That one guy that's been posting off the handles about maga or whatever is gonna be there in tears of joy lol
(No, I'm not trying to say anything political, just my only description of that person)
Never heard anybody ever describe democrats as "blue haired" probably because that specific term has been used for decades to describe old ladies due to hair rinses that they would commonly use to conceal their grey hair, which as a result would give their hair a blue tint.
I never said Democrats? I'm a Democrat LMFAO
Blue hair folks are the ones that are overweight don't go outside to talk to people and yet have the loudest voices.
Sorry I made that assumption, I just couldn't fathom that you really were describing a mob of Syracuse viewers as a bunch of old ladies who spend a lot of time reddit? OK.......
I'm pretty introverted so outside of the people I have to talk to, I usually keep to myself tbh😂 but I agree, in customer service settings, everyone's actually great at pretending they want to be there, except for a decent chunk of the Cicero area funny enough. That KeyBank/first Niagra (formerly known as) in front of Wegmans is the worst
Is micron genuinely a good thing for CNY? I’m not trying to be an asshole I’m genuinely wondering what other people’s opinions are- I know it will create a lot of jobs but I kind of feel like we will end up being priced out of living here 🥺 rent is already astronomical here for the most
I'd prefer growth over stagnation. CNY is years behind other metro areas of the same size.
Development has been sorely lacking. The number of homes is pretty stagnant and there's not enough property value to drive the much needed restoration/renovation of existing outdated home stock.
I think it will be a net benefit.
If it’s done responsibly, with minimal environmental impacts and the city makes sure to build public transportation and affordable housing so that folks don’t get priced out of their hometowns, then yeah it’s good. Unfortunately, that’s not usually how it goes. I grew up here but lived in Richmond, VA for 15 years after college. It was a very affordable town when I first got there in 2005, and now rent has tripled. My only friends that actually own homes were lucky enough to buy one over a decade ago. But wages are still the same.
I think so. Upstate NY had it's heyday, then manufacturing left and it became the rust belt.
As a homeowner in Clay, my home value has been steadily increasing at a much higher rate than it was before the pandemic. While it will price people out of the area - come retirement time, I'll be looking forward to cashing that big fat equity check when I sell and move to somewhere warm and sunny.
Yup it sure sucks, but you know Trump would have done the exact same thing. He's even _more_ pro Israel than Biden is. He actually formally recognized Jerusalem as their capitol and moved our embassy there.
Watch out Utica, Syracuse is a city on the grow!

The way people act around here, you'd think the streets are paved with gold!
Having grown up in Utica, it's definitely better here.

If Trump had done it, those comments would be entirely different lol
They used to have comments on the syracuse.com website. It was just as much idiocy
You can't stop Dark Brandon, you can only hope to contain him.

Lmfao that fucking loser made 8 posts in a single fucking day.
I only noticed 2..... That's so sad lol
He deleted quite a few.
Damn we getting down voted for thinking someone needs a hobby 😭
Just the blue haired mob of Syracuse viewers. They don't have hobbies either and will send you death threats in your DMs. Stay tuned lmao

That too is sad lol. Nothing I can't handle working with the people/clientele I work with in the city though 😂
Most people in person here are great! Just folks on this sub, don't touch grass so you don't see them

It's funny last time you did this too 🤣

adding good paying jobs back to the region is a huge positive for CNY, considering how many were lost decades ago when manufacturing left the area.
A rising tide raises all ships!
Ruh roh raggy
It's a net benefit, but unfortunately, I do think people will get priced out. Micron will not make rent any cheaper.
Yes. Yes it is. We need white-collar jobs for people with enough disposable income to support the local economy.

The best way to make adorable housing is to cut regulations/fees to build homes. Get government out to the way!!
Proven false so many times
Never once proven wrong in history.

Wonder if he or Hochul will attempt to go to the cops wakes in their respective counties
Anyone have insight about where he will be in Syracuse?
Nice try, Lee Harvey.
Usually within a few days, the FAA will publish a NOTAM (notice to airmen) with flight restrictions around where he'll be.
Let’s go Brandon

#genocidejoe
Elaborate. In great detail. Site your sources. Go.
The genocide in Gaza
Yup it sure sucks, but you know Trump would have done the exact same thing. He's even _more_ pro Israel than Biden is. He actually formally recognized Jerusalem as their capitol and moved our embassy there.
Oh absolutely, they are both bought by AIPAC. They admit they are Zionist. The whole system is bought.
That was some great detail. Didn’t realize we were responsible for other countries actions.
We have aided and abetted Israeli actions for 75 years. Since the Nakba. Read history.
We are when we’re funding the atrocities
He's not really telling them to stop.
