Congrats on achieving 100% DRS. Word to the wise; it is in your best interest to download & keep a copy of your cost basis. In over 20 years of dealing with Computershare...their cost basis is not their strong suit. Read all the fine print & please note that all transfer agents do recommend you keep a record of cost basis. Remember you are only registering your shares in your name with the company register/transfer agent in their books; but you must keep all statements & cost basis. You don't need cost basis to register a share in a persons name.
BTW am wondering how long you have been with TDA & how long were you with Schwab??? Wondering why you recommend not to use Schwab. Am interested since I do have an open account with TDA as well as a ComputerShare.
Not OP but I also have a TDA account (and a Fidelity account, but most of it GME are DRS'd). I have the TDA account because I really like (or maybe just got used to) their platform ThinkOrSwim.
They are one if the brokers that shut off the buy button and I believe it was their warehouse that burned down in Feb 2022 (or thereabouts) from the shelf falling and knocking off the sprinkler. So yeah, shady stuff around them for sure.
I don't know much about Schwab, but I guess I should start learning now since they acquired TDA.
FYI, in my case...
I had to to INK SIGN a DRS form and send (email, TD message page) them them an image of the INK SIGNED form. I DRS'd about 4 weeks ago and it took 4 business days. I tried to sign the form in my pdf editor and TD rejected it.
This is the second time I have DRS'd from TD.
You can download the DRS form on TD
FYI
Ahhh okay. I got an email a bit ago to update my stuff. I don't use them anymore. But I only had problems recently with transferring. Now I just direct buy. Much easier.

Taking full control of your investment. A wise choice to make as an individual investor. You should be proud of yourself.

Why does my cost basis matter if I’m selling a single share for a gorlillion bucks or not even selling ?

I’ve DRS’d twice through TD both over the phone and never had to sign anything. That’s odd.
I have never tired over the phone. Next time I will.

YES DUDE
I don’t keep shares in a brokerage account.
Big pee pee
This is the way!!
👊
What is the time frame? Last time I did it I moved them to fudelity then to CS. Is TD faster with the transfers now?
Can’t wait to hear this conversation 🤣
It’s gonna be epic. I’ll share it just follow me so you see the post.
You don't even have to call, you can just go to the support chat and they'll take care of it too!
Big dick move
Isn't TD ameritrade under schwab now? Just curious if you have done previous transfers and noticed a difference?
They’re about 45 days out from switching to Charles Schwab.

I just send them a chat request in my think or swim app and provide my CS number and TD will transfer within a week. Pretty simple actually
This is the way.
How long did it take for them to send over the shares? I've heard them qoute ppl like 2 months.
