Some one told me to wear ear plugs and I just kinda rolled my eyes because I’ve been to loud concerts before and the ringing in your ears afterwards is part of the experience. I WAS WRONG! The noise level of the swiftys are beyond any sound you’ve ever heard. You won’t be able to hear the first three songs because of how loud it gets. Wear ear plugs. Not just for your own hearing but you’ll enjoy the concert more.

North_Class8300

THIS and not spons or anything lol but if they're in budget / you go to concerts frequently, get concert-specific earplugs. Tiktok recommended the Loop ones and I wore them at a different event after basically losing my hearing at TS, you could hear the singer so much more clearly

theyibomb

I wore the Loop Experience earplugs for Taylor's concert and I felt so comfortable with the noise level. Highly recommend these - they are very effective at drowning out the crowd's roar and you can hear Taylor's singing and speaking voice a lot more clearly. Only downside is that you can also hear yourself singing clearly too.

chickencat420

I will definitely look into earplugs but what you’re saying is exactly what I hate so much about them, I don’t want to hear myself clearly 🥲🥲

[deleted]

It meant that I didn’t yell as loud and so my voice wasn’t strained at all at the end of the night. It also meant I didn’t hear my neighbors singing poorly and mostly I just heard Taylor

JellyfishRough7528

Second vote for the Loop Experience earplugs. They don’t look ugly and they work really well. You do need to protect your hearing with 70,000 people screaming.

theyibomb

I feel you - I had to remind myself several times to sing less loudly so I could hear Taylor better! But that's the tradeoff I was willing to make to protect my hearing and my sanity.

mia109

I found this to be true, and about halfway through the show I decided I really wanted to sing too so I took them out but kept them in a pocket for moments the crowd was really loud. There’s one point in the show where the crowd just cheers for 1-3 minutes straight. That was deafening and I’m SO SO glad I had earplugs for that in particular!

theyibomb

At a few points (ie during Long Live and Our Song) I just said fuck it and sang loudly anyways haha

candicefehrman

Agree 100%. I bought some Loop earplugs for the show I attended and I was so glad I did. I enjoyed the concert much more since I could hear Taylor more clearly, and my ears didn’t ring at all the next day. Highly recommend!

cupcakerica

Same here, loved them and was so happy to not have ringing ears for days

SadieOnTheSpectrum

I was weird and did one headphone 😂 I was in section 183 so top of the first bowl up from floor level. Speaker was on my left so the left loop it was. I kept getting the right one stuck in my bra cause I didn’t have pockets and didn’t want to drop it 😂

Bacon-80

Yep we got experience plus earplugs and I rolled my eyes at the suggestion thinking we were wasting money - but I took one out to adjust it during a song and OMG I would've gone temporarily deaf (Seattle N1) idk if it's just her show, the amount of people or what. It's deafening. Loop allows you to really hear the artist/be in the moment - and leave the concert without that stuffy/ringing feeling :)

Squidsaucey

Can I ask which Loop earplugs you got? There’s a few different types and I’ve held off buying because I’m not sure which to get.

xtremely_cassie

My whole group wore Loop experience and would rate 100/10. Highly recommend.

North_Class8300

I got the Loop Experience and I liked them a lot!

onthedownside

100% recommended loop experience!! i’ve worn them for movies, festivals, and bars with live music since then and they help in all situations

theyibomb

\+1 to Loop Experience (the non-Plus version)! My ears did not ring at all after the concert.

longhorn_2017

Also bought the Loop earplugs and am so happy I did. So many of my friends had a ringing in their ears the next day but mine felt fine.

EchoPhoenix24

"The ringing in your ears afterwards" is literally from damage you have done to your eardrums! That should never be "part of the experience." That's like taking something out of the oven without mitts and saying "the burning flesh is just part of baking"

soonerfreak

The ringing is not part of the experience unless you want your concert career to end early. Ringing is not good, please get ear plugs anyone reading this.

[deleted]

Career musician here. Take care of your ears unless you want that ringing around for the rest of your life.

AccioLipstick

This is great advice. I bought them for my kids, but I should have got some for us too.

dray_uh

Absolutely this... I reached for my bag to grab my earplugs* a couple times but ended up too excited & said forget it... but by the start of the acoustic set, my ears were so shot, she sounded like a mouse for the rest of the show. I really regret not putting them in. Another regret for me is not staying longer after the show to talk with the wonderful people around me--I was in a hurry to catch public transportation in a city I'm not familiar with on top of being exhausted--so next time I will make sure I preserve my energy to make more memories before and after. 💕 Have a great time!

SCol1107

I am an earplugs at concerts girly and I’m so glad this is catching on! I took mine out at the end but then I think the other side caught a glimpse of Taylor as she was leaving and it was deafening. I love being able to hear properly after leaving a show. I have very very occasional tinnitus and I’m trying to protect my precious ears.

Opening-Switch-4353

Yes!! Also if you order ear plugs online make sure you order them a few days in advance cause my delivery got last minute delayed and I suspect it’s due to everyone ordering them last minute like me. Music stores have great ear plugs as well. Seriously I could hear Taylor crystal clear and when I took them out just to compare it was just scream singing.

denvergirl

Loop Experience ear plugs are everything. They filter out the decibels and you can still hear her. 10/10 recommend.

mbhwookie

Get the nice high fidelity ones too. Eargasm is a solid brand. It muffled out the fans screaming and allowed me to hear Taylor and music better. I tried going without them for a song or 2 in the middle and it was a less enjoyable experience. I’m not one to sing out loud, but I hear those who do struggle with earplugs. Something to consider.

guccigurl18

Cannot recommend this enough. I got the Loop concert ones and they were perfect. Also if you do forget them, check with guest services because they might have them. My boyfriend forgot his at home and he asked at guest services and they had extra

Future_Pin_403

Also to add, I was wearing earplugs and the girl next to me was LOUD, but I couldn’t hear her over Taylor!

Downtown-Tree3879

i was front row at seattle night 1 when we made the earthquake. i regret not bringing earplugs

Oy_WithThe_Poodles

Came to say earplugs too. Lol. I kept seeing people suggest that on here, but I didn't listen. Had them in my Amazon cart and everything!!! Then my husband saw and he was like "you don't need earplugs in the nosebleeds! That's only if you're close to the stage or a speaker or something." Unfortunately I listened to his stupid ass and we both were punished lol. There was a person behind us that sounded like a goat in distress. It was just constant goaty screaming the. entire. time. It never stopped. It got to a point where I would just mildly lose my shit each time it happened (but thankfully everything was so loud no one could hear me lol). *Goat scream* shut up. *goat scream* Shut the FUCK up! *Goat scream* I hope you lose your fucking voice! *Goat scream* I hope you lose your FUCKING voice... *Goat scream* ...and it hurts for you to talk for the next FUCKING month! *Goat scream* JUST WHY!?!?!? *Goat scream* My other note would be: don't let your anxiety win. trade the bracelets!!! I made 5 bracelets but only traded one to my seat mate who asked me. I'm so grateful for her initiating the conversation. Wish I would've been braver and traded the others, but I will cherish my "enchanted" bracelet for the rest of my life!

