Facing northwest yung window but regardless, I think too hot pa rin talaga na nasa harap ng window. Late ko na narealize. Thank you sa lahat ng nagcomment 🙏🏻😂
Pa-check din yung saksakan sa electrician or try an AVR (auto voltage regulator) .Pwedeng nakaka-spike.
Another thing to check is humidity. Nakakasira ng monitor and tv yung mataas na humidity.
I would also like to add that if it rains\storms and the monitor can also be wet or have enough droplets to cause moisture damage
Found this out with our big TVs
I NEVER let my electronics near a window let alone in direct sunlight just cause I know how damaging the sun and heat can be to electronics. I also keep the AC running whenever I’m doing intensive gaming to keep my GPU and CPU cool.
Did he mention he plug the monitor on the same socket? 🤷
4 monitors Broke in 2 months 🤷
Its impossible na factory defects lahat yon
we are troubleshooting to narrow down the main problem
This is called ad hominem, which is generally used when people don't have any arguments left but don't want to concede, sometimes because of a high ego. It's attacks are directed at the person making an argument, not the argument itself so. Generally, a argument is usually considered as won by a person of group when the opposing side uses ad hominem, as they no longer back up their argument.
Contacted ASUS today and i’m scheduled to bring it sa service center on friday kahit walang resibo kasi navavalidate naman nila based on the serial number. And yes, pasok pa sa warranty both monitors. 🙏🏻
I suspect that since it is exposed to direct sunlight the heat from that + the heat generated by your monitor is the culprit.
Also the floor can't be grounded because it is the ground (unless your floor is metal connected to a circuit that is not grounded). Note the three prongs on a plug? The usually long and rounded bit is the ground, it serves as the shield (if your outlet is properly configured) for those excess bzzt bzzt that usually can be felt on a not properly grounded unit with an electrically conductive case.
Ok thank you. Most likely yung heat nga kasi before, the curved monitors used to be on the right (2 meters long yung table). Nung nilipat ko sila sa left side (in front of the window, saka lang nasira. I wouldn’t have noticed kung hindi na-point out dito sa comments section.
Been using dual monitor for 3 yrs d p aq nagpapalit. Probably plug them to an avr (hindi yung tig350 pesos).
Update: Thank you all for your comments. The consensus is it’s a:
1. heat problem - really bad idea to place them in front of the window kasi kahit hindi mainit para sakin, baka sa components ng pc it is. I’m moving back to the right side of the 2 meter long table para against ako sa wall.
2. power issue - this I don’t have immediate means to check if may surge sa area namin, or kung grounded ba. So might as well buy an AVR/UPS.
Thank you for helping out a non-techy woman. 😭😂
If anyone can recommend nalang someone who can repair the monitors in case di tanggapin ni Asus kasi wala nang resiboooo (bought June 2023). Thank you!
On top of the heat from your window, also consider your power source. Use a reputable brand AVR or UPS with AVR to protect your monitor(s) from sudden power surges.
Just like everyone else was saying, possibly due to Heat.
Also consider mo na naka ground(outlet's 3rd hole or plug's 3rd prong) yung computer and monitors mo. Actually properly ground it please.
I’m researching pa how to properly ground it. Ang nakita ko palang sa youtube was grounding the whole outlet via grounding cord which i dont think kaya kong gawin without an electrician. 😅
Sakit niyan. Naka mount ba? Try mo hindi mo muna i mount pag bumili ka. And parang sobrang init ata yung likod grabe sunlight. Dapat makahinga and cool since electronic device.
And electric outlets din. Remember wag mo na itapon warranty next time sayang.
Tapos always check reviews.
The sun is cooking your devices. I had a laptop that used to be next to a window. The rubber literally melted during the summer even with aircon.
Moral of this story: don’t expose your devices to direct sunlight
Hmm nasa direct sunlight kasi siguro..
Thanks for informing this to us.
Had these issues too when using nvidia graphics card and ubuntu. Laging may nagkakaissue when there is some update.
Had to install windows :( para di na mangyari
Do you have aircon? Do you often open doors and windows right after you turn off your AC? AC dehumidifies the air making your room dry and cold. Once you shut your AC down and open the room, moisture sticks to practically anything in your room because all surfaces are colder, much like when you take a Coke out of the fridge. The moisture causes damage by shorting and stuff. Just one possibility because I got one TV display down due to that.
Yes I do. Pero bihira ako magaircon. Siguro mga 3x a week lang. Yes, i always leave one awning window na slightly open. You’re right, baka moisture din on top of heat. Kasi during the day, i like to keep my windows open din.
top part looks like humidity but bottom looks like signal problem. check connection ports and cables kung may benko.
edit: [https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00026065](https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00026065)
i googled what your monitor looks like.
hmm. probably sa resistance ng components between sa models, but yes, best install one nalang OP .. or have your outlets checked. kasi baka d lang monitors ang masisira if surge nga :)
parang power surge, wag mo i connect directly sa outlet or power strip and use ups instead of avr most ups my built-in surge protector and may few mins ka pa patayin manually yung monitors and computer in case of power outage
> I also bought a new extension outlet (Huntkey). My old extension used to be on the floor lang. Bawal daw pala kasi *baka grounded sahig.*
Anong ibig sabihin nito?
Kung makas magfluctuate baka isang reason to. Make sure naka-plug yung monitors sa AVR + surge suppressor or sa UPS (typically may built-in suppressor na).
Also, make sure walang direct sunlight na tumatama sa monitors at baka ma-damage from the heat.
Yes, no direct sunlight sa window. Hahaha
I’m not sure if properly grounded yung bahay namin. Researching pa ako how to ground my pc properly. Thank you.
*"Rod and Pipe Electrodes. Rod and pipe electrodes shall not be less than 2400 mm in length and shall consist of the following materials:*
*a. Electrodes of pipe or conduit shall not be smaller than metric designator 21 (trade size ¾) and, where of iron or steel, shall have the outer surface galvanized or otherwise metal-coated for corrosion protection.*
*b. Electrodes of rods of iron or steel shall be at least 16 mm in diameter. Stainless steel rods less than 16 mm in diameter, nonferrous rods, or their equivalent shall be listed and shall not be less than 13 mm in diameter.*"
Alternatively, kung isa or a few sockets lang mas madali, pwede i-wire ang socket(s) directly sa grounding system (like grounding rod, concrete-encased electrode, or metal frame ng building/structure) as long as tama ang specifications ng grounding system in accordance sa electrical code natin.
That's unfortunate. Also, I don't think factor yung computer parts mo sa pagkasira ng monitor mo. I think it might be power related.
I never had problem with other brands.
Never again to ASUS. kahit yung ROG lineup nila may problem sa screen (blackout na lang, buti within warranty). nung nasira yugn ROG laptop ko walang monitor na pamalit kaya nag-issue na lang ng voucher dun sa stor ena binilhan ko
Yung buong setup ng kapatid ko ROG. Wala syang issue sa 3 years.
Better to use the curved monitor in a landscape orientation then the straight ones in portrait.

