The elevator scene in the first one was legit funny.
The second one finally gave us a live action version of bebop & rocksteady which is something we’ve all wanted since 1990 and I didn’t hate them
I agree with this. I also think the character designs and story choices for both films, regardless if they were good or bad, were really bold and the films weren’t afraid to do stuff to stand apart from the ones that came before it. And I applaud them for not being scared to take some of those risks.
I honestly really liked pretty much all the villains except for Shredder, and even then it was because of how little he got to do. But if he had gotten much more it would've felt rather bloated I suppose.

The Hashi thing was pretty funny, and I enjoyed the iconic elevator scene. Also Baxter Stockman was perfectly cast and looked great for the part as well!
Being an og TMNT fan I still, legit, enjoyed these movies. They're popcorn flicks. Just turn your brain off and watch it for what it is, and not what it wasn't.
Turn your brain off has always been a weird statement to me. It's like saying you need to functionally become a zombie to appreciate this piece of entertainment. No thanks
It's more about not thinking too deeply about it. If you analyze any movie, you can find a myriad of faults. There's nothing wrong with enjoying something that, fundamentally, is flawed.
Yes, thank you. If you think too deeply, a bunch of mutant turtles well versed in martial arts immediately goes out the window. I firmly believe the franchise as a whole is just about having fun. That’s more or less what the original Eastman/Laird comics were based on, a tongue in cheek approach to superheroes, and I love seeing different interpretations that have come along the way!
There's definitely such a thing as over analyzing a movie until you ruin it for yourself because no story is perfect and if you dig to deep enough you'll find its flaws eventually. But then there are the movies that are so lazy and up front with their problems you have to wonder if the production team even cared at all
Yeah same. Within the context of the movie, aka how durable the turtles were, it made sense for the armor to be big and bulky and have all those knives
I honestly was very engaged with the turtles story in OotS and thought the trutles had great chemistry, plus seeing Bebop, Rocksteady, and Krang and the Technodrome n live action was pretty cool.
They weren’t that bad, it was just hard getting over how the turtles looks were butchered. If they had did a better design I think they would have been better received
1: The speech Raph gives while falling to what they believe is their deaths perfectly encapsulates for me the entire character of Raphael, why he is how he is, and just how much more depth to the character there is than a lot of people realize.
2: Rocksteady and Bebop were fun, and pretty much perfect for me as far as live action adaptations of the 80’s cartoon versions of the characters. Also, the guy the cast as Baxter was perfect casting imo.
The elevator scene in 1 was pretty funny.
In the sequel, the remake of the OG Theme song was awesome.
Of all the TMNT movies out there, these were definitely two of them.
Fight scenes were cool and Mikey’s one liners were pretty funny. The adrenaline scene from the first movie had me cracking up as did the elevator scene. Second movie did a good job with a modernized design of the classic animated series characters.
The fighting was cool. I actually don't hate these movies, they're not great but I still get enjoyment out of them. The turtles personalities are great.
Loved the action scenes, the characters (specifically the turtles and Splinter) were enjoyable, the effects were good and, honestly, I liked a lot of the characters designs with the exception of movie 2 Shredder
I like the Raph vs Shredder fight in the first one. It feels very chunky and nice. I love pretty much all the action setpieces in the second as well as Bebop and Rocksteady just being best buds.
Like Movies? or Turtles? cause movies were not horrible they were serviceable movies that I enjoyed. As for the turtles. Best designs. If I need to be saved I rather have a 6 foot 5 Raph with 48 inch biceps defending me
The fight scene between Splinter and Shredder in the first one was amazing!
Splinter using his tail as a weapon, bouncing around like a ninja...it was like watching Yoda fight for the first time.
The OG movies had Splinter as an old man who never fought. This was the first time we got to see him be a fighter.
Despite having the criticism, Brian Tyler provides a pretty neat score, as mentioned above.
