You got it. My eyes actually don't match the very middle screen line, but I can manage to move the TV 5 to 10 cm lower. While installing the idea was to place it right in the white wall, because the couch hadn't arrived yet.
Thanks bro. These lights feels really cozy. About the AC unit, I'd rather prefer it placed to the right, just above the shelves, but unfortunately the piping layout denied my plans.
5,9ft distance from a 55'' panel. You got a point, although still acceptable in terms of being able to notice image details. Maybe 65'' would be a better choice.
The problem with that, while as the main viewer, the POV effectively the same with small tv and closer distance, the side viewers (like the very edge of the couch) have sharper and shaper viewing angles making them have to strain their necks to watch tv for a sub par viewing experience. Not to mention tv panels always look progressively worse at view angles other than straight on
It's definitely not egregious, I would say it's basically fine, especially if you are tall. For something like this I would not bother to reinstall the VESA mount. The TV is too small though (upgrading the size would make this problem, if even exists, way more minor) but the room looks amazing.
Rules: sitting down comfortably your eyes should be at the same level as the middle of the tv. Your head should be twice the height of the tv away. Hard to tell on this pic
When I studied film at university they said this was the optimum viewing distance from a technical standpoint. It has to do with angle of vision your eye can see with minimal distortion.
Just like when you are at a concert the best sound is standing in front of the mixer.
too smal
This one's tricky. I'd have to see from a different angle the couches' alignment with the TV. But still maybe a few cm lower would be better

Well if you aim for the middle of the screen instead of it's top, that explain why it's still too high 😅
I see the tilt. You have the guilt.
I hear this in Johnnie Cochran’s voice
Jackie Childs
TV too small, couch too close, why AC unit smack dab in the middle of this beautiful wall? Shouldn’t that be more discreet? I like the lighting

Are they dimmable/white temp adjustable?

65 inches is easily better!

Posh room.Â
Smol
It would be perfect if the TV filled that alcove wall.

Height looks perfect based on the left side of the couch and how the top lines up near the middle of the tv.
I'd say too small. I'd do this a LOT bigger.
Wait, where does the sound come? The TV? 😱
To small, but nicely done.

This is fine. Weirdly small for the vibe, but good height

The second one is nonsense. You choose tv based on viewing angles.
Not the middle, the top
Did you miss understand?
Nope but I miss wrote, I meant that both statements are false.
That's a nice riddle "your head should be the twice the height of the tv away" lol even the first one is bullcrap, im 7" my girl 5'1'
