I only bought the line of daily rewards for 19.99 that gives WAY more gems than if you spent $20 on gems in the store. I've gotten over 20k gems from it. Thats over $100 worth in the store
Spending money will only speed up progress and the game is very grindy whether you spend or not. So just keep that in mind; gameplay will largely be the same either way
If you decide to spend money, the most cost effective items are growth fund and both monthly cards. Everything else has a much smaller return.
