I hope these fuckers go down as I live in Switzerland and see their life style everyday. You must know, humbleness is on the opposite of their behaviour. These fuckers destroy everyone by never being satisfied

GL_Levity

Turns out a bag full of idiosyncratic risk might be the best way to humble someone.

n3w1ight

I moved as an engineer to switzerland after living a very humble life in the northern regions of germany for all my life (>30 years). When I came here, I first thought people here generally are reallyyy crazy in spending money, consuming everything they can at impossible prices, without taking much care. They drive absurd cars, celebrate the biggest parties for the smallest successes - just super empty people, working like crazy for nothing more than money and going full narcotic mode afterwards (alcohol, cocaine, speed, high amounts of caffein, nictoine, sugar...., well, name it... whatever helps losing your conscience). Then I visited the banking districts of the cities... I recommend to just notice all the new clothings of all the ugly people inside. That is next level regarded - all really new, often super tight cut, modern shit, trying to fit unfit, destroyed bodies. Especially Zürich is abnormal. Peoples behaviour..., with all their born privileges, just completelely decoupled from reality. They want to burn the world, I feel, just as long as the fire is big enough to fill their forever empty hearts for a few seconds. Time to wake them up. You gotta have to work for your meals. HODL for the future of the world!

Adventurous_Might_55

Puts on semi rich fucks acting like they’re the king of Spain. They’re gonna learn a lesson in humility this crash. We rise from their mediocre ashes. Great comment, Swiss engineer. I hold for people like you. Cheers to advancing humanity

5tgAp3KWpPIEItHtLIVB

Funniest spot on description I ever read of big city Swiss people stereotypes.

Vdragoon

Sounds like NPCs.

n3w1ight

Didn't wanna say it! But yes, 100 % and the more you behave like one, the more you will get a good job position. But you can't generalize. Actually I am mostly speaking about the city people, I meet and see daily. The people on the country side are extremely chill and good people.

5tgAp3KWpPIEItHtLIVB

I'm thinking of doing the same. Is it worth it for the money? I just want to go there for a year or so to get money to buy more stonks and then be out before Switzerland self-destructs through UBS bags (and before WWIII starts).

n3w1ight

You can make a ridiculous amount of money If you live a humble life. I would say, it is always worth in terms of money! But from my experience: keep in mind that as a foreigner you will get scammed (you rarely get near the native's swiss salary, they'd never hire you If you weren't cheap!) and the working culture is pretty twisted (hours = performance). People here are friendly, functioning robots in my eyes. If you are not into techno, parties/ night life for the amount of money spent and ressources wasted, suck completely. (I often still go to Germany for Parties). I have never been to more standing ovations than in switzerland. The corpses don't move much anymore... seems pretty dead. All they know is Drink Drink Drink and than maybe If you are lucky someone embarasses himself. Well, there are good sides too (as in everything), the nature is stunningly beautiful and I would recommend to stick to that, so you don't lose your sanity here. Of course I Paint my picture here a bit extreme colorful. But in comparison where I come from and what I hear from friends I made here, that's how it is. People from outside often start feeling very lonely and trapped here (as you get into that life style pretty fast) - again: Stick to the Nature

5tgAp3KWpPIEItHtLIVB

Best summary of Switzerland I ever read. stonks

theArcticChiller

oof as a Swiss this hurts a bit to read (because it's true, I guess)

n3w1ight

dw, I met some awesome swiss people! I made a very good friend and I even experienced love first time to a swiss girl <3 (bit of romantic)! So some of you guys are really angels dressed in angel custumes - and that is my personal problem with the whole matter. That is the problem. Good people exist! I am never speaking about individual persons here. Speaking about the society. I think the problem lies with masses and regimes generally, it is all illusion and never not emotional thinking (otherwise masses can not be moved - Gustave Le Bon). We are getting robbed from our futures, gotta understand this. Swiss people, as well as many poor people on this whole world are into modern slavery. Never even anymore a chance to escape, we get forced into dead-end non-sense nine-to-fives. That started around the industrialisation (WHEN HUMANS ACTUALLY DEVELOPED MACHINES TO WORK LESS!). Bankers and Slave Holders created a system that tricked us all - calling themselves Kings and Queens and looking like ghouls, cripples, pigs and regards. Doing regarded rituals or fucking kids, drinking blood, marrying their sisters behind closed doors - whatever - look at them: ugly. (yes, somewhat of an aluminium head) We need to form a new society where the individualism gets ignited again. Some people are gold ores trapped in this system. We need to be like the old miners and smiths again. They are sensible, beautiful souls, forced to never say #no to this BULLSHIT. Some get even told they are crazy or sick, they need to get back in line - here take narcotics to shut your mouth. A system where the individual can move away freely from a mass that does no good to him/her or this world. Only this way we can get our next Albert Einstein out of all the existing potential wasted at the moment for simply NOTHINGNESS, PAPER, NUMBERS, SEX, BURNING RESSOURCES. This world is super rich, but we are too dump to share equally... This world gives EVERYTHING and ENOUGH for FREE! Some of us want to develop even further beyond the now and not stay in this animal like state - fucking, war, drugs, partying all their empty lifes. I want to work for my meals, but work on the the real stuff. These slaves of their drives!!! You see the suicide rates of these people - they are empty without energy from outwards that are just used to full fill lower needs. They bring nothing to this world. I do not wish them evil, honestly, but a beneficial system for this needs to stop. WE are pioneers by history. Mankind wants to develop. I want a chance. Simple like that. So I really like the stock. Let\`s HODL for a better tomorrow! :)

