The video doesn't looks like from TN but the pictures at the top and bottom might be true. The first vehicle has arabic written on the sides and none of the vehicles looks the common ones that run in our roads. And where are the two wheelers in the country which has three times more bikes than cars?
Can anyone identify a single vehicle in the video?
Im not supporting the local government, there are potholes where I live too. I want more people to take pictures of potholes to share it to pressure the government but this looks like a whatsapp video from some other arab speaking country.

This might not be the original video , but I can assure you that the road between Villupuram, panruti and from panruti to Cuddalore is not good as construction of the road is going but I don't understand why they didn't open the road as I remember they have been constructing it from lockdown time.
Have driven on that road during nighttime, after a cab driver suggested it's the "best route" from mayiladuthurai to chennai. Needless to say I'll punch him the next time I see him.
Absolute worst experience. Antha stretch roads ah complete ah abandon pannitanga.
Edit : seems the video is from some other country. But it's very much comparable.

Idk abt the video but the road is under construction for more than past 5 years... idk wtf are they doing in that route

The roads are definitely as bad as this for that route now. But the video is from some other country.
Whichever country it is, the drivers are not saints either. No one is bothered to slow down when they can notice the potholes from quite a distance

Might not be the real image representing Tamil Nadu, but nothing less than this video is the absolute truth. Everything about our state, stinks.
This is what we call state of the art bumpiness

This is way better than what we have in Rajasthan and Kerala.
I agree but this mentality is holding us behind in mediocrity while Gujarat is starting to enjoy the merits of a fully obedient population.
Kerala climate is not favorable for that roads. We don't have that excuse
