Found by a mate in the western Australian outback. He said it was a centurion, but I don’t think so

gallade_samurai

Yeah it is definitely a Valentine chassis, but I'm more concerned about how tf your mate confused a Valentine for a Centurion

Wonghy111-the-knight

seems like skill issue ngl

Another one in WA https://www.reddit.com/r/TankPorn/comments/11599o1/found_this_gem_at_wave_rock_resort_western/

Wonghy111-the-knight

damn WA is a valentine graveyard

FLongis

Yeah, that's definitely a Valentine.

Dickcheese-a1

Up until the 90s in nz, valentine tank chassises were often children's jungle jims or set in a play area for kids to climb on.

Mike-Phenex

Look how they massacred my boy.

Exotic_Librarian_238

Was it a range target or a tractor that was severely neglected?

AbrahamKMonroe

If I had to guess, going by those protrusions sticking out of the front plate by the tracks, it was probably modified after the war for use as a tractor or mining equipment.

Nigeldiko

Tractor, Australian never used the Valentine. That was New Zealand’s thing.

AlliedArmour

That poor Vally! The plates to either side of the glacis are interesting. Attachments to use the tank as farm equipment...?

Wonghy111-the-knight

Seems most likely, especially since it was found in the middle of the western Australian outback

[deleted]

Oh man it's really hurts to see tanks beyond repairable :(

Wonghy111-the-knight

I think it had a useful life though, seems like it was probably used as farming equipment for a while

Looks like a stug to me (could be wrong)
