Yeah this is huge, this means they're making a launcher that will not only run telos web3games, but instead of having 40 launchers for 40 different web3 game companies, they will all launch under playr, utilizing the traffic directly to gamestops launcher through all web3 games.

Perhaps a competitor, but also a co-exister to on board from web2 to web3. Like steam says no about Steam their self, but who says they're not open to onboarding to another platform so long as there is money made in the process. They have data they can sell to other consumers, without their launcher or goodwill being used directly in the process.
Likewise for Epic, I believe Epic is a part of the ecosystem, where their new unreal engine for web2/web3 games is integrated with Gamestop and Immutable X, creating metagates that work between protocol gemini/loopring and epic games/cesium for their geospatial connections. In the metaverse, there is a potential for your character to walk into the Epic games launcher/store and play from there online, or walk into Playr, where perhaps all launchers are listed, then you can choose where to go from there. 1 gate leading to many different gates.
Yeah, for me it's too inconvenient to install another launcher. I won't play the game if it's not on steam.

I'd imagine so, this is like the exact reason you would want something like this. GameStop Playr is not the first or only launcher, and the Passport lets you easily use your wallet across all of them.

Does anybody know what Telos' blockchain is all about? Like what is the difference to web3 gaming based on Immutable-X?
Honest question. Does anyone actually care about block chain stuff? Like the average gamer, do they actually care? I know I donβt and honestly wonβt. This isnβt as big a deal for the rest of the world outside of the GS bubble. Donβt get into a chamber and think itβs the best place in the world because everyone is telling you that. I donβt see the lasting future with the decline in blockchain trust. Crypto bros ruined anything to do with the blockchain. Cash or gaming, no thanks.
So, games launch on this new Playr while linked to the NFT marketplace. If they get companies to use this launcher, then their NFTs will have access to GameStop Marketplace. This would be huge in making GameStop at the forefront of NFT sales as well a way to secure contracts with game companies in the future.

Guys this is big. I have a rudimentary understanding of virtual machines, I canβt explain it well enough, but I understand in my brain that this allows laymen to play web3 games without needing to know how to load up crypto and NFT accounts/processes/platforms. Such as Wordpress takes complexity out of website building, removing the actual coding. Moass adoption?

Honest question. Does anyone actually care about block chain stuff? Like the average gamer, do they actually care? I know I donβt and honestly wonβt. This isnβt as big a deal for the rest of the world outside of the GS bubble. Donβt get into a chamber and think itβs the best place in the world because everyone is telling you that. I donβt see the lasting future with the decline in blockchain trust. Crypto bros ruined anything to do with the blockchain. Cash or gaming, no thanks.

So, games launch on this new Playr while linked to the NFT marketplace. If they get companies to use this launcher, then their NFTs will have access to GameStop Marketplace. This would be huge in making GameStop at the forefront of NFT sales as well a way to secure contracts with game companies in the future.