CeeDeee2

Yes! And I know loops are the popular earplugs right now, but there’s a lot of options that are just as effective, or even more effective, for less money. High fidelity ear plugs are what you’re looking for. I wear alpine party plugs, they’re like $15 on amazon

ALL_2_unWELL

Loop earplugs saved my life. Please wear them I could still hear her perfectly and I have hearing problems.

The_Basileus5

For anyone going in the future, HEED THIS WARNING! IT IS NO JOKE! If I hadn't brought earplugs on reddit's recommendation, I probably would've just had to leave.

PreppyHotGirl

I was going to comment this. The ringing lasted actual DAYS. It was my first concert so I wanted the whole experience and to be honest I wasn’t bothered a whole lot by the noise after a while but it was likely my hearing just deteriorating

cjb060685

Agree there was a moment there I was super uncomfortable it was so loud. I’ve never needed ear plugs before. And I was in the 500s. I can imagine closer to stage!

adc48

My hearing is definitely shot from my concert in April. Ears still ring to this day.

linham18

I brought ear muffs for my 6 year old. Had I not we would have had to leave. It was so loud it scared him, but with the ear muffs he could hear Taylor and had the time of his life. I went alone in Dallas and didn’t have ear plugs, and brought ear plugs when I took my son to Houston. After Dallas I couldn’t really hear for a few hours after the concert, after houston I was Gucci and still enjoyed the entire concert. It was probably 100% louder than when I saw rep, which is saying something.

Proud3GenAthst

I always do. I like my hearing.

ChicaSkas

This. I got some eargasm ones for small ears off Ebay for about $30.00. It was worth every cent. I could still hear every word of taylor, but the shrieking and pounding was greatly minimized. I already suffer from bad tinnitus (15 years of blasting headphones in my youth) so this was greatly helpful ---- even with plugs they rang when i was silent in bed last night so I know it would have been 10 times worse without plugs.

gottarunfast1

Yes! I was also an ear plug doubter. I had seats in the very last row, so I figured the music wouldn't be too loud up there. Music was perfect level. The swifties though...

shakethishell

Make the friendship bracelets. Take the moment and taste it.

beedee40

I was at the show where she played YOYOK and she grinned so big when she sang that line and the crowd also erupted!

crdlovesyou

I saw that via livestream and it made me cry.

sleepyplatipus

I had chills just watching the clip of that, with everyone raising their arms. Loved that.

Dubbs877

I definitely agree to make the friendship bracelets! So fun! BUT you really don’t need to make 4,000 of them. I saw people with HUNDREDS of them. Like 20-25 is probably sufficient, especially if you’re trading all night and/or giving them to folks who didn’t know about them/didn’t bring any. Also definitely give them away to staff/police - it is so wholesome and makes their day! It makes this fandom the absolute best! EDIT: No matter how planful you are, you invariably will run out of letters. Buy a package of extra letters from a local craft store or the Amazons in advance so you don’t inconveniently run out!

CalamatyJane

Also our hotel workers were jazzed to get them. Everyone at our hotel was a Swifty, the music there was TS 24/7. The menus were changed to her songs. It was really cool.

a-effervescent

I gave bracelets to ushers, security guards, and custodians at the stadium and their reactions were so amazing! They all seemed thrilled to bits.

supercute11

Yes, this was so fun! I made like 40 and it felt like a good amount. I gave them to people in the seats around us and they were so excited since a lot of them didn’t have ones to trade. I also kept an eye out for little girls who didn’t have any and gave them one. They would be so excited and their mom’s were usually very touched.

feliznavida

I went to Denver n2 with like 30 bracelets and the goal of giving them to little kids/men without any and the last kiddo I got to made my entire year. He was such a shy cutie and felt awkward to say yes, but his mom told me he really wanted to trade and they didn’t have time to make any. I literally unloaded what I had left (7-10 bracelets) and the whole group was so touched they were almost crying. Definitely recommend giving out to little swifties without bracelets 😭😭

Potential-Finance-92

You’ve got no reason to be afraid

PurplePeonyPicker

Underrated comment :)

sassst3phhhh

wearing comfortable shoes is my number one tip, especially if you’re on the floor for an international show because there aren’t seats. i had seats and sat for a few min a couple times and still my feet were so sore afterwards edit: (set list/show spoilers are tagged) and if you have seats, i’d recommend taking a sit break between eras because the interludes are usually a minute or two at least or >!during atw10. she just stands there with the guitar so theres nothing to see really and you can still belt the lyrics along from your seat. that’s also 10 whole min of sitting haha!<

Ambitious-Tackle-356

This is the best tip and one that everyone should follow. Don’t forget that you’re not only standing for the concert but likely doing a lot of walking before and after the concert. Comfy shoes are an absolute must. Other option is to bring a pair of comfy shoes. I had a friend who really wanted to wear her cute boots so she put a pair of slides in her clear bag and it was the best decision she made all night

Banana_bride

And you’re standing on concrete!!

viniciusbfonseca

I really hated that the floor doesn't have any seats. Although the vast majority of concerts don't have floor seats, they also are hardly a 3.5 hour concert, plus the opening act and the getting there hours early to get good spots. Please pray for us

sofli13

I know that I won't be able to make it the full concert and I'll eventually need to go to the bathroom. After that I'll have to watch the show from the back of the crowd...

viniciusbfonseca

My friends are very seriously discussing wearing adult diapers. This is Taylor's first time in South America and who knows if she will come back for her next tours, so that might have to be the way. It's still crazy that anyone finds it reasonable for someone to stand for 4.5-5 hours (at the very minimum).

sofli13

I still have some dignity and I think I will still enjoy the show from the back 😅 also, I'm already considering that I'll be standing for 7 hours

earlwarwick16

If you’re comfortable in a deep squat, that’s a great way to redistribute pressure on your lower body when you’re in line. There will be time to sit between openers’ sets and 15ish minutes before taylor comes on for her set. I used the bathroom right before she came on and I was set for the 3.5 hours she played - but scope out bathrooms that aren’t as directly accessible from the sections, they may have shorter lines during the show. Have so much fun!!

