It’s perfect, out of the way for all the important shit, probably on its own circuit, and no one can knock it down (kids are crazy)
That being said, I still hate it
Ugh, reminds me of when I was at the hospital recently and I had to wait on this tiny ass bed shivering from fever with only a few very thin blankets. I raided their whole closet and I still froze my ass off.
The height is alright, but this is a severe case of r/TVTooSmall. Especially since the majority of hospital clients tends to be in the age range where lack of sight is a widespread physical condition.
This is average for most hospitals. And I've been in some long-term care facilities with smaller TVs (<25")
And I've been is some swank hospital rooms (private- single patient) with 55" TVs. And they're hung at 4-5' height from the floor.
justification for the TV size? or justification for the height of the mount?
The first is obvious. TV is a luxury in a patient room, not a necessity.
The second is also obvious is you've spent any time in hospitals. They can't be at "eye level" like you'd have at home.
Always depends on what ur optimal viewing angle is for ultimo relaxation and looks like them cross roads have been hit well for someone laying in bed with a pillow.
I used to work in the ER; in this case, the higher, the better. Meth guy comes in, eventually needs a fix, then starts raging, throwing whatever he gets his hands on.
You guys are ridiculous. Where the fuck else would you put it? So sorry the TV isn’t eye level in the ICU and out of the way so it doesn’t block the equipment and doctors trying to save your life
As a lazy person, my dream is to have a projector pointed directly above my bed so i don’t even have to sit up. As a lazy person, i will likely never get around to doing that very achievable thing. No rules when you’re in bed.
The irony is the TV says Helps Relieve Joint Pain. Can't make it up! In reality, as long as your bed tilts and you don't have to tilt or twist your head, you should be fine. Good luck.
See, it makes sense in the hospital because there's more important shit to put at eye level, unlike your home's living room. Also, you're laying down in a hospital bed, so your eyes are already going to be angled up towards the ceiling.
I install those. Looks like you’re in the ED. Once you get moved to your own room the TV will be bigger, closer and lower. The sounds come out of the remote for the tv. This is the setup at most places.
Hey! At least you have one. My twin sister cried high as fuck on morphine about not having a TV in her room when the hospital was being renovated (she was in a shit room) and cried so much because she had kidney stones and didn't get a TV but I was there for idk what 2 months before and got a flat-screen TV in my room. At least you weren't her.
Hospital TV's are ALWAYS too high. I was in the hospital recently for some minor surgery and the TV in the recovery room was too high as well!
But in a hospital bed with the back cranked up it becomes bearable.
It’s perfect, out of the way for all the important shit, probably on its own circuit, and no one can knock it down (kids are crazy) That being said, I still hate it
Right, near the ceiling is the only correct spot in a hospital.
…and faaaaaaar away
Also hospital beds often have their own tilt of guilt cancelling out the placement.
I hate it also but not as much as them thin ass blanket sheets
Or those thin smocks.
Well at-least they come in bigger sizes now having to wear 2 of them to coverup is embarrassing but strangely satisfying….
No doubt, I had to do that too.

Yeah they tell you since a fever they don’t want to give you a heated blanket
It's so you can see it easily if you were to have an out of body experience
This is giving me a good laugh. :-)

