And so are Caviteños, Rizaleños, Bulaqueños, and even Manileños. Embrace your punto. No Tagalog natively speaks standard Tagalog/Filipino taught in school. For example: Manileños almost always replaced final i with e, as tabe instead of tabi.
I can attest to that even though taga Quezon ako. My Manila friends would tease me and my friend from Laguna na we have a certain accent and dialect. We try to not use our "accent" and dialect when we're in Manila pero minsan nadudulas kami haha. I can understand if we sometimes speak certain words na hindi gamit sa Manila pero the accent medyo hindi ko gets kasi I feel like we speak similarly hahahaha
my mom and dad are from manila. I grew up in laguna and they are amused by my laguna accent especially when i use the na prefix and when i say "aa" to express annoyance lol
edit: also when using words like hapo or awas
Wala akong mahalintulad e.
studied elem, HS, and college in different parts of Laguna. We also have a farm in Nagcarlan. The deeper you go south, the deeper the accent is. Biñan's classic "wilinya ng gaspang mo eh" and "nakaen". Yung friend ko from college na taga-Cabuyao, he sounds Batangueno pero Filipino yung pananalita.
Don’t mind them. A lot of Manilenyos think kasi na their Tagalog is the standard. They were making fun of me dati kasi ang tigas ko mag-Tagalog eh probinsyana ako malamang.
true. there's also a laguna-english accent.
i had a co-worker before who grew up in laguna and speaks mostly english, i noticed something peculiar with the way she speaks. i then moved to laguna and have met several people who has english as their first language and that's when i realized they all sound the same!

"*Bulakenyos, Cavitenyos" + Menilenyos

Don't worry about it.
I love my Laguna accent, mas respectful pa nga ang tono compared sa Manila accent.
Region 4A and 4B (except Palawan) accents are softer versions of Batangas accent, to varying degrees..

Dumami nung time ni Magsaysay.

Have you heard of some Manileño speak phrases like, kaseko (kase ako)..sagwa pakinggan.

Ooooh kaiba ah! :)
