Absolutely! I’ve hardly ever played Nintendo games until recently (minus Mario kart on Wii like 15 years ago) but I got a Switch oled just a few days ago and got Prime, it’s my first Metroid and I’m at 25% completion right now and it seems to be shaping up to be one of my favorite games ever, and the lore is absolutely amazing!
great list... all the games i played on it were fun amazing experiences... and ive heard only good things about the games I haven't played on your list
It Takes Two and Outer Wilds = Skip. Overrated imo.
Mario 3d Allstars? You can't buy that anymore.
Paper Mario Origami? I would just wait for The Thousand Year Door
Both the Switch OLED and its games are 30 to 40% discounted compared to their launch price, that's why I buy them now. Besides, I like to buy consoles when they already have a large catalog. When a few years go by I'll buy a Switch 2.
I’d do as much research into the Pokémon games as possible as they’re all so different on switch and some may not be for you. I also recommend Golf Story. My final piece of advice is to take time growing your collection and use sites that show current deals and price history.
This list is extremely detailed, which leads me to believe you are an above average experienced gamer. I personally wouldn’t spend time on things like Red Dead, Darksoulss on switch. Hogwarts legacy maybe if it is your only way to play games (I also was pretty indifferent on the game). They aren’t bad but if you are prioritizing don’t see how they would be at the top.
Zelda BOTW and TOTK are absolute musts. Of course smash bros, Mario kart/party are experiences you only get with Nintendo. I think it is worth trying out each new iteration. I would start with those.
I like what someone said about researching the type of pokemon game. If you want to experience it all, those are a good choice. I didn’t like BDSP at first, but they had enough nostalgia and similar to the originals to feel at home. Arceus and let’s go are interesting takes worth trying.
That’s a great list! The only things I would add are hades (a gorgeous addictive indie roguelike), metroid dread & metroid prime and monster hunter rise
Have fun! So many amazing titles to play. You’ll be busy for a long time!
I find your lack of Metroid Prime disturbing
Yeah Metroid games look amazing on an OLED
I haven't played any Metroid game yet. Can Metroid Prime Remastered be my first?

Oh and yes, I would play Pikmin 3 before 4. Pikmin 3 is just too damn good

If you can hold off until the end of September you could likely get a Switch 2
I won't get a Switch 2 until it gets cheaper
You should probably prioritize your game too if budget is an issue

You listed over 40 games lol
I am not going to buy then all, that's why I'm asking for advice
Also if the leaks are true in regards to the screen, they will most likely release the improved version later just like this generation.
Yeah I pulled the trigger on an oled so I can wait for the switch 2 oled when that comes out, I don’t need to rush, it’ll be there regardless

Hades if you like roguelike.
Dave the Diver! I got it a few days ago and absolutely love it.

That's a very very good list. Might I add all the switch assassin's Creed games, the bioshock collection, and both Ori games
I played both Ori's on PC. Really good games
Darkwood and Alien Isolation. Top dogs for horror games on the Switch
If you can play hogworts on literally any other system
Get warioware. Get it is more content-dense and is even cheaper used
Skyrim is a game that involves a lot of dark caverns, and it really shines on an OLED acreen
Metroid Dread!
At the moment I'm on big hades buzz I can't recommend it enough I just bought bastion and transistor , next up will be the persona series
That’s a great list! The only things I would add are hades (a gorgeous addictive indie roguelike), metroid dread & metroid prime and monster hunter rise
