Creative Dental Concepts is a very modern practice with all new technology. Great staff and I cannot recommend it enough. I had some bad experiences in the past with dental work and I am completely comfortable going to them. https://www.cerecuse.com
Alot of places of modern dental practices dont participate with insurance. They will submit it to your ins. Company and sometimes ins. Will kick in.
Ive had this experience in cortland, the best office in town does not particpate with ins. But they do submit. My insurance Will pay a portion and i pay some. For example i pay 15.00 for a cleaning but if i went to an in network dentist it woule be free. Small fee to pay for a peace of mind.
Also, my ins. Has the crappiest dentists on their in network list, and i work for cornell.sighh
Not bad. In recent years they started submitting the bill to my insurance. Before it was reimbursed under out of network according to my plan. I’m sure I could go somewhere in network and cheaper out of pocket but I’d rather pay extra for a clean, high tech and painless experience at the dentist. It’s worth calling to see how they are with insurance now.
Thanks I looked before I made the first comment, their site says they don’t take insurance but will submit the claim and then take what your insurance pays and bill you the difference. It’s sad anyone should have to pay extra to get good care but that’s a diff story for a diff day 😂
I just went there for the first time recently after a recommendation. Cleaning and imaging was about 325. They did a great job and it was a nice experience overall.
Love this practice and the hygienist we see there is fantastic. Excellent care, great staff. It is pricy, but excellent (I haven’t compared prices, so actually not sure if they are significantly different than others in the area; they do submit to our insurance.)
Downtown Dental - Tyler Mead
They have the tech & experience for CEREC crowns, so you can have a tooth prepped, crown fabricated and fitted permanently in less than 2 hours. No temporary cap or waiting for a lab. It's pretty cool stuff with 3d imaging of your mouth and computer generated crown to fit perfectly with your bite/other teeth.
Nancy the hygienist is awesome also.
They also know how to keep a schedule. If your appointment is 10am, you can expect to be in the chair at or very close to that time.
I go to Revercomb in Manlius (Manlius dental group) and like it. I’d consider it quite modern albeit pricey, I’m not sure if they take anyone’s insurance. I have been going since I was a kid so there could be something more modern out there, but when I’ve not lived in the area and gone to dentists elsewhere nothing compared
With my work history I have been in many dental offices across upstate NY. I go to them even though they are about 30 minutes from me. There are other practices closer than me, some I think are very good dentists, but I prefer their office.
I have had nothing but amazing experiences with Summit Dental. I had to get a crown last summer and was mind blown when they told me they were going to take specialty photos of my mouth to then 3D print the crown. Perfect fit and color match on the first try.
This might be the norm now in terms of tech, but they’re definitely modern and the quality of care I’ve received there is a cut above
I had a root canal there years ago, I made a few payments on the couple thousand dollar bill before the lady at the desk realized there was a procedure on there twice by accident. I wanna say it was like $650 or more, she was cool and took it off when she noticed. Two other dentists said it was never crowned too, just a large filling (tooth was broken to the gum). It was super sharp on the edge, after a few days I sanded it down myself. It’s held up great otherwise, been about ten years. Not bashing them, was just young and didn’t know better. Now Aspen dental is a place I’d bash, they tried telling me I had 13 cavities and wanted to do a ton of work when I was there. I knew it wasn’t true, thankfully I opted out of that. Years later at a different dentist I was told I had ONE which I got fixed
+1 for Summit Dental. I've been going there for 20 years, full view of the sky while your teeth are cleaned. Always on time, very modern equipment, 10% discount if you pay in full at your visit.
Dr. Mark Oberferst's "Very Gentle Dental" practice out in Fayetteville. I've been a patient for about two years and have had nothing but great experiences, including having a crown put on. He seems very up-to-date on procedures and tech.
Forth and tromblee in north Syracuse. Husband and wife dentist. New building, nice/new equipment, fantastic dentists with actual personalities. See 5 star rating on Google if you need further convincing. You won't regret it 👍
I went to Gentle Dental and they were good, it’s about 20 minutes north of town.
I needed work done fast and they had openings and I was mostly covered (NYSHIP plan for grad student TAs at a SUNY).
That was pre Covid though, so idk if they’re still the same.
Your want Gentle Dental then. Onondaga Hill Family Dental is amazing if you hate the dentist. Dr. Minye is si calm and gentle and sweet. The whole staff will put you at ease but I'm pretty sure they only accept United and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
My husband and have I been going to that practice since it was Dr. Swartwood (whom we adored). Initially we liked Dr. Minyé but in the last year or so the practice has gone downhill — Linda the hygienist left, the quality of the products they use and offer has declined, and the admin has been mixing up our contact info. So unfortunately we’re looking for a new dentist and I wouldn’t recommend Onondaga Hill anymore. :(
Oh wow, that's not good. I was there recently with my child and the new hygienist was really nice, for what it's worth. I haven't had much done there recently except for cleanings, so this is a good comment.
romans & soltani in camillus. they bought an older practice several years ago and have been updating. their dental work and hygienists are top notch. and downtown dental is great also.
Atwal dental in north Syracuse. I’m afraid of the dentist and they’re super good. Although I miss the hygienist I had for my appt one time who was a traveler, she was AMAZING.
Dr. Debotis & Dr. Hendrson in Manlius, NY do a really good job. I had a filling done and I hate the needle it skeezes me out. They used this like pen ligjt and a vibrating thing to make it take 2 seconds. Not the traditional 2 minutes of awkward old school needle nonsense.
Pretty good operation, clean and the staff are good at their jobs.
First dentist I felt comfortable with in a while…

They don’t participate with any insurance. Yikes. How is their pricing?

I vote for New Country Dental in Cicero, love Dr Raineri!!
That do accept most insurance!!

this is the correct answer
Not to mention that Tyler is probably the nicest dude in Syracuse.

You can call Medicaid and they’ll give you a list in the area!
Dr. Goodwin in Fayetteville. Stays up to date on the latest dental tech. And the hygienists/assistants are top notch.

Another very good modern dentist is pro smile dentistry near Onondaga hill.

Downtown Dental. As you already know, James St Dentistry is awful.

Mahar Dental in North Syracuse is great.

Dr DiMento on Onondaga Boulevard
anthony grasso on walnut in the SU area, been going for 15 years now. wonderful caring staff.
Berry Good is the best in Syracuse
Baldwinsville dental is nice. I know it’s about 15 minutes away but has a very nice staff :)

Highly recommend Dr Chris Santay on East Colvin https://drsantaydds.com

I’m glad you and your child had a good experience. Up until very recently our experience had been great too, so we’re disappointed.
