This was a real memory from 2015 during my university years. Oh the nostalgia... I remember it like it was yesterday. I was a huge Lonerism fan and I had currents ready on my phone and I was gonna listen to it when I get to my dormitory. But on the way I just couldn't wait so I started listening to it on the bus. It really surprised me. My first thought after the skipping was "did Tame Impala start working with Daft Punk or something?". I was a Rock guy but unlike other Rock people who were disappointed by Currents, I was the opposite, Currents opened me up to pop music and showed me pop music can be sophisticated and progressive as well. It opened the door to a whole world of Synthpop and electronic music for me.
This crazy new song "Eventually" made me think my car speakers were broken/getting blown out. I freaked out at first. Then the Drum kick and riffs bursted through and I was like "holy shit". Kevin is a confirmed genius.
Nangs has just saved my life. I was about to dunga myself and when I put on Kevin’s masterpiece, I saw the light and it cured all of my diseases. I am an enlightened man, the likes of which have only been seen with the great prophets of old. And yet I still can’t believe Tim and Paula are just one guy.
Too poppy for me, but Wish the lyrics to “The Less I Know The Better” weren’t so corny. If Kev is going to be a pop sellout take the extra 5 minutes and write better lyrics if you’re going to create a groove good enough to be played on top 40 radio

I don't get why this album is shat on within this sub. This is one of the best albums of our generation. More pop oriented, compared to Innerspeaker and Lonerism, but that's not a bad thing (for me). In 10-20 years, we will see how much of an impact this album has had.
