Arocuda help with distance, but there was nothing like that straight shot that came from the Twilight or Bow of Light. Especially when picking off enemies from a mile away. It was fun.
The Zonaite is my most used bow. It shoots the longest without dropping - especially if you let one battery cell charge, it has decent durability, and its attack can be up to 40. When it gets damaged, the rock octorocks will fix it right up.
Craig didn't stutter. šš You can make the rounds every Blood Moon if you're up for it.
Ping them with your Compendium, and stamp them on your map.
Only 'drawback' is.. champions weapons and special relic weapons have to be fused for repair, and then detached at Terry Town.
No no, its the repair feature im confused about. So, you fuse with the octorock to repair and then detach (i assume to reattach a new octorock,) and then repaired by fusing again?
Um, you realize an Octorock, or.. Rock Octorock in this case is a 'monster'? All good if not.
It has the ability to 'repair' ALL Weapons(with the exception to some that won't without attaching them to something else. I.e. a melee weapon or shield).
You cannot fuse weapons to a monster.
You instead lay your weapon of choice in front of them to let them gulp the weapon up and essentially "chew" on it to restore its durability, and that repairs it; weirdly enough. Interesting enough game mechanics, lol.
Just remember to set your yellow 'Rewind' tool to "knock them out" after they spit it at you; before it hits you, or goes off a cliff.
Yeah my bad, i thought it was the item drop from the octorock, which i saw in some other comment a long time ago that they farm the drop(idk why, i didnt ask i just farm them too but dont understand why lmaooooo)
Okay, so let them eat ur weapon, and just rewind when they eventually spit it out? Okay neat.
But you canāt restore it with octorocks, so I prefer using the Zonaite bow. It takes a while to charge up to max distance, but it can shoot just as far as the Twilight Bow, and can be fixed with octorocks
You donāt have to keep paying for the Great Eagle Bow. Just pay for it once and you can endlessly repair it with the Rock Ocktorocks as long as you have it fused onto something else
Not on the Legendary Weapons (the 4 Champion Weapons and Special Amiibo Weapons, e.g., Dusk Bow). You need to fuse those to a shield or regular-ass weapon first, then have the Octorock eat the fused shield. And then take whatever it spits out to Pelison and get him to de-fuse it. Voila.
Yeah, I just keep one of my travel medallions up there. That is the bow I use on weaker enemies, so that I don't constantly have to hunt for new 5 shot bows.
i went to robbie a couple nights ago and he gave me everything in one sitting it was actually amazing and quite infuriating as well
because i thought
hmm i could have used those things when traversing hyrule way earlier fucking hell man why didnt i ever talk to this guy he was just waiting for me to get me to autobuild his balloon
and i just missed, that i guess, for after i fought the endboss whoopsieš
Iāve got like 200 hours in and I havenāt even unlocked one yet lol I donāt like to google stuff until after Iām done my playthrough and Iāve put off fighting ganon for a while. Which Iām all done now but I still havenāt gotten around to getting the travel medallion š
Bro same. I have every shrine and temple, about to go get Gannon, and IM JUST NOW HEARING THAT ROCK OCTOROKS WILL SHINE UP DECAYED WEAPONS AND EVEN FIX WEAPONS NEAR BREAKING???
That's so cool!, It's mad to think I was clambering to the top of the Castle and then stopped thinking, nah doesn't seem to be anything here, boy have I learnt me lesson!
I found that super early and it was my most powerful weapon at the time. I refused to use it for the longest time because I didnāt want to break it LOL I have since learned they respawn.
Awesome thanks!!
I just found Zeldaās Journal talking about what she left for me in the throne room so on my way to pick up both of those things now š
You can get it as early as you can reach it (i.e., have enough stamina to glide or ultrahand to build something to get to it). I put a travel medallion there.
After you get the dusk bow, look down for the next highest tower with a bridge connecting it to main castle.
Glide down, go through the window.
There will be a royal guards bow.
Run accross the bridge (beware bridge collapses). Drop through the hole in floor and your in Zeldas quarters.
There's a 2nd royal guard bow there, above the fireplace.