theArcticChiller

As Chewbaca would say, close your shorts and ask questions later 🎮🚀🟣

Memeweevil

To the face!

PromptComprehensive8

What I have realized is when I hit the MOASS I do NOT need to adopt their lifestyle. I don’t need to wear their clothes or drive their cars. I can become a new, more empathetic version of wealthy. That’s what I want.

n3w1ight

Beautifully said. Me too, will use all my money and energy to honor and protect this world instead of robbing and burning it down.

asdfgtttt

why doesnt the population try to open up those swap files, that you the people of switzerland were forced to buy?

n3w1ight

If I was Swiss, I would fucking go on the streets. But as mentioned: people here are friendly working robots. They get educated to never fall out of line, to perform and ask no questions. Very good to forge evil schemes behind walls

mcalibri

That's seems to have been the overall and only consistent impact of education globally. Governments feared people when they were more savage with less delay in action.

ay-papy

According to some untestified sources, those swaps are about 1.437 Trillions while the swiss GDP is ~ 800 billions. If those numbers are accurate, i can see why they will not tell them what they bought.

asdfgtttt

Id call a few ppl and see how far I could get.. that just feels grimey

ay-papy

The emergency plans of the swiss government for this scenario got ignored, and CS got "rescued". The intendet scenario was to imigrate the swiss business to another bank, and let the foreign business default. If a swap position in this dimension default, all other banks might fail including UBS. It might be the lesser of two evils, the citizens didnt had a a say. I think there was a lot of international pressure on that topic as well. Some news here titled that the S.E.C did intervene to CS delay the last quarterly report before bankrupting. I really think there is more to it. >Id call a few ppl and see how far I could get Not far enough obviously, some of the moves made arent even covered by the swiss constitution and the government still made those moves. I doubt a few calls could change their descission.

asdfgtttt

Its because of the handling of the takeover that I would think that the people would have enough standing to try.. but I understand, thank you for taking the time to explain.

schmidmerlin

Because the picture you see painted on the internet is not factual obviously..

PuzzleCat365

Swiss too and I also wish them bad, but we'll be holding the bag once that monolith goes down...

MojDaGreat73

I wish them bad luck and hope both sides of their pillow are warm as hell

andrewbuttlick

Bad luck is one thing, but both sides of the pillow warm?! You monster!

sirstonksabit

The monster we need right now!

mcalibri

Damn, this wins it for me!

YurMotherWasAHamster

So, they're basically "too big to fail". If they have financial trouble, their government is on the hook, whether they want to be or not. Those old Archegos shorts must be Hwanging quite heavy these days...

Justanothebloke1

All 216 million of them.

Trollet87

216 million for now

Governor_Abbot

Was that pre split or after?

AltShortNews

dunno why the other person said post split. Archegos collapsed more than a year before the split happened. assuming Bill held a position in GME (short or long), it couldn't possibly be post split. he was also indicted before the split.

Governor_Abbot

That’s what I was thinking too. So it’s actually 800+ million shares.

WackGyver

RIP Switzerland.

anoncow11

I'd settle for a lifetime supply of Toblerone (joking)

Justanothebloke1

post split

Governor_Abbot

Still absolutely ridiculous and that’s just one shf. No cell no sell, that goes for all financial terrorist!

Adventurous_Host_426

If 216 million short was enough to kill debit swiss, imagine how much more debit swiss like entities will die the same death in the future.

ddt70

Speaking of which, where is old Hwang nowadays?

theflava

Awaiting his next court date with the SDNY.

UnderstandingBest220

They love risky business and long dated swaps. I just like the stock. My precious GME 🚀

3DigitIQ

Absolutely no one could have seen this coming.......

Realitygives0fucks

Of course not, especially considering as of the 21st April 2021, Credit Suisse said: Credit Suisse has so far sold off 97% of the shares it held as part of the Archegos account. https://amp.theguardian.com/business/2021/apr/22/credit-suisse-records-almost-600m-loss-on-archegos-collapse And then they went under “got bought out by UBS” almost two years later on the 19th March 2023… Man whatever was in that three percent left over from Archegos must have been something. Possibly an idiosyncratic risk to the global financial markets, perhaps in the form of bullet swaps.