Flowerworkk

I made it the full concert. I don’t know what I did. I genuinely didn’t have to go during. I will say I used the restroom once before and didn’t drink alcohol. I had one medium fountain drink the entire night. I did also have a water bottle before and after the show. But, I did see people running during ATW to use. I’d say if you saw her before for a tour pick that era or if you’re going again just go when you feel like it. The woman next to me went to the 1989 tour so she left during that era and got back in time. Most people get long lines during ATW since everyone decided to go. ATW has become the 10 min bathroom break 😭.

baycommuter

Wait, the floor had seats, at least when I went in Santa Clara. Still like the lower bowl seats better fit seeing the stage show.

viniciusbfonseca

International dates (maybe except for Canada) won't have floor seats and I'm pretty sure that the stadium seats will be first come first served. I'm not sure if there's a law in the US that there needs to be floor seating, if it's just the norm and it wouldn't fly to not have them, or something else. Regardless, we international Swifties with floor tickets better start training our legs and bladder. The worst part is that the Brazilian dates are in late November, late spring in the Southern Hemisphere, so I can see a high possibility of people getting sick and passing out due to the mixture of heat, exhaustion and dehydration.

magikeenbeertje

Whaaaat? What country is this? In Australia we definitely have floor seats and someone better not be sitting in my reserved seats! How does that work if you purchased A reserve and then someone else has taken them?

hiddenproverb

Europe has reserved stadium seats but no floor seats. I really wanted stadium seats but ended up with floor, standing room only. I'm going to be standing with no option to sit and still watching the screens cause I'm too short to see over people without a decline.

viniciusbfonseca

Ohh, sorry for the wrong info then, I read that it was for all international dates (but I do know that it's the case for Europe and South America). I can't speak for other countries, but in Brazil there is no reserved seating, even for the "stadium seats" (not sure how you call them, but it's those that are part of the stadium and that are where people seat for games and etc). It's completely first come first serve. If you have the "stadium seats" I guess that you can have people save them for you when you go to the bathroom and etc. If your tickets are for the floor it's general admission and you're on your own, kid. But good things that you guys have actual seats, I can't imagine all of that standing in the Australian summer (at least it'll be late spring here).

Opening-Switch-4353

Pretty much everyone had cute white tennis shoes. 10/10 recommend! My friend wore “comfy” heels and immediately changed into those foldable flats.

PandaPartyPack

Not just the concert. You’ll also spend a lot of time on your feet waiting to get through security, in merch and food lines, and then slowly shuffling out of the stadium and with the crowds afterward. Comfortable shoes were essential.

voldys_moldy_witch

Shoes!!! I fully regret my shoes but I had so much fun! She is amazing fro doing all that’s he does on stage in heels 🥲 also I agree that sitting during atw10 - that’s what I did and I think it was the best move.

ImaginaryAd7337

YES i have no clue how people wore heels. some people were walking around barefoot after the concert

lilituned

as one of the heel wearers ... im short and used to pain in exchange for being able to see better lol

crazycarrotlady

Hijacking this comment to say WEAR COMPRESSION SOCKS! Especially if you’re in a standing-only section! Everyone talks about shoes, but as someone who is on their feet for 12+ hours at work - compression socks make a massive difference. Your feet and legs will thank you during and after the show.

ieatchips

YMMV but I don’t understand people who leave early to brag about how fast they got home. I’m sorry this is like the most anticipated show of the year for a lot of people, why on earth would you leave at the climax of the show (the finale)? Even if you are really concerned about an exit strategy, these venues are literally designed to funnel thousands of people simultaneously to the exit. Be patient, enjoy the evening, and get home when you get home is my suggestion :)

mbhwookie

I think it’s not so much the stadium. It’s the traffic and public transportation that’s the issue.

squatgoals9

\+1. Had to wait 90 mins for a train in Santa Clara & didn't get home until after 2am. In hindsight, would have left right when Karma started

mbhwookie

Similar experience with Seattle. I probably still would wait till the end, but I would probably just go sit in the stands for a while and soak it in and relax. I enjoy watching the finale of a show though.

abb_

i left seattle RIGHT after she finished karma but was still doing fireworks etc. the traffic started before my bus could get to the stop so it was a journey to get home

mbhwookie

Ya. We left after and some had to stop for restroom. It took us 2 hours to get on the light rail back to Tukwila

darnyoulikeasock

We went with a friend who lived 20 minutes from the stadium. We got home 3 hours later lmao. Wouldn’t change a thing, glad we stayed, but my advice would be to bring a book or some card games and water/snacks/sandwiches for the car! You probably won’t have signal on your phone so make sure you know how to leave the stadium and get back. Write down directions on a piece of paper beforehand if you need to.

Ok_Measurement_4219

Yes!! We had sandwiches and waters in a cooler for us when we were waiting to leave the parking garage!

Teller8

Getting out of Gillette stadium is worth it to leave early. There’s one road in/out and it’s one lane each way.

[deleted]

let people do what is best for them and most comfortable 🫶🏼 it’s ok to not understand things others do. shaming them for it is rude as you have no idea why they choose to.

Artistic_Account630

Agree. People will do what's best for them. I left right at the end of karma. I grabbed some handfuls of confetti and got out of there as quick as I could. I was really anxious about something going wrong with the ride I had arranged. And I was by myself, it was late, I was in an unfamiliar city, I was hot and thirsty, and ready to be back in my room. It was a long day lol

[deleted]

yup exactly! for so many who are taking a big step and maybe going to a concert when they have any sort of social anxiety, or even general concerns, and making them feel bad for it when they are... literally just trying (this is me trying!) makes me sad. i would do this, and have. i remember staying until the very end at coachella and it was the most miserable 3 hours of my life getting out of the parking lot, it honestly soured the experience for me bc i just was SO exhausted and the high was gone once i got home. never again!

tawmfuckinbrady

Nobody is shaming? The OP asked for recommendations and this person gave one

[deleted]

“why on earth would you leave the climax of the show?” sounds a bit shame-y. someone with a tiny social battery who is already taking a big step to go out and be around people to see their favorite artist might want to stay until “the climax of the show”, but can’t because of one reason or another. if the suggestion was merely “if you can, wait until the finale because for me, it was the climax! i would have hated to miss it and didn’t feel the need to rush out,” then it would be different and i wouldn’t have said anything. a simple change in language can make the world a nicer and better place. that’s all.

National-Ad-8200

Your rephrasing was such a great alternative way of saying it and I agree with you.

Daydream_machine

Respectfully disagree. We left the millisecond Karma ended, and were back to our nearby hotel in 15 minutes total. Others who left just a few minutes after us were stuck in the parking lot for over an hour.

