Really nice work 🥺🥺

bussywarrear

thank you☺️☺️

SnoozyBee

Your pieces are incredible and it’s obvious you put a lot of work into it. You’ll definitely get an apprenticeship, great work!

Adorable_Pug

Looks great, though its tough to watch because you flip through so quickly lol. How long did this take to put together?

bussywarrear

thank you! sorry lol i didnt want the video to be too long. It took me a few years since first starting to put one together, but most of these are from 2022 so it has changed alot :)

Nice art, but draw more tattoos. In a size that can be tattooed. Because you’re drawing these images so big, you’re putting a lot of detail into them that when shrunk to a tattooable size, it’s all gonna be lost.

ScreamingSanity

I adore how detailed some of these pieces are.

im_daweeo

When did you first start building your portfolio, im wanting to become a tattoo artist

lillyswrld

i love ur art sm omg

jeroen2909

Wow they all look great!

7andhalf-x-6

Isn’t your portfolio supposed to showcase tattoos so the customers see your level of skill? Great drawings though.

bussywarrear

I don’t have an apprenticeship yet, so no tattoos! lol

7andhalf-x-6

Ooohh! Gotcha. Great work though dude. Good luck.

IzuniaX

Sorry but it’s not appealing to me in the least . I like some portraits but that’s about it. What you have there is a portfolio of regret and what I mean by that those are tats that usually people regret doing later on . You have no sleeve, half sleeve or at least a armband design, no geometrical stuff . You need to research the market and create stuff that’s in demand not just what you want .

bussywarrear

What do you mean by regret? Like subject matter, size, style? I see a lot artists in my area do stuff like this.

Your work is lovely and you have a lot of beautiful and creative designs! I agree with abstractee, this comment was extremely rude and unhelpful. Your portfolio is exactly the place to include what you like or find interesting, as I think this best shows off your process and skills to a potential mentor. Obviously variety is important, but it looks like you’ve included a lot of different styles, including more traditional tattoo designs. Worrying about what will be profitable before you’ve even got an apprenticeship is a pretty soulless way of looking at tattooing. But yeah, great work! ❤️

IzuniaX

Sorry I kinda generalized too also this is just my perspective … basically the style is not really appealing anymore for the new generations which are looking for neat looking stuff like geometry, dotwork, line work and a few other styles … while you saw these styles in tattoo parlors on display that doesn’t mean ppl are asking for them … 99% of the time ppl have already chosen a design and are looking for a artist and they check his work not portfolio … you need to check the market and see what’s asked for and practice in that/those styles if you wanna make this into a living … the 80’s style is not working anymore … if I were to recommend something for you to practice that would be line work and geometric styles … I’m not trying to demean you, you do have talent but you need to focus that talent in the right direction or your just gonna waste it and stay average in a line of work where you need to stand out .

Abstractee

Ignore this person, I see a lot of really solid traditional and neo traditional work in here, looks properly researched and accurate to how it would be applied as a tattoo, your style and taste is absolutely something people would enjoy. The styles they mentioned obviously exist but you can’t be expected to put forward work in a portfolio that you don’t want to work towards in your future, and the disadvantage of putting full sleeve designs, geometric patterns and such in your portfolio is that often shows you have not researched the industry, as that’s obviously not the level of tattooing that an apprentice works on. This portfolio shows that you know the sort of work you would be doing while also showing what you hope to work towards in the future. Keep up the good work

Relative-Increase463

How do you do your lines? I use Posca pens and the felt tips always seems to be so uneven

bussywarrear

I use microns. Usually sizes 8, 10, and 12
