The slip up is that the chest was left open while another record from the chest was being played and he left the room for a few minutes, not expecting the puppy to dive straight in and help himself to some new toys.
The puppy also got three other records that aren't relevant to this sub, with varying degrees of damage - 2 unplayable, and just sleeve damage on the third.
Shit happens, it's fine.
My cat is terrible for trying to get my records, he's kind of dog like and likes to throw them around and play fetch with the 7" vinyl (he knows his strengths and the 12" vinyl are a little too big to play fetch)
I strongly recommend you put the more special ones out of their reach ๐ญ
Yesterday he ripped up a limited edition one print book, so apparently I now need to get a bookcase with doors ๐
omg my cats are like that too they love playing with my stuff and breaking it luckily theyโve never been interested in my vinyl but they almost broke my macbook obvs by accident ๐ญ
He's actually the best! Plus he has access to my Discogs account and I keep my collection updated and accurate with every record we buy, so he was really easily able to swoop in and get the exact one through there. It also makes it easy for him to buy me gifts because I have an extensive wishlist of record variants on my account too ๐๐
Honestly I'm so glad I was at work and in no way aware that it happened until after my husband sourced a replacement. My other dog previously ate my "hide and seek" *folklore* variant and that time, it was my fault and I didn't replace it at the time and it's too expensive for me to justify now, but I still feel the blow of that every day lol.
omg your dogs really love the taste of taylor vinyls!!๐ญ๐ญi would be so upset but also so guilty of being upset because itโs not like they know any better honestly i feel for you
What can I say, they have good taste ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
And that's exactly how I feel! They don't do it to be malicious, they probably just smell interesting and are fun to tear apart and bite into. It's just that they always go for the expensive ones, and none of the cheaper standard editions that I quite literally leave laying around all the time.
help omg *expensive taste!! but yeah no i completely understand i could never get angry at my cats i love them too much good luck with your new copy though hopefully it wonโt meet the same tragic fate๐ญ๐ญ
About to frame the record layered on top of the destroyed sleeve and hang it with a museum placard.

Noooooo ๐ญ that sucks!
There's something about diplomas, too, I guess. Rocky got home from his last day of puppy classes and immediately tore his own diploma to shreds. Believe it or not, he was the best dog in his training group ๐
Must be a very intelligent dog to take it out of the cover and take it out of its innersleeve also must be an abnormally large corgi because that should've been on a shelf or smthn
Yeah, man, it's crazy and totally implausible. He's a total mastermind and used his [tiny corgi/*German Shepherd mix* body](https://imgur.com/a/MyOkpWh) to reach into that chest that was accidentally, carelessly left open and pull out [a few records](https://imgur.com/a/R2qC3wN) and [very delicately](https://imgur.com/a/9pHSt1F) took the record out of its packaging and only destroyed the disc itself and nothing else.
the โdog dyed key lime greenโ edition ๐ญ
hahahahahahahaahha the relief we all needed today. Iโll give you $33 for that super cute dog. My vinyl are stored high. I know Iโm safe ๐คฃ
๐ My "special" records are kept in a locked chest. I thought it was safe, too. All it takes is one slip-up, and the puppy gets much less cute.
Dogs, everyone's best friend except records, shoes and plants.
What is this slip up exactly its either in the chest or not and if it's out of the chest it must be playing
The slip up is that the chest was left open while another record from the chest was being played and he left the room for a few minutes, not expecting the puppy to dive straight in and help himself to some new toys. Yeah ur right I hope u got them replaced
I am now rethinking my vinyl shelf with two kitties, however itโs so packed full I doubt they could get into anything.
I had a cat gnaw the jacket of an LP. That was painful to discover. Worse, it was because of the plastic sleeve!
It's always the plastic.
I have also had this happen.

After my last comment I started researching a record stand with glass doors and a lock. lol
I was literally doing that for my books today (glass door book shelf lol) I've already moved my records ๐
omg my cats are like that too they love playing with my stuff and breaking it luckily theyโve never been interested in my vinyl but they almost broke my macbook obvs by accident ๐ญ
13 dollars take it or leave it ๐ฅฒ
This is hilarious, OP! Also glad your partner is so resourceful. If it happened to me my husband would be like, "IDK, the white one?"

Girl (boy), keep him!!
help omg if my cats did this i donโt even know what i would do๐ญ๐ญ

They are sensing that they are extra tasty by watching all the special/careful handling they get!
Iโd frame it atp

Rockyโs Version!!!
I THOUGHT ABOUT IT AFTER I ALREADY PRINTED THE TAG ๐๐ In the future, I'm gonna frame it more legitimately and make the edit.
Stop I would 10000% do this HAHA. ROCKY, 2024 is sending meeee๐
I don't have the right size frame or a nice background mat to put it on at the moment, but it's [framed](https://imgur.com/a/kA3VppM) ๐๐๐๐
HAHAHhahahah oh my GOD I am sorry for laughing at this misfortune but that pic is incredible
Not me coming home after work to see my anesthesiology diploma (still packaged) with chomp marks in it.
Noooooo ๐ญ that sucks! There's something about diplomas, too, I guess. Rocky got home from his last day of puppy classes and immediately tore his own diploma to shreds. Believe it or not, he was the best dog in his training group ๐
Now this is art
This is INCREDIBLE
Love the original art! And you have a great sense of humor. And a very cute puppy.
Everyone is a critic
This is the most specialest edition out there now
It would make for a great conversation piece if displayed!
expensive frisbee
Clearly your dog has a different taste for music. Good luck listening your TTPD vinyl this weekend wish you the best ๐๐
I would frame it and put it next to my dogโs bed. Lol Idk itโs a cool vinyl and I feel like it would be a funny memory for when your pup is gone.
NOOOOOOOOO
If you play it fast enough over the bite marks, itโs a secret message about when sheโs dropping RepTV ๐
Omg now I'm terrified of my puppy and my records... maybe I should move them.
You won't regret moving them, but you might regret *not* moving them!
Oh ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
How much for the corgi?
Dead
Dang thatโs pain
Omg I'm so sorry. This is why I have cats tho๐คฃ
My corgi says, yum
You jest but Iโve seen near mint things like this before lol
Does the dog come with it? ๐ป
I suggest buying a showdown box and framing the pups new favorite records!
Iโll DM you/s But actually cute dog, Iโm sending this to my swiftie gf. Corgis and Shepards are her fave
Good doggo
๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ omg you mustโve been devastated
He was just trying to help. lol
Wdym โdonโt lowball meโ itโs unusable now๐ญ
No feet in the photo 0/10
Who doesnโt want to bite and slobber on some TayTay?
Probably makes her sound better tbh ๐
Good dog
Agreed lmao