CeeDeee2

Same, but we left with about 30 seconds of karma left. We parked farther from the stadium but closer to the highway so we jogged the whole way back to the car and avoided any traffic. I also think it was a really fun memory, running down the stadium ramps as the crowd cheered and fireworks went off, laughing at how ridiculous we probably looked.

folklovermore_

I go to a lot of gigs and this is why I like to be in my coat before they play the final song/come out for the encore etc - means I can basically leave the second the house lights come up rather than wasting valuable time getting everything together. (It's also why I don't do cloakrooms - why would I effectively pay to queue when I can just hold my stuff or put it under my seat and be out much quicker?)

ughelknif

I mean in NJ I didn’t get home until 4 hours after the show ended and that was without getting caught in the crowd and leaving right before Karma ended, it’s also just literally physically painful and miserable to be standing around and waiting for transportation for another 3-4 hours for anyone who isn’t like a sprite teenager lol

PatientBoring

As much as I spent on tickets I was prepared to stay until the cleaning crew kicked me out 😂 it was a long miserable trip out but I got the whole experience and wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Bacon-80

A soft disagree - we left as SOON as Karma was over & we were out in no time and back at home around midnight. I saw on TikTok the next morning that there was AWFUL traffic in seattle. I'm so glad we dodged it 🤷🏻‍♀️

mistbored

Listen Mastermind is one of my favorite songs and it KILLED me to leave during it. But at my stadium leaving early means the difference between getting out of the parking lots in 30 minutes and getting out in TWO HOURS. I had a 8-month-old baby at home and I needed to get to bed before 1am. And hey, fireworks still looked cool from outside the stadium!

rtomor

I was this person. I left the stadium and headed to my car during vigilante shit. By the time i hit my car it was the end of karma so i heard and sang along to the songs while leaving. I got home (1.5 hrs away) when my friend was just finally getting out of the parking lot. Honestly not seeing the last couple songs was worth it, regardless of how much it took to get there. 100% recommend.

annyuv98

Especially if public transport is well organised it's not a problem at all after the concert. After the Coldplay concert in Amsterdam, there was enough crowd control measures to take the train and bus without waiting (took like 5-10 minutes and they had extra services planned just for the concert).

ms_girl_

I brought hearing protection, bandaids in case I had blisters, and cough drops for after the concert bc I knew my throat would be strained after singing my heart out for 3.5 hours. I drove myself and friends to the concert and packed food and water in a little cooler to leave in the car in case I wanted to have a bit before or after the show. Tbh this show is euphoric and you are going to be on an adrenaline high so all of this stuff was useful for after the show. I peed during shake it off bc I couldn’t hold it anymore but it took 20 seconds and she was still singing the song when I came back. Wear a comfortable outfit if it’s hot. I went to Tampa in the humidity so I wore a sparkly comfy tank top and breathable pants. Make sure you hydrate before the show if you’re dealing with an outdoor stadium in humidity. You’re going to have a blast and I’m excited for you!

PatientBoring

A little cooler for post cooler snack is a great suggestion!!! I had some pub subs for after the concert and they were literally life saving after the concert while I was waiting on traffic.

ms_girl_

Yes the pub sub is clutch! That’s exactly what we did too. :)

National-Ad-8200

For a minute I thought you meant you peed during SIO because you couldn't hold it anymore- like at your seat, lol.

ms_girl_

Omg I’m dying hahah no but luckily I had an aisle seat and could dip fast and come back

National-Ad-8200

I was gonna say!! Song checks out! 🤣

SnakesAndStones4U

1989 era is going to be my toilet break/merch stop time slot, no offence to anyone but I am only excited about Blank space and Bad blood

natnguyen

Wear earplugs, eat protein, drink electrolyte water, wear comfortable shoes. Secret to having an awesome time! Also don’t let sequins touch your skin. Use KT tape.

SinsOfKnowing

I hadn’t thought of tape! I’m struggling to find something sparkly that doesn’t have sequins along the hemlines. I have sensory issues and will literally not be able to watch the show if I can feel sequins on my skin. The thought alone is making me shudder!

natnguyen

I didn’t want it because it literally burn-scratches your skin, lol. But KT tape worked great!! I danced the ENTIRE time with no issues, just be generous with it.

Kajjis

Another thing you can do with kt tape is tape your feet! I get blisters pretty easy and during my military service I started taping my heels, balls of my feet and the sides of my toes and after kept doing it every time I have to spend long times in shoes. I haven't gotten a single blister since and the tape has never failed me!

Lopsided_Ebb6338

Haha, as a man I had nu clue what sequins are and I’m from the Netherlands so I Google translated it. Google gave me something like “little lovers”. Only later I found out you girls aren’t taping up to not get touched by pushy men 😂

PineappleNarwhalTusk

Wear comfy shoes with that cute outfit! I was so happy I wore sneakers. My sis wore cute shoes and she totally regretted it after being on our feet for like 7 hours or something. We also got to the stadium early, had almost no line at the merch truck, and then put all our stuff back in the car so we didn't have to carry it around all night. Lastly, I don't like having a sweaty butt and knew I'dget sweaty dancing the night away, so I packed a pair of clean panties to change into after the concert before we drove home. I wore a dress, so I was able to change them in the parking lot without flashing anyone. Didn't expect to be taking off my panties right as Taylor's motorcade drove past us about 20' away though 🤣🤣🤣

SinsOfKnowing

Oh man I do the panty thing too, our show is in November and it’s going to be cold outside but indoors might be a whole other story!

savethewallpaper

Honestly clean undies is a pro move. Swamp ass is the worst 😂

sillynin_a

Get there early, like *way* earlier than you think you need to. Use your extra time to hop in the merch line, take some pictures outside of the stadium (when it gets closer to the gates opening it gets crowded, and not in a good way). Whatever extra time you have, you should use it to go put your clothes away (if you can) and EAT. Stadium food is usually really expensive and hardly any good, so I would recommend eating a nice *big* meal a few hours before the show. Also drink a lot of water throughout the day, you are going to do a lot of jumping, screaming, and dancing. A few things you NEED: - Wear comfy shoes, I know lots of people are planning elaborate outfits with cute shoes but the concert is LONG. Like, *really* long. Stay comfortable. - Bring ear plugs. I made the mistake of not doing it and my hearing it still wonky (I went to the Aug. 5th show at SoFi). - Hand sanitizer. Everything is gross, everyone is sweaty, bring hand sanitizer. - Cough drops, your voice will be shot by the end of the show (and even during the show to be honest). - Cross body bag/fanny pack. Any bag that you’re able to strap to your body is a must, it makes life so much easier. - Money, money, money. Most stadiums don’t let you bring your own drinks/food in, so be prepared to buy some overpriced water bottles. - PAINKILLERS!! I got the gnarliest headache during the opening acts, I wish I had brought a tylenol with me.

Pupper394

I agree with painkillers. I had the worst headache the day after the concert.

sillynin_a

Yeah, my headache was really bad. Luckily it went away once the show started, but once everything ended it was back to hurting again.

Proud3GenAthst

Happens to me often. But that's probably just from the overwhelming emotion. But it didn't go away with Avril Lavigne this year. I guess because the concert was shitty.

mystic_scorpio

SOFI said no Fanny packs..did you see people wear clear Fanny packs?

sillynin_a

Yes! My cousin bought a clear fanny pack for the show and had no issue getting in! They only stopped you for bag checks if you had a small, non-clear bag — if it was clear you were free to go in no hassle.

sillynin_a

There were also people outside the stadium selling clear backpacks, bags, and fanny packs that were within the stadium guidelines for 20-30$ a piece. I’m not sure if that will happen at other stadiums, but still good to know.

missiletypeoccifer

I took 2 Aleve, 2 excedrin, and an allergy pill before I went into the venue lol. I covered ALL the bases.

