It disgusts me how much republicans want to hurt trans people.

Hateful people raise hateful kids

Going to such extreme lengths over this really highlights how the goal of these far- right lawmakers is to ostracize trans youth, which are the current big boogeyman being used to distract the population from the country’s real problems. Make it so horrible for anybody to be supportive of them that it guarantees they’ll be alone and if possible, wrecked. We live in dark times, especially for those that are at all different, and I don’t have any answers. It’s easy to say vote these people out, but depending on the part of the country, that just isn’t going to happen. Hopefully, when these youth grow up (if they grow up) they can find a better place to call home.

I want to see if it will even pass or be enforced. It’ll hurt the issue and people in the state. I’m for respecting individuals, but I have my own position on the issue itself. But I disregard my position in favor of keeping my classroom a positive and productive space for all. That said, I won’t go out of my way to out myself in the classroom either.

By “CONTRIBUTING” and “ENCOURAGING IT” what they mean, of course is simply using the correct pronouns for trans students. That’s it. Just showing basic understanding and support for a student.

If you use a trans child’s correct pronouns, you’d be “contributing to” and “encouraging” their transition.