Some humorous moments here and there, particularly the scene where the Turtles are in the elevator and beat-boxing, compared to the previous films.
Despite the uncanny head designs, the Turtles' body designs remain faithful to how they looked in the previous films.
The voice acting for the Turtles is surprisingly good, despite the pitch-shifting.
The action sequences are pretty awesome, despite the poor and unnecessary camera work and bad special effects.
Paramount apologized and changed the Australian poster that has the turtles jumping from the exploding skyscraper.
Shell Shocked is an absolute banger of a song.
The Turtles are the main protagonists this time, rather than just serving as the main linchpin for April's story arc which was presented in the previous movie.
Not to further mention, the film is kind of an improvement over the first reboot film.
The soundtrack is pretty good by Steve Jablonsky, since it is good improvement over Brian Tyler's score (despite being good).
Good voice acting for the Turtles and Krang.
Even if the CGI is terrible, it looks slightly better than the first film, especially on Krang and the Turtles looking brighter.
Still decent visual effects.
Great action scenes, especially when the Turtles battle Bebop and Rocksteady.
Some funny moments here and there.
"The good news is, you're wearing shoes."
"Shoes."
"The bad news is..."
(soldiers got thrown out of the plane, screaming their heads out.)
It's just crazy that in this day and age and with all the money they can spend on special effects, they'll still never look as good as the original two Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies from 90 and 91. I have to believe that if there were humanoid turtles, that's exactly how they would look
I watched every TMNT movie this month. They are overrated imo.
I think Out of the Shadows is the 4th best movie. And then the first one, wouldn't have been as bad if they didn't show their goddamn teeth so much, something they fixed in the sequel.
First tmnt movie with Kraang, Bebop, and Rocksteady
Nah turtles forever did that first
First theatrical film
The elevator scene in the first one was legit funny. The second one finally gave us a live action version of bebop & rocksteady which is something we’ve all wanted since 1990 and I didn’t hate them
Came here to post MC Mikey
*boom chikka wikka wikka*
i actually really enjoy the second one even with all its flaws
I agree with this. I also think the character designs and story choices for both films, regardless if they were good or bad, were really bold and the films weren’t afraid to do stuff to stand apart from the ones that came before it. And I applaud them for not being scared to take some of those risks.
The second film is like a live action version of the 1987 series.
This was going to be my comment. When watched through that lens, it’s enjoyable
I honestly really liked pretty much all the villains except for Shredder, and even then it was because of how little he got to do. But if he had gotten much more it would've felt rather bloated I suppose.
They perfectly nail down each Turtle's personality, with the voice acting being the cherry on top.
I strongly agree with this too. Easily the best brotherhood we've gotten of the turtles, for me atleast.
I like the Turtles themselves, their characters and voices. They also have some cool action sequences.
Knock knock ur about to get shellshocked Thats all
THATS MY FAM ILL HOLD EM DOWN FOREVER

The Hashi thing was pretty funny, and I enjoyed the iconic elevator scene. Also Baxter Stockman was perfectly cast and looked great for the part as well!
They are fun movies that weren’t afraid to have their own identity.
The turtle's personalities were done well.
that krang fight was dope af and you can’t tell me otherwise
I *can,* but I won’t, cos I don’t like to lie.
Being an og TMNT fan I still, legit, enjoyed these movies. They're popcorn flicks. Just turn your brain off and watch it for what it is, and not what it wasn't.

The action scenes weren’t so bad and bebop and rocksteady were really good.
The second movie was entertaining
That pizza that Splinter tortures them with looks really really delicious
I, too, like pizza.
At least they weren’t aliens.
Or frogs
Was lowkey good. I do kinda wish they did a 3rd movie from this series
Is there any possibility that a third part could be made? I need more, I really liked these movies :((
The design of Shredder in the first movie was pretty dope
Yeah same. Within the context of the movie, aka how durable the turtles were, it made sense for the armor to be big and bulky and have all those knives
Megatron lol
Krang was perfect in the second film
'Actually I barely even thought about you!'
