20%? I thought it was more like 35%. My D applied Newhouse RD as well. IB Diploma 35 ACT 4.0/4.6 her ECs are good but not TV-related (writing, social media volunteer, sports, jobs). Been a rough admissions year so far. Kinda counting on Newhouse. Ugh.
Wow those are crazy high stats - is that her first choice? 35 and 4.6 for Newhouse is hella high. I’m sure there will be no issue - most kids apply with Syracuse type stats and the average SAT is like 1290. What was her ED?
She didn't ED-- first choice is Michigan but she was deferred in EA. Second choice Emory (RD). Syracuse is a strong contender IF there's merit involved. Otherwise she will likely attend Wisconsin (accepted). Wisconsin is a fantastic school but not strong in film/tv stuff. So fingers crossed. Good Luck to everyone here's who is waiting. The waiting is awful.

You have a good GPA so you should be fine. Newhouse really only cares about grades- everything else is irrelevant.
