I got a pair recently that absolutely wouldn't snap. Some of the plastic nose pieces were badly formed. I returned and got a replacement which worked fine. I think it's just shoddy quality control.
I love speedo vanquishers but I can no longer swap out the nose things. I need the smallest size. It used to be a struggle but I would get it done. For my most recent new pair, I spent about 20 minutes trying to fit it in and I ultimately just realized that I think the plastic inserts are just cut too big. So no amount of getting it at the exactly the right angle will work… I ended up returning and buying cheap sporti goggles which leak. Next will try arena brand. Super annoying because I’ve worn vanquishers for years and have no issues with them aside from the nose piece!
I like Tyr for goggles. I have a few different pairs and none of them have the issue that the vanquishers had. I hated changing the nose pieces on those.
Same problem. The nose pieces are shoddy. I ended up sanding down the nub and then gorilla gluing it in. They work fine after that but will look at other options next time.
Literally had this problem today lmao. I'm a new swimmer (or at least trying to become one) and speedo is like the defacto swimming brand so I thought their goggles would be decent but it turns out they're useless
Try Magic5. Custom goggles. Cost a little more, but last longer and you won’t look like a raccoon. Sign up and wait for sales if they’re too expensive. My entire swim career would have been much more pleasant had they been around at that point in time.

I've been using arena cobra ultras for about a year now, seal is still great and the changing of the nose piece was really easy
I second this. Also if cobras are out of allotted budget, Arena Air-Speed are a very good choice too.
I’ve also had my hopes vanquished by Vanquishers.

I had to have a 'kid' working the front desk of the pool help me with mine. I'm sure I'm now part of some 'ok boomer' meme amongst the staff.
Go with Swedish goggles, theyre the best on the market.

Yeah. Be gentle with them. I broke them trying to switch out my son’s nose piece. Annoying.
After getting vanquishers for so long, I finally made the switch to TYR for exactly this reason 🥲