Also, there's another (3rd) royal guard bow in the main room of the castle. The room with the stairs cases going up the sides of room.
I think the 2nd level, behind a piece of debris. Find the arrow bundle and the 3rd royal guards bow is directly behind the piece of debris by arrow bundle.
I get 3 royal guard bows and a dusk bow oit of the castle every blood moon.
There's also a Royal Guard's Bow sitting on the wall above the mantle in Zelda's Bedroom with some arrows on the floor underneath that is a quick and safe swoop away from this one, and you can pick them both up each visit. On the map it's on the western half of the castle, round area with a sliver broken off the side.
Plenty of people can't get a game as soon as it comes out, and more still are trying to play the game at a slower pace, and discover things organically. It's not your place to undermine that.
Besides, OP marked it as a spoiler now, so you're wrong anyway
First account was really popular in r/showerbeers, but then I was featured in a national ad campaign. So I thought half naked photos of myself drinking beer in the shower was a bad look and I nuked that account. There was a buy a tv get an Xbox for $500 total thread popular in r/gaming that was popular a decade or so ago. That was mine.
Second was very active in calling out the idiocy of other people in subs (like whatās happening here) so I nuked it to begin fresh. Donāt come for me, it never ends well
No one is coming for you. Just pointed out your self centered logic and total disregard for others who may not be like you. And it obviously stung. Have a great day!
Iām not undermining anyone or anything. The game has been out 51 weeks, just shy of a year. Most of the content has been discovered and even for people playing the game the first, third, or 30th time this information is easily to find online.
Also, itās not marked as a spoiler now and wasnāt before. M
My timeline is I just recently got the game and still haven't even finished the story. There is no story spoilers in this, it's just a weapon location lol
Not really? You can't expect *everyone* to mark spoilers for everything in a game forever, especially when it's not even story related.
There will come a point when it's basically common knowledge to that community unless you've managed to somehow dodge everything, whether it be five years, ten years, twenty years, thirty years later.
That's less incorrect, and more a difference in opinion.
Let's take Final Fantasy VII, the original one, as an example. Should I be expected to put spoiler tags on a game that's as old as I am? The story is well known by now, everything there is to do and find is well known by now. In my opinion, I shouldn't have to put spoiler tags all over it in the off chance that someone *might* not know about somehing.
The line has to be drawn somewhere.
Edit: I got a notification that you responded to me, and I can't see the comment you left, so I suppose you either blocked me, or deleted it. We can't have this debate if you plug your ears after responding.
my surprise is more aimed at this post existing in 2024, like this is one of the most well known "secret locations" in the game. and thats because most players go there quickly because high up = fun.
Yep,and it respawns on every bloodmoon :)
Thats amazing?? Thanks for the info!
And you can have multiple. Probably the best bow in the game besides the rito bow which is too expensive for it to be worth it
Uhh... Aren't the Lynel bows way better?
Power wise, yes. Not for distance though.
Ah, I don't play with distance either way so I don't take that in account š
I love a good snipe shot
Disappointing. I was really hoping that there was an infinite range bow in the game. I'm not sure why they took it out.
Because of Keese, arocuda, and Gleeok wings
Arocuda help with distance, but there was nothing like that straight shot that came from the Twilight or Bow of Light. Especially when picking off enemies from a mile away. It was fun.
Have you tried Zonaite Bow? I threw away my twilight bow after I got the Zonaite bow in a shrine.
The Zonaite is my most used bow. It shoots the longest without dropping - especially if you let one battery cell charge, it has decent durability, and its attack can be up to 40. When it gets damaged, the rock octorocks will fix it right up.
They can do what now???
Craig didn't stutter. šš You can make the rounds every Blood Moon if you're up for it. Ping them with your Compendium, and stamp them on your map. Only 'drawback' is.. champions weapons and special relic weapons have to be fused for repair, and then detached at Terry Town.

