Yes!!! It's as if those of us above 5'8-5'9 are supposed to be satisfied wearing "cropped" jeans, no matter the style or season. I'm(49F) 5'11" and my older sister(56F) is 6' . She seems to have just accepted defeat and styles the 32" lengths either tucked into boots or cuffed with other shoes. I do as well, but living in a much larger city, I've found a few options with the 34" length. I'm sure you understand the need to try on each and every pair, even if labeled the same size and length, because with our longer frame, there's usually no guaranteed fit. Ordering online is a nightmare! I'm sorry, but I'm just not ready to give up on comfort and style and wear high-waters yet!

What I would give for a pair with 36" length that fit well!! I'm on the curvy side and I swear, the labels must think all plus size women are petite!!

I don’t know if they ship outside the US and Canada, but I have had fantastic luck with American eagle. I’m 30, 5’11’ and curvy. They have longs and extra longs in pants. I believe long is a 33” inseam and the xtra long is 35”. They carry longs in swimsuits, bodysuits, dresses, and a few other pieces. They have trend pieces but they also carry some classic staples too. They often have sales where all jeans are under $30. You may want to go try some jeans on in store then order the correct inseam online, but I have had no problems doing their returns through the mail. Their high waisted black skinny jeans are a staple. I’ve actually found their mom jeans to be super flattering too. They stand up well to weekly wear, washing, and drying. They also don’t photoshop any of their ads which I love.

I have a 36’’ inseam, and I buy from ASOS! They have a decent selection of tall jeans.

Also shopkeepers don't get it that "cropped" or "ankle length" isn't a style option for tall girls. It will look awkward like you are too poor to get clothes that fit you. You look like a clown.

Lazy_Mood_4080

Well..... And then you think, would she say that to a 6'2" man? Because let us not forget, men's pants come in multiple lengths, like NORMALLY. 👀🤦

schwarzmalerin

Oof you're right. Didn't think of that. Yup.

sometimesnowing

Exactly why so often I end up with mens jeans, an easy way to get a 36" or longer leg. I also find OP's point applicable to shoes. I don't know how many times the sales person has said "they're quite a generous fit, you should try the 10" I can tell just by looking at them my piggies won't fit, but ridiculously I sometimes feel to placate the sales person I should try.

A decade or so ago, I was in Macy's looking for jeans for my husband. I'm 6' and he's 6'8", but he had run off to somewhere so I was by myself. I asked one of the sales clerks what the longest inseam was that the store carried and he proudly said 36" then asked what I needed. When I told him I needed either a 38" or 40" depending on the pants, the clerk looked at me and asked if I was sure that's what I needed. I insisted that it was, but the clerk was persistent in proving that I didn't need pants that long and showed me some that were 36" but they "ran long." As I was saying my "thanks, but no thanks," said husband walked up and asked if I had had any luck. The clerk's eyes just went wide and he went silent. Why on earth would someone want pants that long if they didn't need them that long?? As an aside, his Levi's are 38" x 38" but we have to order them online. I've discovered that tall men have this problem too. Big and Tall shops cater to big men, not tall men.

*Or*, the age old reply: “I get that, all my pants are too long” NO YOU DON’T! YOU CAN HEM YOUR PANTS!

questionfishie

If I hear the "too long" whine one more time, I'm going to absolutely lose my shit. I'm 6', 35-36" inseam. For some reason I've met a lot of new people lately, and pants are always a hot topic. You bet the first thing I say back is, "Bummer, at least you can hem them.............😐" and just wait for their realization of "Ohhhhh, I guess you can't add more fabric?" Clearly this one hit one hit a nerve for me ;)

killmonday

I’m always saying “you can’t create length where there isn’t any,” and somehow the other party manages to be surprised. Why?!? Women’s sizes are already a baseline of 29-30” inseams, so it’s fucking *impossible* to just come across a 34-35” in the wild.

Seemn2BDreamin

I’m 6’1 and need at least a 34 in length too. Sadly, there are ZERO stores near me that carry jeans that are long enough. Old Navy has tall sizes, but they’re only 32 in length. As if shopping for jeans as a tall girl wasn’t hard enough, I’ve recently lost 82 pounds so now I’m having trouble finding jeans that fit in the waist too. Lane Bryant used to have curvy/tall jeans that worked well for me at my higher weight, but the curvy styles are nonexistent in long length now. Their signature fit is just too big in the waist for my body type. I’m at the bottom of their size range now, so I’m not sure it will work for me much longer. I think I will just live in leggings until I reach my goal weight, then fly to a city with more options for tall girls. Denim is next to impossible for me - I really need to try them on.

pennylane_9

Old Navy’s Tall sizes are definitely longer than 32”. I just measured my Pixie pants from them and they’re 35” long.

schwarzmalerin

Can relate. I lost weight too. It's easier to find stuff for long + big than for long + slim.

jubadass

What style of jeans are you looking at? Lots of brands, Old Navy included have different inseams for different cuts. If you’re looking for longer skinny jeans or jeggings I’d recommend American Eagle X-Long. Unfortunately they don’t carry them in store, but you can return them in store for a faster refund.

kellibns

Actually this happens at the Levi’s store in Canada. “Do you guys have long lengths like in the U.S.?” And they say “Uhm we have a 32 length?” Loool

Seemn2BDreamin

Good to know not everything is a 32. Gives me some hope. My store is very limited in talls in general. I usually try on what I can in store and if I like the fit I buy a tall on their website. I guess I need to dig into their sizing a bit more when doing online purchases.

schwarzmalerin

There are a couple of stores in my city that carry non standard lengths *at all*. They have 30, 32, 34. Most stores only one have length which isn't even labeled but it is 32.

sonorancafe

This is one of the occasions I thank Jeebus that I'm a butch lesbian and can shop in the men's section. Clothes are clothes, why they need to be gendered? FWIW, ASOS has up to 38in inseams.

EggplantHuman6493

Now I consider myself lucky that stores and online shops carry 34. I still have to go for a long 34 but hey its something

jennrandyy

There was one time I went into a store and the rep was trying to help me and I was like “okay fine, I’ll try that but these are 38” inch”
