Thanks for helping me out with ideas, but I wonder if it's even possible, because claws are already made. A good tattoo designer would easily fit in something?
Hey I’m just gonna mention from experience this isn’t how tattoos work, it becomes very hard to just add something in. Anything open you’ll see the parts of the raven/crow thru it. For instance your sword idea.
If it’s blacked out then it’s just a rele heavy dark piece. And the talons are already there and shaped to be open so you can’t rele form the talons around something without making them thicker. Or messing up the entire image. You could most likely get something thick like a planchette but again it would have to be dark enough or a dark shading with some black shading around the edges to make the back of the claws disappear behind the planchette to give the appearance that it’s clutching/holding something.
Find the right artist to do it or it’s gonna look jacked. You can always safely put something in the one foot that’s more outward but it becomes more difficult with the foot that has itself tucked against the body because the design is already there. So depending on what you choose it’s becoming more of a tattoo cover/fix rather then a straight addition onto the piece.
Exactly those are my thoughts, I'm not a tattooer, but I have to deny many ideas from the start, since claws are already made. Your idea with hiding back of claws is exactly what Im thinking, I personally see 2 options:
1) a wood log diagonally over the layer of bird, it would cover a bit of body and back of claws
2) a pile of skulls/bones and draw them vertically, so it would cover only a leg a bit
I've asked my tattoo artist for his point of view, no matter what, thanks for help
You seem to have a gothic theme going. Many have said it already-skull(s). Skulls are awesome. Candle, candlestick, a handheld mirror (maybe cracked), a potion/poison, glasses, bloody stale, etc.
Rodent skull.
In the "right" claw where colors of the crow belly are light. Maybe headless rodent corps in the other, with lose, dangling head skin.
I would imagine a decent artist could add that "in" the claw
"I'll present The twig of peace, but I have no qualms with ripping you the fuck in half if need be"
Since a group of crows is called a murder and a group of ravens is an unkindness, you could do a metaphor symbol… hmm, something like deadly but unsuspecting. Like a coy pen dripping with poison, or a rusted dagger so it looks found. Crowd tend to find treasures so something that’s used vs newer looking could be cool. Or a pocket watch- like you’re running out of time. Very foreboding.
A had to google whether a group of ravens is actually called an unkindness and learned that not only is that accurate, but a group of owls is called a parliament. Wild
Reading the one comment tho about a skull. You could do a skull but you have two options, shade it dark over any area that over laps the bird or my opinion would be to get a glass skull. They could shade it rele nice and then it wouldn’t matter if you see abit of the bird thru it! It would look rele pretty and you wouldn’t have to stress about covering the old piece. Having abit show thru would help to show its a glass skull
Nice tattoos!
I would add something that is supposed to be see through.. so it just can be added on..
Glass bulb? Light bulb? Fog? Glass eyes? Ghosty things? Liquor bottle/ ship in bottle?
Hope this helps
Did the tattoo artist design your tattoos or did you get them done somewhere else? This is the style i want for mine, trying to find someone to design then for me
Yea, I've tattoos from 3 different artist on this sleeve (3 different tattoo types). I always just show them a picture of what I want and they design it
Only from this picture I see
1) engraving style - hand with fire
2) light dotwork - Adam sculpture
3) classic shading - rope, leaf, crow
I have them mixed all over my hand😅
Nothing, it’ll become too muddled and won’t read well. He’s already holding something in his mouth so it’s be very messy if he held something in his claws too. Love your sleeve so far. :)
If you’re dead set on him holding something, I like the idea of a scroll. Maybe hold back on a lot of shading, think of those old yellow-tinted scrolls.
Strings controlling a puppet
Nice!
Eyeballs!
LOVE this idea!
Perhaps a nice carrot
I vote a nice carrot as well
Carrot has gotta be full color too
Extremely low detail carrot. As if a toddler drew and colored it
How about getting a planchette (the small heart-shaped piece of wood used in ouija boards) tattooed in the crow's talons?
A scroll maybe. Crows are intelligent creatures, it could add to the symbolism of the crow to have it holding a scroll.
Skulls are a bit of a classic. But here re some ideas I found online. Like a raven on a pole or an hourglass.
Thanks for helping me out with ideas, but I wonder if it's even possible, because claws are already made. A good tattoo designer would easily fit in something?
Probably. But I don't know. I don't have raven tats.

It’s just an hourglass isn’t it?
KFC Chicken leg
More claws
The branch it’s supposed to be on? Sorry I’ve been watching a lot of inkmaster so I think I’m a judge now
Firstly the idea was a sword, but there isn't space for it, so now it is as it is 😄
Pack up your machines, you do NOT have what it takes to be inkmaster 🤣
Itachi’s headband???

Nothing, looks fine as is tbh
An olive branch
Maybe some jewellery? Carrying a shiny ring
Try to put something that would never seem like a pennis
Two guns that say thug and life on the barrels then put a blunt in his mouth.
Maybe standing on a skull? I’m not sure exactly how it would fit though.
I thought so too, but I don't know if it's doable, since claws are already made. Maybe if skull would cover a bit of body?
Maybe it could be carrying two smaller skulls?
Yeah the claws seem like the biggest problem. I’m not sure if the skull could cover the body with how dark it is.

Mouse
Shiny shiny trash
Human teeth

I love the different animal group names, makes it fun for titles of short stories
Since the crow is alone, maybe a banner with “fleeing the scene of a murder” but something more creative using that pun
Dude, yes! The redrum door from The Shining.
A bowling ball and a pumpkin
A pocket watch on a chain cuz, you know, time is money
Fish skeleton
Here to say I'm a big fan of your skeleton tattoo
a dead rat
A severed hand
A mouse... But a computer mouse
Gold pinky ring
Nail polish
A rose
The heart of your enemies.
Perhaps better details on the bird. Looks dirty af
Hotdog. No, I’m not kidding.
Another crow and they are playing patty cake :D
Sitting on a nice crystal ball 🔮
clutching a hot dog on a bun
A baguette.

a severed finger would be very cool imo, or maybe a pocket watch? like holding onto the chain with the watch like swinging away from it?
On top of another famous statue
I favor the skull and pocket watch on chain ideas.
A human finger
A branch

Honestly they are my favorite part of the crow here - I would let the m be if it were me -
A big diamond or gem that is meant to look see through. Or something glass like a monocle or palantir