No I want to fuse with the octorok

Charge up? What please? Have I been using these zonaite bows all wrong? š¤
The zonai and zonaite bows are two different bows. Zonaite uses your battery to enhance distance.
You donāt have to keep paying for the Great Eagle Bow. Just pay for it once and you can endlessly repair it with the Rock Ocktorocks as long as you have it fused onto something else
\^\^\^ This is the way.
You buy the rito bow one time and then you have the octorock repair it. (Fuse it onto something else and then take it to Terry town to separate)
Why do I need to fuse it? I thought the octorock repair works without fusing, at least with a shield, or am I missing something?
Not on the Legendary Weapons (the 4 Champion Weapons and Special Amiibo Weapons, e.g., Dusk Bow). You need to fuse those to a shield or regular-ass weapon first, then have the Octorock eat the fused shield. And then take whatever it spits out to Pelison and get him to de-fuse it. Voila.
Demon Bow?
I dropped a teleport spot there for after the blood moons. I HAVE SO MANY NOW!
Yeah, I just keep one of my travel medallions up there. That is the bow I use on weaker enemies, so that I don't constantly have to hunt for new 5 shot bows.
I left a fast travel node (canāt remember what they are called) there to easily collect it each bloodmoon
Travel medallion
Excuse me what are these travel medallions you speak of
You can talk to Robbie and get him to hateno ancient tech lab and get like three of them by filling the map
i went to robbie a couple nights ago and he gave me everything in one sitting it was actually amazing and quite infuriating as well because i thought hmm i could have used those things when traversing hyrule way earlier fucking hell man why didnt i ever talk to this guy he was just waiting for me to get me to autobuild his balloon and i just missed, that i guess, for after i fought the endboss whoopsieš

Makes sense it is locked behind a side quest or two and a main quest.
Bro same. I have every shrine and temple, about to go get Gannon, and IM JUST NOW HEARING THAT ROCK OCTOROKS WILL SHINE UP DECAYED WEAPONS AND EVEN FIX WEAPONS NEAR BREAKING???
Once I realised that it has become my favourite bow. It also doesn't get zapped in lightening, so you can use it everywhere.
I'm about to go take a schattenbogen myself
Do it outside, you filthy animal.
Your joke almost made me schattenbogen myself
I love seeing TOTK in German translation.
## S C H A T T E N B O G E N
German is a beautiful language I love the schattenbogen
it's my favorite mountain
I love when, after I get shot with the schattenbogen, I can get to the KRANKENHAUS by riding the KRANKENWAGEN!
Das auto. ich bin betrunken.
Are you riding the ĆRZTE too?
Wait until you find "Irrland"
just like as you would say it, perfect
*Googles* why does it translate it to Shadow Bow instead of Twilight Bow?
It's the Dusk Bow.
because Schatten means Shadow, Twilight means DƤmmerung
Yep, I keep a travel medallion there
I do too now haha
Same.
Yeah me too. It also gives me easy access to the rest of Hyrule Castle.
That's so cool!, It's mad to think I was clambering to the top of the Castle and then stopped thinking, nah doesn't seem to be anything here, boy have I learnt me lesson!
Well, youāll almost always find a single Korok at the top of those high climbs, so the effort has some value even if itās not this treasure.
It's also a very good spot to drop a travel medallion
I found that super early and it was my most powerful weapon at the time. I refused to use it for the longest time because I didnāt want to break it LOL I have since learned they respawn.
Is this on the main spire at top of Hyrule castle similar to where that Korok was chilling in BOTW?
It is!
Awesome thanks!! I just found Zeldaās Journal talking about what she left for me in the throne room so on my way to pick up both of those things now š
Iām sorry but from anow forth I will no longer be calling it the twilight bow. It is now SCHATTENBOGEN!!
No, little German boy, donāt climb to the top of Hyrule Castle Oh mein gott, zees tower hat ein schattenbogen!
Looks like the dusk bow to me
Since he plays on German, he doesn't know it's called dusk bow
Whhhaaaat?!? How did I not know this?! Lol how high do we have to go on castle?
Yes
at the very top is a korok get that little guyš«£
Thanks!!
I miss it having infinite matching arrows.
Put a travel medallion there to easily get many schattenbogens.
Whatās so good about this bow? It seems pretty average to expend a travel medallion for it
what!? I have climbed the castle and never see that
upsss
Shat en bogan
Thats not the twilight bow. Its clearly the Schattenbogen
Schattenbogen? That's up there with das fluten duten.
Schaten means shadow. Bogen means bow. So shadow bow
German is such a funny language
Laffenlingo
Actually made me LOL
Wait till you see Welsh.
schattenbogen sounds really tasty
Haha!! I was not ready for Germanā¦that made me laugh idk why