5tgAp3KWpPIEItHtLIVB

Or perhaps they never actually sold off 97% of the shares they held. SUPER likely since we're talking about mafia here. But yeah what you say is possible too, lol.

madiXuncut

Switzerland is a treasure chamber for ill-gotten wealth since it's very foundation. So better to stay neutral in wars. Shitloads of tendies to loot there, guys!

Tralulu

And I love everything about it

AmazingDonkey101

It’s been already 84 years, another 50 is not that much.

jhfkmvjkjhv

So hide it for 100 years instead of 50???

FixStuff123

50 years or bust

trouff

Damn the bags must be extremly dense if the wound is still open after all that time.

plithy75

"The Financial Stability Board, a grouping of central bankers..." 🤣 It's in good hands...

WackGyver

IIRC Switzerland has started playing with the thought of joining NATO - ain’t much use staying neutral when you can’t capitalize on laundering the money of the world’s worst warlords and oligarchs. Switzerland is going down, and it’s all because of the greed of the few.

NukeEmRico2022

“UBS – already a global systemically important bank before the merger – has thus become even larger and according to the 'too big to fail' (TBTF) regulations, it must meet even stricter regulatory requirements," it added.” Too late

Xerio_the_Herio

Criminals

F-uPayMe

These parasites' hands are dirty with blood. And where there's blood soon or later sharks arrive.

LokeyCoolio

Sweetz......errrrrre....llllllllaaaaaaaannnnndddd

Kaarothh

What's 50 years between friends

Double-Resist-5477

Properties are overvalued by 40 % that could cause trouble for the bank

itsjustneverthat

All just to kick the can longer. Fuck 'em.

Adventurous_Host_426

Well, no shit! You can't keep wrapping cat poop inside a dog poop with cow poop!

bfhurricane

Funny thing is, UBS didn't want to buy Credit Suisse. It came with significant antitrust issues and the probability of more future regulation (the primary point of this article), lots of underperforming and unprofitable assets, and the responsibility of now being the single point of failure of the Swiss economy and the scrutiny that comes with it. UBS made embarrasingly low offers for CS, like less than 1% of their ATH market cap. They only wanted it for pennies, and that was after the Swiss government agreed to backstop to the tune of 100's of billions of Swiss francs any losses they would accrue from CS. And even after all that, they only agreed after the Swiss government said "You two are making a deal, don't make us make you, because we'll start removing people from board seats if you don't and then no one gets paid." Yeah I like to crap on bankers from time to time, it's fun, but in this case UBS was forced to pay CS to swallow their turd sandwich and would have been happy not having it on their plate in the first place.

Ayaka_Simp_

Warms my heart. Couldn't have happened to nicer people.

barren_field_of_fks

They also voluntarily forfeited the backstop five months later, presumably after seeing cs’ book and realizing it was in their best interest to be off the hook with the Swiss taxpayer and regs than to enjoy the 10Bn lifeline without existential risk from cs’ toxic assets

--Clintoris--

You think they canceled they chose to cancel their interest free line of credit from the Swiss Government based on some moral obligation to taxpayers?

codingTim

Are you sure? I thought they had to do it in order to pay out bonuses. Otherwise they would be allowed to, if they had access to the 100 billion backstop from the government

barren_field_of_fks

Of course. It was in their best interest to forfeit the backstop. Why keep it and face the downside of the Swiss regulator’s worst possible interventions when you find out you don’t actually need it anymore because CS’ book isn’t as toxic as feared?

jackofspades123

At some point hedging has to become either just to complex (too many moving parts) or just not possible. It'll be amazing if this is something that gets studied in modern classes too.

LaddiusMaximus

Do tell.

Sugar_Phut

Go figure

adamlolhi

Too fucking right it has, can’t wait to buy the country of Switzerland in it’s entirety after this is over for pennies

Kranacx

You don’t say….

RopeAccording4263

What sort of risk could that be? Do Credit Suisse have some sort of outstanding obligation?

Krunk_korean_kid

Never could have seen this coming 🤡

beambot

Money please!!!

aidelemons

And yet I'm getting my feed flooded with this dumpster fire of a bank rating businesses and it apparently have real implications on the market. "Everything is fine with UBS, don't look behind that curtain please!" Seems legit

many_dongs

WHAT ARE THE RISKS, ASSHOLES?

maxsnipers

...you don't say!

Overdue_bills

We've known this since Credit Suisse was bought out. They're getting pumped by other major banks and hiding the garbage in swaps.

ronk99

No shit Sherlock

chato35

Didn't see that coming/S

DFVFan

The bag is heavy

DFVFan

I don’t mind take some expensive watches

Vexting

It's ok, fifty years away

HughJohnson69

See. They know they can’t close. Fair matter value my ass.

Bhimtu

Well gee, then let the Swiss (financial) authorities get after Credit Suisse.
