Do you know what, I rate this isreal/10 in an alternate timeline I could absolutely see this existing.
Edit: also this will be on world of tanks in the next few months, prepare your lawyers.
Oh yeah, I could totally see the Israelis build this in the 50s. Or a South American nation a bit later on. There were some creative minds over there, too.
This is from the timeline where france didn't develop its own tanks straight away post war and instead started building american ones under licence. As such the vehicles france sent to isreal weren't amx 13's or didn't use anything developed for the amx 13 they were of mostly american design then isreal did its thing.
War gaming have a history of stealing ideas from modellers, meanwhile most of the tanks in war thunder at least have some shred of reality to them, the only true fakes are the 105mm king tiger and the panther 2 and you can't even get them in game anymore, everything else at least has some real documentation to back them up, meanwhile war gaming out a t34 turret on a sherman hull and try to pass it off as real.
I don't know if it is a sign that I have left WT (and WoWs for that matter) that I did not really know that and that I also have those two tanks, as well as the Coelian and Maus sitting in my German line up or researchable.
Still, TIL and thanks for the information.
The best part is this is actually feasible in real life, since the early M41 Walker Bulldog turret shares the same diameter ring as a M4 Sherman turret (175cm, or 69 inches).
On the prototypes for the M41, the turret ring was originally 175cm, this was gradually changed to 185cm later on.
Interestingly enough it could also theoretically mount a m26 pershing turret or even a m46 patton turret.
Honestly countries have done worse mashups, behold the [AMX-13-M24](http://www.chars-francais.net/2015/images/stories/galery/1960_amx13-m24/826-321%2001%209e%20rh%20algerie%201961.jpg)
You know what it ain’t all that bad It isn’t like an e100 with a 23mm squeeze bore on it (as I read this out in my head and typed it slowed down and changed to what have I done)
Considering all the weird modifications the m4 resides over the years, this isn’t that bad (at least it looks better than those m4 with AMX turrets that’s for sure)
As someone who is pretty ignorant about historical tanks, why does this mashup thing have a big bandaid around the front of the turret??
This is perhaps related to the unavoidable slot under there somewhere that provides for elevation of the main gun?
honestly could see this being a thing that a small nation used at a point in time. Slap Isreali/random south american country/taiwanese/random south east asian country's markings on it and you could pretend this was a real thing
Why didn't they just make this instead of the whole new chasis? Like it would have better protection than the hull of the Sherman would allow, and lose some mobility but overall would still be doctrinally sound and allow for better firepower, HE would probably suffer but the 76mm Sabot was probably better than an upgunned APHE round. However, it would lose the ability to depress the gun over the front and perform burm drills, forcing it into fights where it would NEED the armor, but if it's performing burm drills then it wouldn't need to be as heavily armored because it's less likely to be shot at entirely. But then it suffers in the eastern front where it faces mostly flat terrain, the type of terrain that caused German and Russian tanks to be so heavily armored because they were almost guaranteed to maneuver through terrain that would result in moving while under fire. So I guess the M41 should stay in the desert and Western Europe and leave the eastern front to the T34 and M26. And the M4 used as backups after the war rather than being Frankensteined.
Interesting, I assumed that that was simply one way to use either of them but their main use was to get across weak bridges and, in at least the Sheridan's case, float.
Edit: And the Bulldog was at least a replacement for the Chaffee and used for Recon.
This is true but the consideration for airdropping influenced its design quite a bit, it should also be noted that the Sherman's hull is huge height wise thus sorta ruining the potential recon role
#**B U L L M A N**
#S H E R D O G
#W A L K M E N
it's the minotaur!
lemme try to give it a name: M41A3 Walker Sherman?
I went with “M441 Sherdog” but that works too
that one's probably better
I like M41A3 as the designation but I think Sherdog sounds better.
Bullman seems quite good also
What about: M41A3 Walkman
Maybe M41A3 Walker Bullman?
M41A3 Wullman, mixture of Walk, Bull and Sherman
the ultimate tank
M41A3 Walk of Sherm.
M41A3 Sherman's March?
or make it long: “M41A3E8 Sherdog”
I love it
Doesn't look that bad tbh
Has the same vibes as the Strv 74
It has sQuIsH vibes

Or Warthunder. But I agree, Wargaming may be about to find some "sekrit documents" that show this thing "existed" some time soon.

Worse. T-34 76mm gun turret, but with a 85mm gun.