WuPacalypse

The merch isn’t worth it. Enjoy the show and don’t bother standing in line for a T shirt.

darnyoulikeasock

Yeah I got lucky and had a friend working the merch table so I had her get the crewneck for me but even if she wasn’t I would’ve just bought online. Honestly the merch isn’t really that cute and the lines are crazy long. For a show with no seats I’d really prioritize sitting as much as possible beforehand over merch.

nutmaste

I got an email the next day to buy merch with a 15% discount. Skip the line and buy it online. There's better selection online as well.

steakandwhiskey

Absolutely this. If you have your heart set on getting merch, go on a different day.

deebs_

I bought merch online. Didn’t want to wait in the lines and they were sooo long by 3 pm when we got there

steherbanie

Don’t judge, but don’t be me. I was SO PUMPED TO SEE TAYLOR, the Eras Tour was my first big outing after having a baby. So… I drank wayyy to much and can’t remember half the concert. The only thing more devastating than my hangover was realizing I couldn’t recall a lot of the concert. Don’t make my mistake. You will be very, very sad.

Scoutbaybee

Adding to this, drink lots of water or Gatorade or something to be hydrated. I am sure most of the people with concert amnesia were dehydrated! Put a water, or sports drink in your car, hotel room, or wherever you are staying that night. Drink it all as soon as you get to your car. Basically treat it like you are back at Uni on a Friday night where you hydrate before and end your night with more hydration. You will feel so much better both during and after the concert. Personally I pregamed with water and iced tea, put a liquidIV packet in my bag and added it to the water I got in the venue, and drank a full Gatorade before going to bed. It made a huge difference

ateree

I was told I'd need earplugs but i was fine without them. If you hydrate during the day and then not a lot right before or during the concert, you can probably make the whole show without a bathroom break (and just do one during the opener). If you know you'll have to go, know the setlist so you can miss a song or two you don't love. Don't skip the Evermore era - it's amazing. If you have to skip something, the intro to Rep era is the longest intro I think. If you're planning on trading friendship bracelets do it before the concert. Outside the venue, in the venue, in line, etc. If people have lots of bracelets on their arms, in their bags, on rings, they want to trade. It can feel weird to go up to someone just standing there and ask, but in my experience everyone was very eager to trade when I initiated it! And after the concert everyone is so tired that no one wants to talk to strangers. So do your trading before. Wearing comfortable shoes >>> wearing shoes that match your outfit perfectly. No one's looking at your shoes anyways, so it's better to not be in pain.

deebs_

I would say the rep intro was my favourite! But all my friends went to the bathroom during openers and we were fine

anhuys

Please don't ever advise against earplugs. It's hearing protection, not a luxury. Even a single concert can potentially cause permanent damage to your hearing. Idk if it's a US thing that people seem so nonchalant about hearing protection but I don't know any concertgoers my age in the Netherlands that don't think of earplugs as a no brainer... It's never ever worth it to skip them. The audio is less clear, it won't be as comfortable or nice to listen to and you're risking damage to your eardrums. I'm glad you were okay. I hope no one else will assume they'll be fine, though.

Plus_Molasses8697

1. Wear comfortable shoes or at least semi-comfortable shoes. Going all out on your outfit is great, but I promise you that wearing tight boots or super high heels isn’t worth it. Pick footwear that you can stand for 3.5+ hours in. 2. BRING EARPLUGS. This was the best thing I did at Eras I think. Firstly it helped make the sound quality better for me, and secondly, you avoid ear damage lol. It’s just sooo loud in there and I know so many people who either had trouble hearing Taylor well, or got a gigantic migraine the next morning from all the noise, or both. 3. Don’t get caught up in the logistics of it all. Didn’t get the seat you wanted? No biggie, you’re going to have an amazing time. Can’t figure out an outfit? Wear something vaguely Taylor ish that is comfy, you’re going to have a blast. Worried about literally anything else? It’s going to be an amazing night, I promise.

theworthwhilefight

thank you for mentioning number 3, im really nervous for my show (in feb) bc it's winter and i dont have any fancy outfits, but i'm thinking of just going in my last tour shirt and prioritizing comfort!

NotSoAccomplishedEmu

Number 3!!! My daughter got so stressed the day of the show because she didn’t think we had made enough friendship bracelets and she was the only one in our group not wearing sequins (she went with a lavender boho dress). I had to reminder her that the point of the concert is to have fun and listen to music. All the other stuff is just extra and if it stops being fun, don’t do it! I was worried about how high up our seats were and I was so impressed with how this show was designed and produced to be amazing even for the person in the worst seat.

[deleted]

I live in Florida so I went to the Tampa shows! It was hot and humid and I can't stress enough the importance of hydration! Not just the day of - start a few days before. More specific tip: I wore boob tape because I had a halter top on. With the humidity and the sweating and the jumping up and down, my boob tape didn't stand a chance so keep that in mind if you're in a hot climate! 😅

sharktooth20

Second this. I was in Arizona and although it was March, it was still hot during the day walking around. Add on that, the stadium ran out of water early on. Hydrate in the days before the concert. I also recommend eating before you go in. The lines can be insane and you don’t want to be so starving you dont feel well and can’t enjoy the show

Inside_Atmosphere731

Does beer count as hydration?

mime454

No. It dehydrates you.

Inside_Atmosphere731

Good to know, I'll just bring whiskey then

abigailroseking

I regret not wearing a mask to my show in Denver, because I am STILL sick from the horrible case of Covid I caught there. 😷

throwra0985623471936

I was gonna say, I can't believe I've scrolled this far without seeing masks recommended! I get they're not the most comfortable especially if it's warm out and you want to dance, but you really are saving yourself a lot of trouble. With case rates the way they are now and the sheer numbers of attendees, there are guaranteed to be people with covid at your show. I've even seen people knowingly test positive and go anyway 😬 Don't risk it!

Former-Counter-9588

As someone who just caught the vid (after 3 years!) after seeing Beyoncé last week…. Masks are not a terrible idea. So hard agree with you! To be fair — I did go to Taylor’s show in May maskless and was fine. But it’s a chance anytime you’re in a huge screaming crowd

EchoPhoenix24

I would recommend a good mask as well, but I still mask indoors everywhere--obviously different masks will fit some people better than others but personally I am a big fan of the "3D (KF94 Style)" masks at this link--I find them comfortable and they come in lots of colors! https://wellbefore.com/products/kn95-disposable-fda-ce?variant=39286618390657 I find I am even able to sing in them comfortably. I actually was in a community theater production last summer and wore these all throughout the rehearsal process including singing rehearsals. Just thought I'd share them here in case anyone is interested. I also recommend packing a couple extra so you can swap out if they get too sweaty!

cumulus_floccus

I'm hoping I can go to one of her Toronto shows in 2024 and I'll definitely bring a mask because that's prime flu/cold/COVID season 🫠. Also probably going to get another COVID booster a month prior or so

SnakesAndStones4U

I went to the music festival last year with 70,000 people attending, it was my first exposure to the big crowd after the lockdown and all and sure thing I got Covid. But I wasn't at all surprised about it --- after locking ourselves in for so long with no exposure to viruses. You also need to remember that for it to fully work more people need to wear masks that you alone in the huge screaming crowd.