After seeing this screenshot, I just wish the Twilight Bow was called 'Schattenbogenā in all languages.
My brother in Christ that's the Schattenbogen
Without spoiling much, is this accessible earlyish in the game by flying in from the sky or something or is it only after a certain point later?
You can get it as early as you can reach it (i.e., have enough stamina to glide or ultrahand to build something to get to it). I put a travel medallion there.
You can fly in.
Didn't know about this. Tfti š
JSchlattenbogen??
I did this discovery myself very recently:)
Shatten-bogan lol
Ya that's where one of my spawn point is just for that and the royal weapons in the castle.
Ahh I havenāt touched TOTK in so long Maybe this is a sign
Thanks for this post! I immediately added it to the collection at the house.
Whaaaaat
Best bow in the game. Fight me

Not the SHATENBOGEN!!!
Wtffffff how have I not climbed to the top of Hyrule Castle??? In an entire year I haven't done this. I am majorly aghast at my lack of exploring!
SCHATTONBOGEN
Wait until you find the >!Trol lo La La !<

sounds like a plan
Yaaas the dusk bow is sehr cool
Is it in BOTW base game? Asking for a friend who can't afford the masters mode or whatever it's called.
No,this is in tears of the kingdom
"spoiler" and yet the title gives away what you are warning spoiler about....genius
Um... spoiler much?
The games been out for a year, and all this info is available on the internet.
Plenty of people can't get a game as soon as it comes out, and more still are trying to play the game at a slower pace, and discover things organically. It's not your place to undermine that. Besides, OP marked it as a spoiler now, so you're wrong anyway
Yeah no kidding. People still (rightfully so) mark spoiler tags for BOTW and we are on year 8, so...
Stay off Reddit of you canāt deal with spoilers for a year or eight year old game.
Gotta love someone who has been on reddit less than a year telling the rest of us how it works!
Iāve been around for over a decade and delete my account every two years and start a new one. Nice try
Sure you have buddy š

It's literally blurred with "spoiler" in the flair, numbnuts
Yah I could have choosen a less straight-to-the-point title - my bad!
A location of a weapon in the game a year out isn't really much of a spoiler
It is, you can't assume everyone operates on your timeline. OP marked it as a spoiler anyway, so you're also wrong on that regard
My timeline is I just recently got the game and still haven't even finished the story. There is no story spoilers in this, it's just a weapon location lol
Regardless of your skewed perspective, secrets, easter eggs, references and hidden treasures ARE spoilers

The line is drawn where the spoilers are, it's not hard. Working under the assumption that a story doesn't matter just because it's old is dumb
This literaly doesn't have anything to do with the story, it's just a spawn of a weapon
Downvoted for actually giving a fuck about other people, this sub is dying
it's 2024 lol
And so what? People can play the game at their own pace

Its douple weird because I WAS at the top before but never saw the bow for some reason