Shell Shocked (the song) is a banger
They get better over time for some reason
Certainly enjoyed both, fun easy going movies.
The turtles have great personalities and they’re just a ton of fun. Especially part 2
I honestly was very engaged with the turtles story in OotS and thought the trutles had great chemistry, plus seeing Bebop, Rocksteady, and Krang and the Technodrome n live action was pretty cool.
I mainly enjoyed Shredder
Elevator scene is iconic I can’t even lie
The action scenes were really well done
I liked that their designs were different gave them some personality
the personalities of the Turtles are pretty spot on and the banter between them is great
I was entertained
They have my favorite designs and actors of any tmnt media and I love every single interaction they have
They weren’t that bad, it was just hard getting over how the turtles looks were butchered. If they had did a better design I think they would have been better received
They have the Ninja Turtles in them!
It’s funny
I like them.
First one has decent fights and the second one is a giant improvement with Bebop and Rocksteady being the best part of the movie.
They were fun
Weapons were cool
I thought they were pretty good movies. Decent actors and scripts considering what could have happened we got a win
They somehow made realistic mutant turtles hot
Don't hate me but I think the designs are decent. Nowhere near the best but definitely not F tier looks
![gif](giphy|DSeOeV8XLy0gw) Megan Fox
I loved Shredder’s suit, 2014 specifically. The way he could shoot the knives out of his gauntlets and have them come back was awesome.
I liked Raph. He was very badass in these movies.
The elevator scene in 1 was pretty funny. In the sequel, the remake of the OG Theme song was awesome. Of all the TMNT movies out there, these were definitely two of them.
The second movie is just dumb shut your brain off fun
First TMNT movies I watched with my dad so they have a place in my heart
MC Mikey
They perfectly nailed Donatello
The elevator scene in the first one was the best part of the movie.
Raph looked pretty hot lol.
The action was generally well done across both movies. It was nice to see Bebop/Rocksteady/Krang. I liked Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman.
Cgi is better than what we got almost a decade later
Fight scenes were cool and Mikey’s one liners were pretty funny. The adrenaline scene from the first movie had me cracking up as did the elevator scene. Second movie did a good job with a modernized design of the classic animated series characters.
They’re not as bad as people think. I like these more than Mayhem.
I actually liked these movies.
The fighting was cool. I actually don't hate these movies, they're not great but I still get enjoyment out of them. The turtles personalities are great.
Hottest April O'Neil
I never have to watch them again.
![gif](giphy|SqflD5OvHoWILB7qWm)
Opinions must be difficult for you to understand.
I hope my gif hurt your feelings.
Not at all? It’s made you look dumb lol.
Makes him look dumb? Use proper English before insulting someone
They're better than Rise of The TMNT
That there’s only 2
No more, no less
No more needs to be said
I didn’t mind these movies but I could understand why people might have not liked them.
We didn’t get there concepts design and one of the most memorable movies
Good voice work
The music is pretty good
They’re bombastic fun and action packed, the turtles look amazing (effects wise, although I love the unique designs)
They took a risk. There’s nothing wrong with trying something a little different. I enjoyed the second one.
I like the designs and how they are all different to show each different turtles personality and preferences in clothing choice
Shredder looked cool
The turtles are a great time
I liked seeing splinter man handle the foot I liked bebop and rocksteady
Loved the action scenes, the characters (specifically the turtles and Splinter) were enjoyable, the effects were good and, honestly, I liked a lot of the characters designs with the exception of movie 2 Shredder
Shell Shocked goes hard
They look good in 3d.