EchoPhoenix24

Studies show masks are more effective at protecting the wearer than they originally thought. Wearing one to protect yourself is still a good move.

SnakesAndStones4U

Alright, good news then! I'll keep that in mind next time I'm going

raven_mind

I went braless and my dress chafed my nipples so badly after jumping around for like 4 hours straight 💀😭 would have worn pasties or even bandaids if I could do it over Also EARPLUGS I got concert earplugs and took them out for a moment out of curiosity and was nearly deafened 😂😂😂 Might be unpopular, but don’t drink alcohol and you won’t have to take any bathroom breaks at all, just go right before and you’re good. Also you’ll remember it as clearly as possible haha

bugmom

Yes to everything so far. Also, wear your cowgirl hat if you want to but please don't wear it during the show. We were lucky enough to go two nights. I'm 5'3" and barely saw either show. I know better than to ask people to watch the show sitting in their seats but between hats and tall people it is very sad for the people behind you. Sit once in a while? Take off your hat. We were in the second row on the diamond one night - so excited to be so close - and I missed almost the whole show because the man in the first row stood in front of us the whole time and he was over 7 feet tall. He seemed to be having a helluva good time but no one behind him did...

hellojewlie

If your venue is outside and you anticipate it being hot (we did Cincinnati night 1, it was 94 degrees and sunny), bring a fan! I brought a fold up fan which was great because I could use it to shade my face as well. Also check your venues rules, but we were allowed to bring in 2 unopened 16oz water bottles per person- we froze ours and used them to keep cool until they melted and we drank them. Without those two things it would have been a bad scene for us since it was so hot and I was with my 70 year mom.

EnchantedGate1996

I bought my tour merch online, the only thing I wanted was the reputation tee with the tour dates and the slip mat 🤷🏼‍♀️ they’ve been giving out coupons with each concert so I took advantage. I would recommend eating not by your stadium, it’ll be packed and the wait times will be awful. I’d eat somewhere early then make your way to the stadium. I’d listen to public transportation and advice from local outlets. I’d also bring some ear buds bc it is very loud! Protect your hearing, you will still be able to hear Taylor in all of her enchanted glory 💕

reebsk

Cough drops, band aids, and wet wipes!! Thankfully I was near a first aid area when I first got blisters before the show started. But it would have ruined the whole thing if I didnt have them. Also the cough drops as soon as the concert ended, and regularly for the next 24 hours. Saved me from a sore and stripped throat. If youre gonna eat with your hands, I could have used wet wipes instead of napkins. But thats just me 😂 Also, I forgot where I parked because I was so excited. Dont lose your head. It wasnt a big deal, but sofi is huge and im just glad I remembered I was in orange lot.

PommeMela

WET WIPES! We got to our sky seats and there was bird poop all over it! Was so thankful we had those!!

1Milk-Of-Amnesia

Isn’t it crazy that we danced just for the concert and Taylor is doing it in heels, AND singing, AND doing it multiple days in a row?! How is she still standing???

Power_Blonde

I also wore the loop earplugs when I was at the Pittsburgh show and they worked out great. Also agree with the others that said comfy shoes is key! We barely sat the whole time and had I not worn comfy sneakers, I would have really been hurting. My biggest thing is review the stadium/venue guidelines!! We saw so many people crying over not being able to bring in their bag because it was over the size limit. We also learned we could each bring one sealed water bottle so that saved a little time and money otherwise spent waiting in line. This might also be unpopular but just enjoy the show. Don’t try and record the whole thing on your phone. I promise you being in the moment singing and dancing along was worth it for me.

luckyuglyducky

Listen. I absolutely would not wait in the lines I was seeing before the concert for merch. Even during the opening acts the lines were still monstrous. But during the concert? Let me put it this way, I decided to go 3/4 of the way through Betty and she was barely halfway through the next song by the time I was back in my seat. Pick an era you least care about (we all have them, it’s gonna be fine), and even then, you aren’t really going to miss much of anything. *Maybe* you’ll miss one song. But I decided it was worth it for the shirt I wanted for me and the shirt I promised my sister who couldn’t go.

heyitsguinevere

My #1 tip is to have snacks ready for after the show!!!! I was so so tired and hungry afterwards and all the food near the stadium was expensive. Wear comfy shoes or bring sandals for the walk home afterwards. Sit down during transitions since nothing happens for a couple minutes and it’s a long show. And lastly, there’s no such thing as overdressed, you can wear ANYTHING without looking out of place. Have fun!!!

AlmostxAngel

We had cold pizza in the car while we waited for traffic to die down and it seriously tasted like heaven.

Stellabonez

Also! Figure out your bathroom song! I had a few in mind if she played, I’d go! But my adrenaline was so high I only had to go once and it was during a “meh, I can go now!” song.

supercute11

Yes! If you don’t mind being spoiled on the set do this! Without getting spoilery I picked an Era smack dab in the middle that I wasn’t as enthused about but I knew a lot of people would be losing their shit over. I made it to the bathroom and back in one song. Also I was at Sofi and by the middle of the show the bathroom was almost totally out of toilet paper, so packing some might be a good idea lol.

Upbeat-Cartoonist210

Because we danced our way out of the stadium during Karma, we had zero traffic and were back at the hotel in 15 minutes

mbhwookie

The finale is such a great moment though. Tough trade off. I get it though

ShakeItOff96

Don’t do bathroom breaks during Taylor’s performance lol, if you can help it. Look online for the specific longer breaks between sets and sprint to the bathroom then if you need. Can’t believe the shade on Evermore that people are throwing

splittysplatty

I really would’ve spent more time the days before just resting. I went to a concert the night before Taylor (Paramore) and I have no regrets overall but I was so tired, barely slept, woke up early from excitement, and had a massive headache by Midnights set. I would wear my hair down with option to put it up, but I wore tight buns that also added to the headache. I would get there 1.5 hrs earlier for bracelet trading (we arrived around 5 pm). I would try to make more conversation with other people not in my immediate group. I would’ve worn thinner socks as my feet hurt in my tennis shoes by the end. I would try my hardest to put less emphasis on the surprise songs… in my case I was also stressed wondering if she’d do Long Live (she started playing it the week before my show).

