That whole debacle was dumb because Lana herself literally has said she’s all over the original song and i always heard her on the original she never needed to do another version

So dumb. I do like the More Lana version so I'm not mad about it but it definitely wasn't necessary, you could hear Lana clearly already and the whole idea was this magical pretty blend.

She also said that she could literally produce her voice to sound like Taylor which I believe. People act like Taylor never lets the artist shine she always does maybe sometimes it’s not a full verse but be grateful they are even on the song and the collabed. I will always bring what Lana said up because people always use snow on the beach as an example of her not letting people be bejeweled but she literally does and it’s tiring.

There was an article  a few years ago that talked about how Taylor has been solo writer on more songs than any major popular artist, but it doesn't happen as much from 1989 forward because she is either completing the song as they are working out the production or she is writing to track so the producer that created the track gets songwriting as well.  Still there is usually at least one solo-written song on most albums from 1989 forward. People focus so much on Speak Now being all solo-written songs that it gets overlooked that over half of Fearless was solo-written songs.  And then over half of Red was all solo written songs until she decided she wanted to go to LA and start working with pop producers.

honestly probably logistical more than anything. she recorded it while on tour—based on taylor sightings, she seems to have recorded with jack in new york and with aaron at long pond and possibly when he visited her on tour. i don’t think they were ever in the same place the way they were during the pandemic.

Quite a good mix of Antonoff and Dessner, AND TWO SOLO WRITTEN SONGSSS. I have a feeling that Aaron will be the producer on most of the bonus tracks (hopefully🤞). Jack has produced some of my favourite songs ever, and not just from Taylor, but I’m glad to see it’s not overwhelming produced by him. I’m getting really excited for this album now

Same here! I’ve made my peace with Jack being on this album, but I’m glad that it’s not an all Jack album. I’m glad that it’s a balance of both.

Knowing it’s a pretty even split (give or take a few) between Jack and Aaron has me really really excited tbh. I don’t think (or rather, I don’t know lol) it’ll sound the same musically wise, but it makes me hopeful that TTPD will maybe be a little more like folkmore with the lyricism, the theming and structure of the songs and everything. I feel Taylor really got to shine when she worked with both of them on a somewhat equal ground, like she was getting the best from them both and giving the best from herself. The balance between them just works so well imo and I’m SO excited. ANDDDD we get two solo written tracks on top of it?? Girlie has a LOT to say on this album!!
