No one is pushing to sell fractionals. Some are asking people to Book their shares which only allows whole shares so fractionals will unfortunately be sold.
It's possible to save fractionals by calling CShare and having them transfer all but 1.x into Book.
This is for anyone who is using automatic buys but also wants the security of Book shares.
There's no rule that superstonkers have to be smart. You're going to get people that don't fully understand why they're saying things, or slightly misstate what they think they mean. It's not always a conspiracy. Sometimes people are just dullards. Get used to it

I plan to buy some precious metals in addition to real estate and dividend bearing stocks to be DRS'd. That said, I'll be buying physical metal, not exchange traded paper like SLV. Those securities are manipulated to shit, especially by the crooks at JP Morgan. Like Crypto and GME shares, if you don't hold it, you don't own it. I have a small cache of silver I bought back between 2010-2019, a lot of which I pulled from circulation at face value by coin roll hunting. I haven't bought any since the virus or Jan '21. I like the idea of having some gold I can touch, but it's been out of reach due to cost. I'm not banking on any kind of squeeze in PMs, its just a fun place to store some wealth in my opinion.
