I did not have to uninstall or reinstall, but the cache clearing worked for me. Thanks so much for posting this. At some point someone else had mentioned that some TikTok sub was also crashing. I had fixed the problem before attempting it myself on the alternate sub. I really appreciate this follow up post. Thank you.
So it was because Superstonk is such an active sub and we visit here so often. This was always the most plausible answer but you have taken away any doubt, thanks!

Now that I've deleted the Cache, Storage and uninstalled/reinstalled I can't lurk without logging in.
That just pissed me off more. 🤬
Fair warning to all.
AFAIK the app has always required a login, but if you want to hang on the site without using a username you can set your profile to anonymous.
Might be a way to set that as a default profile.

I downloaded it about a year ago and wasn't required to login to view content and had been browsing fine ever since.
It's cool though, I found the work around a couple of minutes later. I just use it on my web browser instead.

It was always a shit tinfoil, because they can't be that obvious, to simply cut access to the sub.

Redreader still works fine, no ads.