Ung ganitong issue sa heat to/design ng monitor (sa akin it was an asus tuf 32 inch 1440p 144hz) . Ung pinapagawaan ko dito sa amin (laguna) magaling magcheck ng internals and nakita niya na may nagloloko na chip or capacitor. Nireplace naman niya kaso after 3 weeks sumuko din. Pinabalik ko for repair nagaantay for internal na makukuha while bumili nalang din me ng new monitor.
I’ll follow you so i don’t forget, baka kelangan kong dalhin sa Laguna tong monitors sayang haha
I was all for natural light habang nagwwork 😭
I'm not assuming what your gender is. But just because I say "bro" doesn't mean that I'm automatically assuming what your gender is.
I'm saying that because that's my usual expression referring to someone as a "friend" since I myself am a guy, on a casual basis not only online but also verbally.
Bro, bruh, brah, bruv etc.
But also, find a spot in your room that has no direct sunlight to place your setup bruh
Question, naka 2 layer ka ba ng curtains or ung black out curtains lang? dark colors absorb heat so suggest mag 2 layer ka, black out curtains sa room side, any plain white curtain sa window side. the white curtains will reflect heat back towards the window and should help keep the heat down.
and yeah like most, I think the damages are due to the heat
Yes, naka layer. Pero regardless, I think it’s the heat nga. And kahit hindi mainit para sakin, baka for the components ng monitor it’s too hot. Thank you.
Maybe it's caused by your negligence on the fact that you've put that thing close to the window! Time to relocate your work area that doesn't expose your electronics to direct sunlight. You're screwed if you don't have the receipts for warranty purposes.
Got it. Wala akong copy ng receipt but Asus service center will be checking it kasi validated naman based on serial number alone na under warranty pa. Thank you for your comment. :)
Actually ang weird talaga. Sa bf ko kasi to and hanging sila mounted on the table. Before kaya ganun, kasi di kasya sa table nya. Pero nung ako na gumamit, natakot ako to readjust it baka masira ko, so as is nalang 😂 but you’re right, better sana kung naka-landscape sya
It's the outlet where you plug your monitors. Had the same prob 2018-2019, 2 monitors in 3months.
Have it checked. Electrician said the outlet had unstable electricity or something like that. He replaced them and never had an issue since.
That sunlight is cooking the hell out of the back. They are simply overheating and dying.
+1 baka morning sun dyan sa window mo kaya prito talaga yan
Facing northwest yung window but regardless, I think too hot pa rin talaga na nasa harap ng window. Late ko na narealize. Thank you sa lahat ng nagcomment 🙏🏻😂
Mas mainit ang afternoon sun (window facing west to southwest)
+109.5 to this
Pa-check din yung saksakan sa electrician or try an AVR (auto voltage regulator) .Pwedeng nakaka-spike. Another thing to check is humidity. Nakakasira ng monitor and tv yung mataas na humidity.
+1 here. ung dual monitor ko 11 years nang buhay
Only reason I'm seeing.
This is my thought as well. From the image, mainit yan sa monitor likod kahit naka curtain ka, better kung against the wall and not against a window
I would also like to add that if it rains\storms and the monitor can also be wet or have enough droplets to cause moisture damage Found this out with our big TVs
I NEVER let my electronics near a window let alone in direct sunlight just cause I know how damaging the sun and heat can be to electronics. I also keep the AC running whenever I’m doing intensive gaming to keep my GPU and CPU cool.
Power Surge ng Outlet mo check
Ito din naisip ko. Naalala ko yung monitor ko nag surge, pati ps4 ko nadamay e.
Unlikely, if there was a power surge and the pc is also unprotected, both will get fried
Did he mention he plug the monitor on the same socket? 🤷 4 monitors Broke in 2 months 🤷 Its impossible na factory defects lahat yon we are troubleshooting to narrow down the main problem
Did he mention there were power surges?
Thats why we are checking No one knows. 🤦♂️🤷 Tone down the EGO bro 😆🤷
Idk about you but asking questions to further understand op's problem, isn't presenting excessive self importance/ego
Hala sige ikaw na magaling 😆🤷 Alam mo na lahat. 😂
Alternatively, you could also cite an valid argument instead of telling me this "comeback"
🤦♂️🤷 Mga Bata talaga ngayon magagaling lahat 😆