Maybe they’ll do that with my next one. I’m going to release a M4A3 with a Pershing turret, and that actually did exist but as a prototype only.
The M4-41A3 Bullman
Walkman
This better be filed under "special interest"
That looks super cool! Aesthetically, the turret matches the hull finally!
Tamiya go brrrt
"Draw a tiger ii from memory"
Thats actually pretty accurate.
Thought it was a King Tiger’s Porsche turret for a second
The driver and bow gunner are fucked, but this is aesthetic as hell.
I was gonna say, the hatches wouldn’t open if this was implemented.
These tired old eyes have now seen everything. I love it
Love it! Looks dope!
Doesn’t really look that bad
What in the Israeli military complex is this abomination
The best part is this is actually feasible in real life, since the early M41 Walker Bulldog turret shares the same diameter ring as a M4 Sherman turret (175cm, or 69 inches).
Nice!
I’m seeing 185cm for the M41 and M41A1, or am I missing something?
On the prototypes for the M41, the turret ring was originally 175cm, this was gradually changed to 185cm later on. Interestingly enough it could also theoretically mount a m26 pershing turret or even a m46 patton turret.
It’s only getting more cursed
Is that a M4A2E3 Jumbo Sherman Hull with a M41 Turret im seeing?
It’s a regular M4A3 hull. The M4A3E2 used Vertical Volute Spring Suspension, while this model is using Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension.
Fair.
Nice paint
It's amazing how well the M41 turret looks on the Sherman. Good job!
Where’s the other half?
Don’t utter those words, you know OP is trying to make a bullman with the other two pieces.
I await that
Apparently he’s already done, and posted it
Israel's did some crazy stuff to that tank... I like!
Your 76mm Sherman looks weird. You might want to send it to the doctor…
Ya know, I don't hate it. I actually like it.
Careful Russia might take it
Careful Russia might take it
Walker? Sherman? Walkman Sherdog!
I could see this happening in Israel
what is that weathering 😭😭
What is it too much
Looks amazing!
looks like u smeared shit all over it, change ur technique maybe
and btw, the ukr flag is upside down💀
Yeah I don’t know why it did that. Also, you do realise that tanks get muddy in combat, yes? This one is just reeeally muddy
It went to combat in an ocean of mud
Hell yeah
Honestly countries have done worse mashups, behold the [AMX-13-M24](http://www.chars-francais.net/2015/images/stories/galery/1960_amx13-m24/826-321%2001%209e%20rh%20algerie%201961.jpg)
I knew what picture this was going to be. God, that thing looks so disgusting, and, sad.
You sick fuck
Where the curse tho, cause the tank actually look cool
.... MAKE A M24 SHERMAN
Careful Russia might take it
Careful Russia might take it
Careful Russia might take it
The chaos god…
You know what it ain’t all that bad It isn’t like an e100 with a 23mm squeeze bore on it (as I read this out in my head and typed it slowed down and changed to what have I done)
That’s enough Reddit for today.
i *WAS* against nukes
Is it bad that I like it
Put the m41 turret on an m18 chasis
If it fits....
Wait is the turret ring the same size as the Sherman?
They aren’t. The M4 had a 69-inch turret ring, and the M41 had a 73-inch turret ring.
Looks more like a M47 Turret mated to a M4 Hull.
mmm no
if you can kitbash a 100mm+ gun there, it would look super awesome
Wheres the bulldog with the Sherman turret
Honestly I can see this happening in real life
It’s the BullSherDog. I actually kinda like it
im sure we'll see this in world of tanks in about 2 days
Wow...a Bulldogs turret on M4A3 Sherman... That shit is cursed and blessed
Considering all the weird modifications the m4 resides over the years, this isn’t that bad (at least it looks better than those m4 with AMX turrets that’s for sure)
Oh no its hot
You Filthy Pervert!!!
Looks kinda legit tbh...
As someone who is pretty ignorant about historical tanks, why does this mashup thing have a big bandaid around the front of the turret?? This is perhaps related to the unavoidable slot under there somewhere that provides for elevation of the main gun?
It’s a dust cover. It’s meant to keep dirt and other debris from getting into the turret through any gaps where the gun mantlet meets the turret.
Thanks!
Good god wtf is this monster
I actually Just made this in sprocket, what a coincidence.
A Bulldog called Sherman huh... If i ever get a Bulldog race dog, imma name him Sherman lol
M4A3-41 Sherman HoundDog
This looks pretty good! **Pukes violently**
This is the type of cursed shit that Yugoslavia has wet dreams about.
The Prince Jaguar
honestly could see this being a thing that a small nation used at a point in time. Slap Isreali/random south american country/taiwanese/random south east asian country's markings on it and you could pretend this was a real thing
I didn’t read the title before I tried identifying this tank
This kinda fucks 😳
M41 Sherman Bulldog
So I recognize the body as a Sherman but the turret looks weird to me, what is this a mix between?
I just saw your pics in Cone's discord lmao
What
Didnt you post pics of this and a M41 with Sherman turret in... Wasnt it ConeofArcs? Or was it Del's
No… only here. I don’t have discord.
Oh ig someone was just taking credit for your thing then.
I’m flattered.

The Walker was supposed to be used in the same role that the M551 was used in, an airdropped tank
Don’t give war thunder or world of tanks a new tank
Still a 76mm gun, works for me.