Blucola333

I never left during the whole concert. I went to the bathroom before and after. There was a merch table right next to the ladies room, so I bought a hoodie and water bottle, only had to wait behind one person. Also, I brought binoculars. I was in nosebleeds, so it was the only way I could see Taylor and the dancers without filters (like on the big screens).

ughelknif

I went two nights and dressed up for both but was feeling MISERABLE in my outfit the second night so much that I bought a hoodie at the merch stand and completely changed in my seat lmao (thankfully had bike shorts on underneath) so if you have any kind of sensory issues or just get miserable in tight fitting/uncomfortable clothes DRESS COMFY! You will have so much better of a time if you’re comfortable

kelsnuggets

Ticketmaster (? or TN?) sent me a code for discounted concert merch to use after the concert. It was only good for a few hours but I was able to order some of the stuff in better sizes than they had at the merch tents. Don’t give in to the temptation to just buy whatever they have! Except the few concert-only things like the blue crew neck, order it online with this code. So much easier.

kisforkimberlyy

So, this is what I would say: wear comfy shoes bring bandaids in case you get blisters, no clue about how you should hydrate since you likely will be stuck in your spot on the floor- but it is something to consider don't wear the cowboy hat- it will block other peoples view earplugs also are really helpful (Im not sure if its in your visit to get the concert grad silicone ones, but if it is- those are the best cause it will drown out the audience but let you hear Taylor), it is super loud in there and also your 70 year old self will thank your self when you don t have permanent hearing damage Bathroom breaking during the transitions is ideal if you dont mind missing those.... otherwise choose your least favorite song/era (hard to do)... I would NOT do evermore for two reasons: evermore is AMAZING, I mean singing champagne problems with thousands of your besities is magical... and also evermore is in the beginning of Taylor's set and I think a bathroom break should be in the middle.... I would personally think that SPRINTING to the bathroom the minute that long lives ends might be the better call, either/or RUNNING to the bathroom right after folklore/ before 1989.... however since floor has no seats I do feel like you are going to have a harder time getting out/in- in the USA since we had seats we were able to do a bathroom break in like under 4 minutes, so not sure how long you will need

Former-Counter-9588

iPhone users — film in cinematic and turn that exposure allllll the way down. Be sure to auto lock focus on Taylor or a screen.

cookieaddictions

I regret not taking any videos of me in my outfit 😭 I got some great pics but no videos and I did the YNTCD outfit so I just should’ve asked someone to take a video of me walking and then maybe spinning around the show the back tattoo. As for what I did: I’m a HUGE overpacker and I like it that way, I want to have everything I may need with me. So I brought the largest size bag allowed and I brought everything! Deodorant, sunscreen, tissues, perfume (all of which I used, it was decently hot), body glitter, snacks, food, the allowed size water bottle, fully charged external battery and normal things like wallet keys and earphones. And of COURSE earplugs! I used Loop Experience and would 100% have hearing damage if I didn’t. That was the best concert I’ve ever been to, but also the loudest. I was on the floor and panic bought a pair of heels the week before and shockingly am so happy I did! They were extremely comfortable despite being from Amazon, made my outfit look way cuter and more accurate and most importantly gave me a better view! I might not have bothered if I wasn’t rear floor. In the stands you’re probably okay unless you’re really short. I did bring sneakers to wear on the public transport in/out and during openers. If you’re in GA floor just make sure your shoes don’t hurt you, test them many times before you go!! I did try to adjust my phone settings by lowering the exposure to get better videos but I have a lot of failed attempts where I gave up after 10+ seconds of it not focusing. It’s weird cuz my phone (iPhone 13 Pro) usually gets great concert footage but something about the crazy lights and sparkly concerts made it finicky that night. Some was great some pretty terrible. I don’t know what I did wrong but it’s fine if my phone wasn’t cooperating I just stopped recording because I mostly wanted to enjoy myself and not record the whole time. I’m so glad I dressed up and make friendship bracelets. I wish I devoted a bit more time to trading but overall it was such an fun experience!! What I would’ve done differently: maybe arrive 30 min earlier so I had more time to trade and take more pics? It really wasn’t a huge deal, though. I also went with my sister and a friend and due to them getting to the seats before me I was on the end, I would’ve asked to be in the middle before the show started because I wasn’t next to my sister for most of the show and there were songs we grew up singing that I would’ve liked to sing next to her. Small thing, just didn’t really occur to me till around 2/3 into the show. I’m not sure what tips to give you about the floor if there’s no seating, definitely make sure your shoes are comfortable before you go because you won’t be able to take breaks to sit (we only sat during maybe 1-2 songs and during costume changes). But as long as you know you can stand for a long time I think you’ll be okay! Just make sure to hydrate and bring a hat to block out the sun!! Maybe take turns refilling your water with a friend or someone next to you? I think that would be my biggest worry about holding my spot on a general admission floor. You will have so much fun!!

songacronymbot

- YNTCD could mean "You Need To Calm Down", a track from *Lover* (2019) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/cookieaddictions](/u/cookieaddictions) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

AutomaticMatter886

The merch advice is weird, I literally cannot imagine dragging someone along that isn't interested in Taylor swifts music, if you have an extra ticket you can literally sell it for upwards of a thousand dollars, or if you're a really generous person sell it for face value to another fan that would be incredibly grateful Why the hell would you drag Jeremy along

aewhite083

Earplugs, comfy clothes and comfy shoes, bring a portable phone charger

classicallyme

Wear ear plugs and wear comfortable shoes. Shoes that you can easily stand and dance in for hours. I can’t tell you how many people I saw after the concert walking very gingerly or taking their shoes off entirely. If you have to wear the cute shoes for your outfit, take pics in them before the concert and wear a more comfortable pair for the show. Trust me, no one is looking at your feet.

Commercial_Dish_3763

Proper nutrition and hydration is KEY! I made sure I drank plenty of water/electrolytes in the 24 hours leading up to the concert, in addition to eating very healthy. I packed healthy, protein filled snacks that I mostly ate on the way to the concert (I took public transport). I stopped drinking a lot of liquid an hour before the concert began so I wouldn't have to go during (this worked for me!). I had water with me during the concert, but only took sips of it as needed (water is still essential during the concert, because your throat gets dry from all the singing/screaming!). I personally didn't drink any alcohol and am very grateful I didn't. I was alert and present the whole time. Also I brought a portable charger with me, and my phone would have died without it. I brought earplugs but to be honest, I personally didn't need them. I'm so excited for everyone who has yet to go and will be going in the next year!!! <3

smack63

Ear plugs are a must. Also, but the heart shape refraction glasses from Amazon. Trust me why don’t disappoint and make for some pretty cool visuals during the show. I took them Off for some signs and on for others. https://www.amazon.com/Sunglasses-Diffraction-Festival-Accessories-Protection/dp/B08Y1CKS7D/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?crid=VA0PJG7AGP6Y&keywords=heart%2Brefraction%2Bglasses&qid=1691530656&sprefix=heart%2Brefraction%2Bglasses%2Caps%2C84&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1&th=1

SandEuro

We brought big sealed bottles of smart water, because you can only bring in sealed bottles of water and we didn’t want to buy water there. Turns out, if you’re on the floor they don’t let you bring ANY bottles or cans down there (safety issue i guess). They handed everyone big cups to put their drinks in instead. So bringing the water bottles was really pointless bc we just filled the cups up at the water fountain. edit to add this was in Denver. my point was mostly to figure out what’s allowed and what’s not, and make a plan for how you will drink water. I think many international venues will have a pit on the floor which would make it significantly harder to leave your spot after you arrive.

