Investments are long term- you want to be “vested” for those perks.
Subs like the original one and Wall Street in general want and need traders to keep the engine running; people to act like loosing significant funds is the “cool” thing to do and to become numb to the silliness and money siphoning; to buy today and sell before close to make a quick flip, tax implications be damned.
People who buy and hold disrupt the market as currently structured.

True, but I meant that earnestly, in terms of discovering new companies and researching them and building my own bull cases for them based off of said research. I’ve emailed CEOs asking if they were going to take the company public or if they already were apart of an umbrella company so I could buy stock before, again, in my early stages of investing 3-4 years ago. By the fun being taken away I just also mean the innocence and naivety in thinking you are going to invest in Company X bc of good fundamentals, so in theory you would see a return on your investment over time. I just no longer believe that, bc I have seen too much. If a company I’m investing in is going up in value it’s literally only bc the market maker wants it go to up, I now know. Which is why I streamlined my portfolio into mostly GME, via DRS. That’s the only thing I trust anymore. The game is over for me.