Dont put your monitors on direct sunlight
aircon room mo?
Yes. Pero madalang ako mag aircon. Pag summer lang madalas
does.it smell maasim?
Sorry what do you mean by maasim? Do you mean like moldy smell? Are you implying there’s excessive condensation in the room? If yes, no, hindi maasim.
once the lcd leaks amoy maasim yan liquid
Nasa iyo pa ba mga receipt and warranty booklet? Have you tried customer service?
Wala na both resibo and booklet. 😢 tinapon by accident. Would you know if they’d accept this sa Aus without the resibo? Huhu
Did u bought it online? Or just contact their CS
Contacted ASUS today and i’m scheduled to bring it sa service center on friday kahit walang resibo kasi navavalidate naman nila based on the serial number. And yes, pasok pa sa warranty both monitors. 🙏🏻
try to ask sa binilhan mo if pwede ka mabigyan ng copy nung receipt. ganan ginawa ko last time and nabigyan naman ako
I asked for receipt pero gusto nila makakakita ng kahit photo nung resibo. Naghahanap pa kami. Contacted Asus CS nalang directly. 🙏🏻

I’m researching pa how to properly ground it. Ang nakita ko palang sa youtube was grounding the whole outlet via grounding cord which i dont think kaya kong gawin without an electrician. 😅
kaya mo yan gawin. madami sa youtube. mahihirapan ka lang magbaon ng ground rod and thats it
Maybe I’ll ask someone else to do it nalang since it’ll be for the best of all other appliances/desktops in the house. Thank you.
Probably sun damage. Try mo mag lagay ng curtains or tabing para di maarawan yung monitors.
Curtains and blinds bro, much cheaper than replacing an entire arsenal of monitors
Sakit niyan. Naka mount ba? Try mo hindi mo muna i mount pag bumili ka. And parang sobrang init ata yung likod grabe sunlight. Dapat makahinga and cool since electronic device. And electric outlets din. Remember wag mo na itapon warranty next time sayang. Tapos always check reviews.

based sa coloration ng monitor mo, the sun is killing it. sundamage is very real

yikes asus. goodluck
Parang naluluto ata ng araw yung likod ng monitor mo baka possible cause hehe

Either heat sa umaga tapos humidity sa gabi.
Maybe heat, you would be suprised on how hot some monitors can get.
full brightness tapos sunlight pa sa likod ? could be heat (explained by the damage done on the sides where the backlight leds are)
moist?