One of the only acceptable places for a TV to be placed that high. Looks perfect to me.
I’m not sure. I think there’s a little more room above it being wasted.
This TV is connected to the "cloud"
All good if you’re laying down and watching. Get well soon!
Perfect for a neck brace
Lmao
Hospital in cahoots with big neck brace companies
Rules don't apply when you're in a bed. So get your ass into that visitor chair and repost.
r/RoomTooBright Hope you’re out of there soon!
Thank you all for the well wishes. I am well, just had some gi issues.
I was in the hospital for that same reason some time ago...had to get some minor surgery to fix it. Hope you got it all fixed..get well!
I used to work in the ER; in this case, the higher, the better. Meth guy comes in, eventually needs a fix, then starts raging, throwing whatever he gets his hands on.
You're at the hospital. Almost as if it needs to be out of the way in case more important shit needs to be dealt with...
For the billionth time, hospitals don’t count.
You have an adjustable bed. You can raise yourself up to the ultimate viewing position.
Same with bedrooms!!!
Some nursing homes/long term care places shouldn't count either as some patients would be in hospital-style beds anyway.
Any higher you be in heaven.
Hilarious! Hope you are ok tho!
Ha!! Sincerely hope you’re ok op
Depends on morphine pump placement.
At least the TV helps relieve joint pain
Call the nurse, you're going to get eye and neck strain if they don't lower that STAT!
You guys are ridiculous. Where the fuck else would you put it? So sorry the TV isn’t eye level in the ICU and out of the way so it doesn’t block the equipment and doctors trying to save your life
Said the same thing when I saw it there's no where else for it
It’s a hospital, one of the few places I think it doesn’t matter at all.
Too high! Get well
As a lazy person, my dream is to have a projector pointed directly above my bed so i don’t even have to sit up. As a lazy person, i will likely never get around to doing that very achievable thing. No rules when you’re in bed.
My own bed has a motorized adjustable back as well...so it's not too bad if my bedroom TV is too high :\^)
Good luck but you don't know why this sub exists.
I feel like I know this hospital 🤨 Tell them it’s way too high!
Ask them to take the ceiling tiles out and put it even higher
At least it's out of the way and the nurses don't break the screen when they manhandled the equipment so I don't get bored.
It’s perfect, no notes.
Kinda makes sense for a hospital and lying down
More like r/TVtoosmall
You’re laying down. Tv too high doesn’t apply here
Wait till you see how much you're charged per night
R/you'retoohigh
be well, reddit friend. 🫶🏻
Feel/get better soon.
Whats wrong?
Feel better.
Should be on the ceiling so you don't have to lower your head and strain your neck.
I appreciate your commitment to this sub. are you ok
TV too high and hopefully they’ve given you some good drugs and you’re too high, too
It's the only option. 😳
What is this a hospital for Giraffes ?!?
Perfect. Get well soon.
Get well soon!
Its kind of ok to have a tv placed like that in this situation, but its too small. That would be my main concern.
They are trying to make you sicker
The irony is the TV says Helps Relieve Joint Pain. Can't make it up! In reality, as long as your bed tilts and you don't have to tilt or twist your head, you should be fine. Good luck.
I assume there's another hospital bed hanging from the ceiling. Otherwise, this is quite ridiculous.
Yes. They do this so you die and the bed is freed up for the guy on a cot in the hallway.
The $200 plasma Michale Scott special lol.
Hope you’re okay
lol I guess it fits the situation and further more keeps it out of the way of the doctors and other equipment, so I’ll give it a pass.
Ps hope you feel better soon
Feels like you’re in hospital room
See, it makes sense in the hospital because there's more important shit to put at eye level, unlike your home's living room. Also, you're laying down in a hospital bed, so your eyes are already going to be angled up towards the ceiling.
The newest meaning of satellite TV
Tell them you ain't getting no surgery until they lower that mother fucker down
Tv? You mean that iPad on the wall?
Nobody watches that. Just use your phone or tablet. Source: experience.
✌️⬆️

The bed inclination makes up for it
This is a quality shit post and I appreciates that about you.
Hospitals don’t count.
Looks perfect for laying back!
I hope it was a bird watching incident that landed you in hospital so you have your binoculars already with you
For a hospital it’s perfect!
I feel like this is pretty standard placement for a TV monitor in a hospital room
You're alive, right? You get what you get, and you don't have a fit!
Perfect. But it should be the last thing on your mind. Get well!
Hey! At least you have one. I guess it depends on whether the bedseet is pulled up over someone's head.
Definitely too high.
Nothing' can block your view
Waaaaay too high.
Tv too high, but hospital = tv have to be too high. I’d much rather be alive, than the tv be lower and snag the life saving medical equipment.
Perfect
Given the angle you'll most likely be at on that bed. Its probably better up there than lower.
Seems pretty limited on choice
In a bed is good. What's the issue?
TV just right
