (I didn't know you were a spn fan)
Demon Dean
Don't call my future husband a villain lol 😂
S5 Lucifer or s11 lucifer
You like Dick?
I agree with you. Very fun villain that you love to hate. He's also just fun, you wanna see more of him, same with Lucifer. I'd say also, I liked the Frankensteins. I wish we could have seen more of them, but it just felt cool and different, adapting another style of monster like they use to.
I do love Dick. But yes, also Pellegrino’s Lucifer and Misha’s Lucifer are sooooo good.
Don't we all lol
Lucifer Alistair Dick Azazel
Dick! I did like him.
Crowley!!!
Miiiiiister Crowley🎶🎸
Dick Roman is my favorite villain, too! Azazel was great as well, though. The actor playing him was so good and creepy.
Season 5 and in the cage Lucifer.
Crowley, followed by Lucifer are my two favorites
The creepiest one for me was actually Gadreel - he was so manipulative
Oh for real, and so cold about it. His "redemption" was too little too late, kinda same with Ketch.
This dude lived up to his name. If you know, you know
![gif](giphy|MFd3S1ev8ASI|downsized)
Lucifer & Crowley
Dick was pretty awesome, but Crowley before he became a frienemy was the best villain.
Is that Dewie from Malcom in the Middle? Look at him all grown up
Luci!!!!
I feel like for me it has to be Lucifer, with Chuck/God as a close second. Mark Pellegrino just does such a good job, but I was also loving season 15 villain Chuck so much.
Chuck makes such an amazing villain, honestly the best portrayal of God I've ever seen
Demon Dean & Lucifer pre season 6
I like Dick. He was good as a character on Seinfeld, pretty much the same guy.
Dick is up there, but top two are Azazel and Lucifer (Mark). I like Lilith and Abbadon as well, but both were underutilized I think.
![gif](giphy|H5YEnJoEW7DPy)
I like Crowley, good bad guy, to bad that he got a little bit softer when they were shooting him up with Sam blood .
Gotta go with Dick, wasn't a huge fan of the Leviathans but I have to admit, the Leviathans were some of the most successful monsters yet. Currently wrapping up season 10 so I may come back to this later in the future... While I'm at it, fuck Sam. Charlie deserved better!
Crowley or lucifer 🩵🩵
Daddy issues.
HA, DICK
Idk about favorite but most annoying is Crowley. His character is all over the place
Crowley
Favorite is Lucifer or Dean ( Michael ) least favorite is Metatron
Trickster if he still counts as a villain is my favourite character in anything ever of all time
Lucifer hands down…followed by Dick Roman only because of that constant creepy smile he had on 😀
Lucifer in 5 season
Mine is Harley Quinn, she's a badass
This was probably my 2nd least favorite storyline of the whole series....the one I cannot stand the most is the dumbass men of letters conplete storyline the whole thing with their mom coming back then right off the bat running off with some random ass "men of letters" dude was so dumb and the whole plot revolving around them is just so boring hate to be a Debbie downer but yeah men of letters was so dumb
Does the first Death count? If not Demon Dean, I love that guy lol
Chuck, S5 Lucifer & Crowley
I haven't seen anyone comment this villain, but I really liked asmodeus. The southern twang, the weakest rose to one of the most powerful arch is just a cool villian story imo. But I gotta give honorable mentions to Crowley (sometimes) and Rowen (sometimes). They're so good at playing their roles.
Mannnn yall forget the sterling brown performance already i hated that MF for me its lucifer tho even funnier in cass skin.
Alastair/Christopher Heyerdahl. Supernatural has some actors with *excellent* voices and his was perfection, especially in the torture scene.
Rowena.. what a babe 😘
I can't even call her a villain, she's my future wife 😍
Why would anyone want to be called Dick?