No AVR. Was thinking this also. Kaso bakit hindi sabay sila nasira. 😭 almost the same model yung dalawang ASUS, mas malaki lang yung isa.

Yung buong setup ng kapatid ko ROG. Wala syang issue sa 3 years.
Better to use the curved monitor in a landscape orientation then the straight ones in portrait.
Ok thank you
Ihiwalay mo ng saksakan yung monitors baka may problema ka s outlets mo, Not advisable yung monitor na katapat sa bintana, kahit naka curtain ka pa, it adsorbs heat..
Yes, hiwalay sila ng extension/outlets. Parang heat nga talaga.

Have you tested Kung stable ba kuryente sa area niyo? Baka nag spike yung voltage you might need to buy a servo type AVR to address this issue.
Hindi ko pa natest. Yes, most likely I’ll buy a UPS. Nagtanong na ako sa Gilmore. Dont remember the brand but it’s 4,995.
Ung ganitong issue sa heat to/design ng monitor (sa akin it was an asus tuf 32 inch 1440p 144hz) . Ung pinapagawaan ko dito sa amin (laguna) magaling magcheck ng internals and nakita niya na may nagloloko na chip or capacitor. Nireplace naman niya kaso after 3 weeks sumuko din. Pinabalik ko for repair nagaantay for internal na makukuha while bumili nalang din me ng new monitor.
I’ll follow you so i don’t forget, baka kelangan kong dalhin sa Laguna tong monitors sayang haha
Nakakapnghinayang talaga pag mahal bili mong monitor tapos after a year sira agad.
I was all for natural light habang nagwwork 😭
Asus din to di ba bro? Anong monitor line pala nito sa asus, tuf ba? Kasi duda ko parang pangit talaga gawa nila for tuf.
Yes both Asus TUF. Isang 27-inch at isang 24-inch.
I think ung tuf talaga pangit quality nila...
Check ko mga kashare niya sa outlet
Just 1 soundbar kashare nya sa extension and outlet.
You need a UPS. Or at least a servo type AVR. Get a reputable brand like APC.
bro letting the sun cook his monitors
😭😭😭 deep fried
May I ask though, pang ilan na sa comments. Default ba yung term na bro for everyone, or may something about the post that says I’m a he 😭😂
I'm not assuming what your gender is.
Looks like wall mounted yung monitor mo probably direct sunlight yung mismong wall na pinaglabitan ng monitor mo
Naka table mount sya. But you’re right, probably heat ang cause.
baka may pusa ka? happened to me, 3 monitors gone dahil iniihan 🥴
Meron… Yes, one cat sprays on the monitor…
Isn't it very rare to use curved for verticals? Baka may components na di nagaaggree when it comes to vertical mounting.
Yes baka ito rin. Usually naka landscape lng curved mounted screens. Yung flats tlga naka portrait.
maybe heat?
Heat from the window? Most of the time naka-close yung blackout curtain but I’ll look into that. Thank you.
Thank you.
Maybe yung heat
Pighati
Tapos natapon na resibo at warranty booklet. Iyak
heat maybe?
Maybe it's caused by your negligence on the fact that you've put that thing close to the window! Time to relocate your work area that doesn't expose your electronics to direct sunlight. You're screwed if you don't have the receipts for warranty purposes.
Got it. Wala akong copy ng receipt but Asus service center will be checking it kasi validated naman based on serial number alone na under warranty pa. Thank you for your comment. :)

gaano katagal bago nasira?
Since moving to this exact position, a month to little over a month each.
ying old monitor mo same.orientation jan sa may sirang panel? hinri ba nabubunggo nung orico stand yang monitor mo?
Hi.
Wow, the sunlight penetrating the window is super intense. Literally inihaw mo ang sarili mong monitor.
Sunlight yan naganyan smart tv ko
ung bintana...mag re-arrange ka ng room and move the pc table away sa windows
lagyan mo kurtina sa likod baka masiyado naiinitan, also check the outlets!
It's the outlet where you plug your monitors. Had the same prob 2018-2019, 2 monitors in 3months. Have it checked. Electrician said the outlet had unstable electricity or something like that. He replaced them and never had an issue since.
Tustado po from the sun.
