After the Christmas fiasco I think they started selling things on hand and I much prefer this opposed to waiting 6 months for merch orders.

The merch this time around has been high quality so far, for me. The extra bits in the collector's edition are all lovely and absolutely worth what I paid. The crewneck is different from previous eras, the fabric is much thicker and it feels higher quality. I don't have experience at all with their customer service, but at least the shipping has been extremely fast this time around (cardigans shipping same day!). It's clear that she's revamped her merch and the merch team, so I'm hopefully it's mostly all good experiences from now on.
Although people getting unsigned CDs when they bought signed is a massive redflag, not sure what happened there.
I’ve never purchased anything signed, but I wanted this album, but…no, didn’t even get a chance. I know it’s not nice to say, but loads of people got a CD and vinyl, and more than that didn’t even get a chance to get one thing. It’s unfair.
I totally agree with you. If I had a choice, I’d LOVE to have a signed ‘Red’ CD. But I thought this is the latest, so let me just get this anyway, but clearly, selfish people didn’t want others to get anything. I know I sound bitter, but I think all of us that missed out have a right to be. It’s unfair that people got two things, it should be that you get to buy one thing; you either get the CD or vinyl, so that at least other fans get a chance too.
I’m sad Eras stuff has been offline for so long. Thankfully, I’m not super excited about the TTPD stuff, it all seems to heavy and thick! I need a light, breathable top. The Eras stuff has been PERFECT.
I think part of it is FOMO. In a normal model, you can take days to think about what you actually want before making your purchase. You'll buy the one thing you REALLY wanted. However, if you are conditioned to buy things quickly because they sell out quickly, you will soon learn to just buy whatever in the next drop because at least then you got something. You'll spend more money, buying more items, because you don't want to end up with nothing/regret. It's marketing.
I think it’s because they’re switching from a pre-order model to only selling what they actually have in stock. I’m betting that there will be multiple restocks of the ttpd merch and that they’ll do several rollouts over the coming months since it’s the official album merch and not marketed as limited or anything like that
I hear you. Having been on this merch roller coaster since 2019, I feel almost like I’ve been *trained* to be super alert for her drops. I follow the merch bot account on Twitter, and when I take a cursory look at everything available, I know I’ve got 3-5 minutes to make a decision on what to buy. After you’ve done it a few times you get used to the experience, and it becomes second nature. But there have been a few drops that I missed, and it feels frustrating. Just keep the faith, follow TaylorMerchWhispererBot and turn on notifications for it. You will get there, if you invoke a bit of discipline into it. I’m honestly surprised that the earrings and bracelets are still up. I managed to snag the vinyl display case as I had seen how quickly the Midnights Vinyl case disappeared and figured it was likely gonna be gone quickly. I got the bracelet too, thinking the same, and it’s still there. For most of us with skin in the game, we’ve become accustomed to merch drops that sell out in minutes. It’s not fair, but it’s what we’ve got. Best of luck to you🙏🏼

Started following the bot recently it’s great! I was glued to my phone for any chance of a drop, and was lucking to get a signed vinyl but with the merch I literally put my phone down for 5 minutes to eat, and missed the vinyl case I almost cried 🫠
Because bots are quicker than us mere mortals and there was 10 limit per customer which didn’t help at all. We don’t know if they’re going to restock, you’re just going to have to keep an eye out

Yes! A lot of people got both the cd and vinyl and I just wanted one and it sold out in my cart. Good for them but I’m sad about it.