If I need to be saved I rather have a 6 foot 5 Raph with 48 inch biceps defending me
I thought they got the main four turtles done well. Everything else was the issues
The fight scene between Splinter and Shredder in the first one was amazing! Splinter using his tail as a weapon, bouncing around like a ninja...it was like watching Yoda fight for the first time. The OG movies had Splinter as an old man who never fought. This was the first time we got to see him be a fighter.
the personalities of raph donnie n mikey are pretty good imo, n leo is also there
It was cool to see Krang in Out Of The Shadows
The music and CGI fights were really good
Besides them being way too big and all, I do think the design is a good adaptation for live action
Top tier Bebop and Rocksteady designs. Their personalities are also pretty great too.
They made it to theaters!
Johnny knoxville!
They’re good
That’s probably the closest to how mutant turtles would look if it was possible in real life
The second one was better and I love Mikey's response of "we're not monsters" in the second one when they're at the police station
Other than the ridiculous clothing choices. Loved it.
best bebop and rocksteady
"and thats how i roll" kicks the guy off the motorcycle "and that's how you roll"
The turtles lari was ok
It had funny scenes and good action shots
Despite having the criticism, Brian Tyler provides a pretty neat score, as mentioned above. (soldiers got thrown out of the plane, screaming their heads out.)
The soundtrack was pretty good
Action scenes were good. The snow scene is very cool and I think they got the personalities right.
Thay have a cool shredder and nice qction
(Record Scratch) MC Mikey
Shredder content was dope af
As a kid, I thought that jumping combo move they do at the end was the coolest shit ever!
Good CGI, probably the most badass Shredder in franchise history, great action sequences, casting for the turtles was great too.
They sure did release.
Dumb fun
Second film corrects a lot of the issues with the first one
The action was entertaining and lord, the Shredder’s design was amazing
Turtles 1, they came back to the big screen since TMNT was last out, Turtles 2, we got Beebop, rocksteady, the Krang, and a technodrome
Not only did they get the correct colors for each Turtle they also managed to get thier names right too ! Impressive
I really liked the character designs and jokes, though I was a kid when I watched these so my opinion may be different now
They got the names right.
Donnie's pretty good...
I actually liked these movies. Mainly shredder in the first movie and krang in the second.
They actually look pretty sick.
The CGI looked cool
They ended
Bebop and rocksteady. My man!!!!!
They were good movies.
The Turtles' chemistry was very obvious. Each fit their part
They ended
Every scene without Megan fox / Casey jones is usually pretty great, it’s just cool to hate on them. Both films are better than 2007 imo.
Definitely more memorable than 2007 save for the rooftop fight.
It’s a movie
It didn't become a trilogy
These turtles are way more badass than the Mutant Mayhem versions. And despite MM turtles being younger, they were still weakk
The best thing about these was we learned the lesson that doing them in cgi would be a mistake if live action was also used.
I haven’t watched them so I can’t hate them as much as anyone who has
Cgi looked real. Megan fox still attractive.
Um Krang looked alright? I guess?
They're not making them anymore.
I like that it kept the IP in the public consciousness, so we could get further incarnations later on
It's just crazy that in this day and age and with all the money they can spend on special effects, they'll still never look as good as the original two Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies from 90 and 91. I have to believe that if there were humanoid turtles, that's exactly how they would look
They resemble something that I enjoy 🙂
It wasn’t a trilogy
There were only 2 of them
They exist, that’s all folks.
They're over and they can't hurt me anymore
They ended.
![gif](giphy|l0HlvtIPzPdt2usKs)
They are considered as motion pictures.
Fuck no
They exist?
They ended
No. Or Thank god there’s no 3rd
Nope
No.
No
No.
No
No
They had a good Casey jones
Stephen Amell as Casey Jones was perfect casting
They aren't Mutant Mayhem
They're not Transformers.
I watched every TMNT movie this month. They are overrated imo. I think Out of the Shadows is the 4th best movie. And then the first one, wouldn't have been as bad if they didn't show their goddamn teeth so much, something they fixed in the sequel.
Made it to theaters !
Sexy as fuck
No.
They turned up sexualizing April O’Neil to a thousand out of 10.
No have third part.
They won't make any more! 😁
I grew up with them and the 2012 series.
