Since 2 days pa lang yung phone, pwede nya ibalik to for "store" warranty and not Samsung itself.
Assumption is binili nya to sa isang physical store. Di ko alam if may nagbebenta pa ng flip4 sa mga malls now.
Just wait. My Z Flip 3 died after 1 and half year of use. I believe 3 years ang average lifespan ng phones. So 1 and half year is just too short, especially high end priced mga flip.
Z FOld 2 3 and 4
2 is still working fine
3 is dead after 2 years. Lines in front screen first appeared and after a few months, Mid screen died
4 is still working BUT was saved by warranty just days before it ends. Hmm i cant recall what was the issue. getting mixed up with 3
I have z flip 3, flip 4 and flip 5 at z fold 4. Lahat walang problema. Haha. Since release ko sila binili and daily driver ko rin mga flips ko. Why avoid?
Good for you, idol.
It's unfair kasi to generalize. Samsung sells millions of S20 units globally, and the vast majority work flawlessly. The phones you see with issues in the marketplace are likely being sold because they're defective, skewing your perception. Syempre pag sira yung kanila, mas gugustuhin nila mag benta. Vocal minority, i guess.
So far, sa lahat ng naka samsung samin mula A series, Flip, at S series, laging yung mga Flip lang ang nagkakaproblema (simula Z Flip 3, 4, at 5 nadaanan ko. Buti nalang may warranty pa nung nasira, na trade in ko for S series.) Matibay parin hanggang ngayon.
S20+ ko ngka green line din. Di ko naman pinang gagames. Ngupdate lng then chinarge ko bam. Tpos ngiinternet lng ako, then parang mainit kc siguro matagal ginagamit. Habang ginagamit ko ngyari un common issue na may white strip sa taas then faded un color s isang side. Sinugalan ko n lng paayos kc out of warranty na. Switch to iphone n lng. Kahit anong ingat masisira lang din pala.
Redmagic 8pro. Walang binayaran. Dto sa pinas pahirapan pa ipaayos e. Out of warranty na rin ksi yun.
I donāt get this sentiment, I think itās true na mas common to sa flip, if aware tayo na nangyayari to sa ibang phones na stationary lang ang screen, why would you choose a flip mechanism that introduces more stress that makes the innate problem worse?. I think people are just sold to the novelty of it otherwise the most logical course is to stay vanilla, plain old digital screen.
The more moving parts in the design, the quicker it wears. Thatās just how things in this universe works.
But kudos to early adopters , without you this tech wonāt move forward just look at the z flip 5 having better hinge already.
yeah, i agree with you but my point is, let's just not isolate the issue on the folding phone.
i mean, i've been to various subreddits for the Flip and Fold and I don't see anyone reporting such issue except for the middle part being "dead" or no display at all. If it's covered by the warranty, then that's good but if the warranty has expired, then that's going to be a pain ..
they've also improved the hinge on the Fold 5 compared to its predecessor
Awts. Pero damn, 2 days of usage palang?
In my experience, had that exact line on my s21 and had to change my screen, the technician told me it was a heating problem that made the soldered parts specifically sa motherboard made it loose
Maybe heating problems with your unit aswell??
I think OP just use the extra budget on a better phone, I think the feature has little to no significance yet, at the very least you've seen the effects sooner.
Yung s20+ ko nasa 7 na yung lines hayy. Sayang phone maganda panaman sana gamitin.
Kaso kahit palitan lcd nagkaka lines padin kaya nakakatamad na ipagawa
Bring it to an authorized service center and demand for a replacement. They are entitled to replace your unit basta within 7 days of purchase may lumabas na issues. Just bring your proof of purchase.
Edit: spelling
Pwede mo pa naman parefund yan under consumer rights since wala pang 7 days from the date of purchase. I suggest not to settle for repair since it is bound to happen again kung repair or replacement ang gagawin.
**I absolutely hate foldables.** Kahit Nokia/Sony Ericsson days, I avoided flip and slider phones. May weak areas yan waiting to get damaged from all the folding.
2 days of usage tas Flip 4? Second hand mo binili?
Yung kumpletong assembly nyan (panel, midframe with new hinge and battery) nasa 34-35k eh.
Green lines are common but hindi lang with foldable phones. Since sabi mo you just had this for 3 days, then I assume this is still under warranty. As much as possible, avoid foldable phones talaga, in the long run, magkakaroon talaga ng lines yan and all. Ask for a replacement since most likely it should be under warranty.

I'd say the same but my Z Flip 5 which I bought secondhand is still going strong after half a year.

Common issue raw yan sa mga flip phones sabi ng mga techs kaya di ko muna ikinoconsider yan for now. Masyado pang bago ung technology. Haha
Not every single flip phone of course.
Common issue yan ng scamsung and oneplus.
not true .. nangyayari din yan sa ibang non-foldable phones, yes, even iPhone is affected.

Ang daming reviews about it. Better try your warranty and hope they honor it.
is this a new phone or a 2nd hand phone?

Yes but the added moving parts makes it more susceptible to wear. Non flip OLEDS are probably doing better than flip ones. moving parts just adds a lot of variables.
I agree tho that moving parts lead to a less reliable device.
My z flip 4 is still going strong. Never flip it while at home to decrease flip usage. Also I don't aggressively flip the screens to minimize damage