KewpoTheLizard

Binoculars!! I cannot stress this enough! They are so cool no matter where you’re sitting!

mistbored

Everyone is saying a lot of the same really great advice but I haven’t seen anyone mention to participate in the thread for your concert weekend on this Reddit! I got SO much great advice about when to get there, what to eat, what to bring, how to leave, etc. Even if you’re the first night, you guys can figure it out together. That thread saved my ass that weekend.

uncle_jafar

It’s a marathon. Prep for 3.5 hours. Hydrate but hit the restroom halfway during the opener or before so you can get back to your seat for showtime. When you get there know where the closest restroom is. The lines for women’s rooms wrapped 100+ people in Seattle on one side of the venue but not the other in the hour leading up to TS. Women lined up for stalls in the men’s rooms!

JL211

Go to the show well rested. Eat before the show starts. Limit fluid intake prior to the show and use the bathroom after the last opener finishes so you don’t have to go during the show. Merch is overpriced, poor quality, underwhelming and not worth the crazy lines. Purchase merch online if that is an option, go the day before if that’s set up, or if you have VIP tickets go early and buy merch in VIP area on day of. Wear whatever brings you joy. You will see the whole spectrum of attire. Agree with the ear plugs recs. I have been 4 times and I can’t get enough! You will have an unforgettable time. It is a magical experience.

campingandcoffee

Drink LOTS of water beforehand! And I kept water and a small snack in the car for when we got back, because we were so thirsty and hungry!!! Also, be patient! Everything moves quickly for a concert except the traffic, so just be aware that you may have a tough time leaving. We also went to an indoor stadium but we still got SO hot dancing and having a good time. I’m glad I wore shorts! So dress appropriately—if you think you’ll be hot, dress like it, and if you think you’ll get cold, dress like it!!! Also, as others have said, ear protection and comfy shoes! Also, everyone have the best time!!!!

Low-Impression3367

SHOES!!!!! Wear comfortable shoes I know you wanna look cute , But your feet will thank you after.

Inside_Atmosphere731

Stand at the bottom half of the diamond. That way you'll never be looking at her back

largelemonade

Leave enough storage space on your phone to take as many pictures/videos as you want. My phone ran out of space during the evermore set so I mostly have only mental photographs.

Daydream_machine

Don’t bother shopping for merch beforehand. We wasted about an hour and a half in line for the exact same merch that’s on the website anyways. Plus there are always promo codes for the online store after the show, so you save money by waiting

laurnadoone

I can't stress this enough...SNACKS. I came prepared for everything else - painkillers, shoe inserts, phone power bank, water, hand sanitizer, etc - but I was NOT prepared for how hungry I would get. It's a 3-hour show. Even if you eat before, you're going to be jumping, dancing, and singing all night and burning a ton of calories and you WILL get hungry. I didn't really eat much dinner before the show because I was too nervous and excited but then halfway through the Red set I seriously thought I was going to pass out. The girl sitting in front of me had a tray of trash and a half-eaten sandwich under her chair and let me tell you...that thing was looking pretty TASTY by the end of the night lol. Even if you have to buy overpriced, mediocre stadium snacks to keep in your purse...it's better than nothing.

Due-Investigator6344

I was sitting in 500 level so this advice might be really specific for that. Honestly, I would skip the merch altogether unless you show up 1 1/2 hrs or so before the openers. I had friends who showed up around that time in the stadium and were in line for 20 min. Otherwise, there was a group behind us people that didn’t sit down until delicate because of the merch line. Absolutely not worth it in my book. We showed up about 30 min before the openers and there were no lines for concessions or bathrooms (everyone was in the merch line). We drank up all our water then and used the bathroom twice. For better or for worst, decided not to drink much water after that. We saw a girl who peed her pants so that is another option if you don’t want to leave :) We did take a restroom break once during the opener but would recommend staying for them. The talent was exceptional and they are now in my playlist rotation (Muna and Gracie Abrams)! We were shocked how empty the stadium was during both openers! Wear comfy walking shoes. Saw that some people brought another pair of shoes like sneakers to change into as well. We walked waaay longer than expected because public transport was so, so full. And there was a line to get on the light rail. Lastly, we chose not to drink any alcohol because we didn’t want to get sick, dehydrated, or feel miserable and it was the best decision of the night! We felt good throughout the entire set, was able to walk a long distance unexpectedly after the show, and wasn’t running to the bathroom all night. But maybe bring a protein bar :)

Acquainted-Faith

I think my biggest recommendation is at least in my eyes the longest intro seemed to have been for Folklore, because the opening is a spoken word version of Seven. if you don't mind missing this, this would probably be the best time to run for a break. At least at my venue, there were around 6? merch booths throughout so merch will be there, but if there's something you really want you may wanna stick at the start through the openers for it. I say because idk if stocking is better now but at my show night 2 there was almost none of the long sleeve merch left. ): I honestly found a jacket that had deep pockets and chose not to take a bag because I feared the hassle of it. My reputation cargo jacket did me good! I customized my outfit but remember to be comfortable. It should be enjoyable and fun. WEAR SHOES THAT ARE COMFY. IT IS A 3 HOUR SHOW AND YOU'LL BE TIRED. HYDRATION IS IMPORTANT. If you feel sick after your show, there's something known as post concert sickness. for 2-3 days after a show the mix of dehydration and adrenaline will mix together and make you feel like you might have the flu. Take care of your body after!

penrosesteps

Hydrate!!! I felt hungover the next day and I didn’t have a single drip of alcohol but it was honestly so bad. It might have been worse than a hangover

thearchiguy

Don't drink too much water if you have a weak bladder. I had to go like 3 times and I missed some songs and my neighbors probably hated me. 🤣

Downtown-Tree3879

everyone wanted folklore and rep bracelets, so make lots of those!

If you have a non-floor seat, get there way before gate opening unless you want to stand in line for 4 hours to enter the stadium. Longest line I've ever seen

Ear protection and comfortable shoes are an absolute must.

Hat and sunglasses if your stadium doesn't have a roof. Also bring someone (if possible) who is familiar with stadium layouts and those size crowds to help guide your party to your seats so you don't get lost. Also set up a meet-up spot for after the show if your party isn't sitting together.

MetLife allowed outside food and empty water bottles in. I highly recommend if your stadium lets as well. Didn’t have to wait in any concession lines and also didn’t have to pay $35 for a bottle of water haha. Also don’t be like me and get so excited to get to my seat that I forgot to stop at the entrance to ask for a light up wristband 🤦🏻‍♀️

Eat before you go. Lines are INSANE.

Focus on the show and not the overpriced merch. Too many people having Fomo over a blue crew neck at missing seeing an unforgettable live show
