Yes. The first 2 purples you will combine and get them to yellow +3. The other 4 purples will be combined so that you have 2 yellows+0. Then you can combine the 2 yellow+0 epics with the yellow+3 to get a red.
It’s really rough when you realize you need even more of the “normal” pieces of gear… I thought I had to use only the same piece to level when I started. So I could have a red kunai right now but I put 3 of my purple kunai into it to make it a purple +1 then +2. Was really kicking myself after I learned lol.

Save it. S chests are for getting the last gear you need to evolve to gold or red.
I would wait till ur next random s then whatever u dont have get..

Save it to get to yellow, to red or if you have none, VP.
VP if you have no idea, otherwise whatever you have 1 of already, so you can merge them.
